  • @poupeejolie I made this animation a few years ago, It was a flip book animation i made on my way to college. I ripped out the pages then scanned them. To answer your question the software i used was Mac imovie. :)

  • wow your animations are reeeaaaly good im gonna recommend them to all of my friends :)

  • @megaponymad Haha, thank you

  • very detailed animation, really like the concept. It was well done, i applaud you.

  • This is nice work, especially given it was done manually.

  • this diseverves 1,000,000 view or more

  • 0:30 LION FACE! that was pretty epic but i dont gett the um.. story? but yeah

  • This is great great stuff, keep it coming

  • how many drawings u made for this?

this is very good keep it up.

  • Hi thats really good i like it, just wondering, at the start, when its dark, did you invert the images so they came up negative? or is it simply black paper and white chalk pencils or something?? really love the effect! :)

  • Who ever dislikes this animation is just jealous. Dude your animation is cool, I'm impressed!

  • @darthluke97 thank you very much.

  • @darthluke97 i got freaked out by it! how do you do animations, coz i can draw amazingly, but i cant animate?

  • Really impressive. Look forward to more in the future!

  • Holy Shit this is so awesome!!

  • Also, thats a very interesting animation style. It must've taken a long time. I certainly don't have the patience for something like that as a solo project XD

  • Just for future reference, the standard Frames Per Second for an animated short is 20 frames per second. This allows you to double frame the parts that don't need to be quite as smooth, while giving you room for making in-betweens at parts that need more frames to look good. I am by no means a professional, but i have taken a few animation classes, and thats always been the standard.

  • gay

  • Wow I love this, needs more publicity, please - how did you make this? Is it pencil to pen and simply a case of drawing lots of frames as close picture wise as the last.

  • @Zimplony

thank you. I did everything on an a5 notepad... it started out as a flip book. I ripped out the pages and scanned them, then used the most basic editing software at my disposal.. Macs imovie. then just looped most of the frames

  • Is the shakiness in the beginning scene intentional? How do you do it, just keep changing the position of the character so it creates a wavering effect?

  • Wish I could say it was intentional, but it wasn't. The reason it's so shaky is because I drew the same frame multiple times, then looped them round with a slight variation.

  • its called the Boyle effect, you do it by drawing the same image twice and alternating between the two.

  • thank you. i used a range of 10 - 12 fps, then just looped the rest with a slight variation.

  • this is great, were you using 24 drawings per second or 12 and doubling them up?

  • it all fits

  • intresting animation style, I would like to know how you made this video. Have you ever thought about making a tutorial video?

  • thanx dude, i made this using "Mac Imovie"

As for a tutorial, i'm not sure if i'm qualified to teach others... i'm still learning myself but thank u for the feed back.

  • sup greg, awesome animation man - as you know i like the train bit the best. when are we gonna see your oher stuff?
