two of debbys' many great songs...she has a current cd "reflections of rosemary clooney" -she has raised a nice family and still has what it takes. saw her at scullers in boston and she j-j-jazzed that jazz club. sing on!!
When the towers fell down in september 11th, a local TVnews program played the song "It was such a good day" with images of the disaster..It was so touchy.
I remember the film If ever I see you again...starred by Shelley Hack. It was not a great film, the same as You light up my life. But both songs were beautiful. The song If ever I see you again had a considerable success in Latin America, but never at the level as You light up my life.
i remember that there was a male singer's version of "if ever i see you again", with some slight changes in the lyrics. the popular roberta flack version not only contained yet more changes in the lyrics but it was a longer version as well.
beautiful songs from joe brooks, made even more memorable by the rich vocals of debby boone.
are the songs "california" and "come share my life" also in debby's 2nd album? these are good tunes as well, penned by brooks for the movie "if ever i see you again".
Does anybody have her song "Above All Else"? I love that one!!!

Thank you, they were new to me. On her first album (you light up my life) she sang "Micol's theme" and I like that very much as well.
Concerning a movie: she played in a movie called "sins of the past" in 1984. Tap it into google and you'll find a review.

Who cares the religion of everybody else's? The fact is that she´s a terrific singer and her songs were very touchy.

Are you kidding? Debby is very much a christian. And in any case, it doesn't and shouldn't matter.

"Come Share My Love", "California" and "When It's Over" are in her 2nd album which are by Joe Brooks.
Brooks's compositions are also in Debby's 1st album that is relatively easy to get.
They are "A Rock And Roll Song", "Micol's Theme", "Hey Everybody", and of course YLUML.
In those songs vocalreverberations are restrained and the strings are outstanding.
I love them all.
