its a rev 3....i have one and it looks exactly the same.....the rev 1 and 2 button placement are different......it still sounds awsome.....never played a rev 1 or 2....but still cool.....

Nope, as you can see, there is a volume knob where near the badge as well. That was only implemented in the Rev 3.x series, there was only an EDIT button on the Rev 1 and 2s.

Yes, I do know what 1982 gay bar disco sounds like. I had a poofy DJ neighbor who had a ton of the stuff on vinyl. Plus my sister and I stumbled into a gay bar one night. Gay bars can actually be fun for straight people as long as you take a girl with you and aren't insecure about your sexuality. Getting hit on creeped me out but I had my sister as an escape route. The music was cool, at least back then.

Looks like a Rev 3.x so it'd be the P5s with CEM chips installed, not SEM, which was in Revs 1 and 2.

No, it's a rev 1 or 2, look at the plate with the "prophet" name, it's big, just like the one on rev 2. Moreover, the song is made in 1979, just in the the same year when rev 2 came out. I guess sir Paul was imressed with the sound, that's why the sound is dominating in the song's sound palette.

I own a rev 3, and can vouch for the fact that this is a 3..NOT a 2.

The volume knob location is the quickest way to spot the difference between the two versions.
