  • what a disappointment... only 297hp?

you can get that from a chipped 2.7t or even a chipped 2.0t... for a lot less money.

  • Nice Rims <3

  • Awesome car. For some reason where I am from you never hear much about audi performance and that is why I like it. AND THATS THE END OF IT. haha. great car.

  • better get rid of it before it breaks or the warranty runs out... I know I have had my audi a6 2.7 for 7 years and don't drive it anymore. will probably sell it.

  • @CEEPMDEE cool story

  • brainiac you are stupid a would rather have audi s6 than a porscha cayman or boxter the car looks cool and when you throw in nice rims it is a car for everyone

  • those are staggered wheels? can you put staggered wheels on an quattro???

  • @jag0da1 no u can't, if you do, bye bye center diff.

  • @olioli917 but why did this guy? and i put staggered wheels 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear on my A6 quattro, and im driving it 6 months now and nothing happened.....??

  • @jag0da1 good question. I think is the difference is small engough, you can get away with it. It also depends on the type of center diff you have. if the center diff was locked, you would have issues for sure. I think the new quattros probably have a variable torque split. So the diff may be able to handle it. Either way, somewhere along the line in the drive train, the difference is being absorbed. Probably by a clutch in the diff...

  • The lower than expected power is likely down to the known "carbon buildup" issue resulting from Audi's FSI direct injection system. Unfortunately just something we and all Audi owners have to put up with (Audi refuse to acknowledge it!!). It affects all FSI engines right down to the 2.0ltr. Essentially Audi and other manufacturers that use direct injection, have a small design flaw meaning all after only 20k miles you have large carbon build up resulting in significant power loss.

  • nice rims great car

  • Mustang Dyno is VERY conservative. You would see a lot more on a dynojet, which is what everybody quotes usually...

Don't forget, AWD AND AUTO transmission = higher drivetrain losses...

My V10 puts down around 350 on this dyno, but it significantly modified....

  • 350 for a V10 car.. There are 4 bangers with more HP, maby reconsider selling it ang buying something realy fast .

  • @Brainiac83 Your an idiot...

  • @Brainiac83 thats 350 to the wheels which is actually 456 or brake horsepower which is what all auto makers advertise

  • @Brainiac83 Let me explain this to you. Thats 350 to the ground through an auto box and AWD. The GTR is actualy making 530ish to put 420 or so to the ground. Thats roughly 80hp more than this car stock...roughly 80hp more to the ground. It's not broken and name me a 4banger that can cruise at 160+

  • @Daytonaman675 And let me explain to you that the car has a speed limiter on and its top speed is 155 mph.And no car cruises at 160 mph not even a lamborghini..Cruise and top speed are two different aspects of driving..Cruising is at 100 mph. And wer talking stock cars here and the car in the video is stock , so it has limiter. And audis look boring and thats the end of it..

  • @Brainiac83 Perhaps you have never heard of germany and unrestricted speedlimits? Yes I am aware that they have the gentlemans agreement and bmw, merc, and audi have limited their sedans to 155mph. Unrestricted I would expect 180+ from this car. And yes in germany some people cruise at 160 (traffic dependant). Your final argument that "audis look boring" is subjective and I disagree. I think the understated styling is perfect.

  • @Brainiac83

.And audis look boring and thats the end of it..

lol... you couldnt think of anything better to bash it for ? lol

and ofcourse it can cruise @ 155 mph.. jeez you're dumb

  • Factory specs are 435 bhp@6800 rpm, so this car should be putting 325-357hp to the dyno. Typical drivetrain loss is 18% and this being awd would be a little higher.

  • Can you really say that you loose hp in % because of the drive train? Let say we use the same drive train for a 200hp engine and a 1000hp engine, the losses for the 200hp engine is 36hp and for the 1000hp engine there are 180hp loss! Is that really so?

  • he HAS to be on 93. but even so i would be pretty disappointed to see a 2008 v10 car couldn't reach 300whp, and 315wtq doesn't sound like much for an v10. but handsome car anyways

  • It's all about the dyno being used, and AWD, and Autobox...which equals to serious losses and low #s....a 2008 RS4 only puts down 275 HP on this dyno...a car rated for 420 hp crank...

  • He said 297 hp 315 tq. That sounds reasonable, but they would probably get 310 hp with a few mroe pulls, I assume he was on 93 octane gas.

  • wth....how does it go from 435 to 297hp!?!?!?!?!

  • Because they are all clogged up with sticky oily crap even the low mileage ones. I took the inlet off my 8k mile B7 RS4 and it was covered in the crap that everyone is talking about. Great car Audi but you just didn't consider longevity did you?

  • What is all covered in sticky oil crap? Audi engines?!

  • it has 4WD so 60% of the power from the engine goes to the back and 40% to the front so the other HP goes to the front that's why all 4 wheels are spinning

  • numbers?

  • This was actually my car. The dyno run was done in 3rd gear. In retrospect a 1:1 ratio would be achieved in 4th gear on this 6 speed transmission.
