Umm, I couldn't help but notice that the video was done by "Steve Miller".. Is that the Steve Miller? Or is it just a coincidence? BTW, I recall seeing Steve Miller contributing to Paul McCartney's Flaming Pie project in the documentary made about the album.. So I guess this wouldn't be a coincidence.. Maybe it is a relative?

Their signature song is still Hotel California, Don Felder wrote the music for that, plus all the guitar licks for their songs. He is considered as good as slow hand (Eric Clapton & George Harrison) on the guitar, the fact that he is associated with John Lennon and teaching children how to play music cements it for me. The Eagles are a shadow of themselves without Felder.

They should remaster it for DTS and DD on one disc that alternates audio tracks instead of selecting only at the start of playback. This disc dates back to DVD and Laserdisc consecutive releases! It's old!

Felder was the Eric Clapton/David Gilmour of The Eagles. Felder's guitar work reminded me of Clapton and Gilmour in feel, soul and so forth. The new Eagles album lacks Felder's guitar but the Walsh tracks and How Long and the title cut are great tracks.

Don Felder has a lot to answer for in this house...! 1) it was because of him that I came to love the Eagles for over 30 years 2) My husband used to have long blond hair, beard, wear checked shirts, play a guitar, etc... in the '70's (he still plays) 3) my 7 yo son saw Felder play on a DVD and piped up "mum I want to play banjo and slide guutar". he is now a DRUMMER! Argghhh - should I thank you Mr Felder???

I miss the real Eagles. Their new album is really good, better than I thought it would be. But they are just not the same without Felder. His solos, timing, slides, vibrato and fills just can't be replaced.

Have to agree - the new CD I keep because I like "How Long" (reminds me of their first album and is a lvoely song - thank you JD Souther). title track (Long Road) starts off good, there's a nice Walsh solo in the middle then ... fizzzzzzzzzz UHG what happened to the cool solo that was supposed to be at the end? Think it (and the rest of the riffs) went with Felder!

One of the best, I mean he wrote the music for Hotel California. I mean the Intro with the 12-string, the harmonies, the bass line, his solo. and the chords. He came up with the best song in history in my opinion. He's the Best!!!

He was fired over money issues. He then sued the Eagles for wrongful termination and breach of contract.Henley and Frey only considered him a guitar and noted that he didnt sing like him.Felder is a killer guitar player and wrote note for note(minus Walsh's lead solo break)all of the instrumental music to Hotel California.
