A hauntingly beautiful song that was so much a part of my past, although the circumstances were different, the consequence was the same. i did say good-by but that was after she told me she didn't love me and never did at first i was shocked then i got up and we went outside to the porch..and i then kiss her as i never kissed her in all the six months that we knew each other, and she said as we parted our lips "wow" and then i said good-by and i never call her again, but i never forgot about that last kiss, and i hope she never did either, but then again i will never know this song reminds me of that last kiss those sweet lips...
How I love this song, I read somewhere that Englebert's manager was sure this was going to be a number one song and it surprised him totally when it didn't soar to the top of the charts, to my eyes and ears it's a great great song and I love it

hearing this song makes me think of my ex g/f, mother of my kids, she left in 2005, got married in 2008, and moved to south carolina and i found out on the monday after easter that she was killed in a car accident....i miss you chrissy....so much it hurts me everyday....your girls miss you so much also.....i'll love you forever 1/16/85-04/05/10
