Working as an emergency physician for 15 years I am convinced a thumper should be available on every ambulance car. Yet, I am afraid, in Germany, the care provided in this video would be considered sub-standard as the patient is not even intubated and mechanically ventilated. I strongly prefer the German approach to emergency medicine as we have anaesthetists as emergency physicians on the ambulance car.

I think that when we get the LUCAS HEART THUMPER in more ambulances and more hospitals we will have more successful codes!

no way the autopulse is better t don´t give decompression. It might be more easy to use though it´s nog gas driven.

the jury is out on which is more effective..... but after using both... and having battery problems and having to replace the autopulse bands... this seems a better deal and is easy to use.
