Then again, I'm biased because I grew up on the Genesis version, and didn't have an SNES until 2005. :P

Easily my favorite 90's game. I have my Deluxe Red Cartridge still. I'm honestly fairly certain those red cartridges were just about the only versions. I've only seen one black Genesis cart of Maximum Carnage in my entire life, and it was a rental.

only beat this game on an emulator. Great game though with cool music and commercial too but ridiculously hard.separation anxiety was terrrible though with a shitty ending and poor graphics. So was hoping we'd see maximum carnage on the big screen.

For an LJN game Maximum Carnage is a masterpiece. It's actually a pretty good beat-em-up that lets you play as fucking Venom! and it's pretty difficult too...
