The best thing to wear to a casting call is jus something u feel comforatable in, because if your not comfortable then your audition may feel ackward and when you feel awkward you look ackward so just dress casual it bring better results

I don't know who told you that you should dress the part, but all the casting directors I've ever talked to find it irritating and manipulative. Don't do it.

I'd also recommend using proper grammar on your resume and in written communication with others about your acting career. Your txt version of correspondence will definitely annoy the hell out of casting directors, producers and anybody else used to reading proper English.

You need to wear the exact same clothes because the casting director is more likely to remember you and your first audition by what you were wearing You have to understand that the casting director has probably seen hundredsof people. So they are more likley to say , hey remeber that girl that wore that green shirt ? she was really good!

Because the casting director may see dozens of people in one session, and they may make note of you as "the guy in the green jacket." It's more distinguishing than "the guy with brown hair." If you're not in the same green jacket the next time they see you, it may not register for them. Sounds weird, but keep in mind at a lot of these auditions (especially cattle calls) you're just one strange face in a sea of hundreds.

Basically when you do the audition, the casting director wants to experience that character for the character.

Don't think of it as the CD is there to see you fail or even that he's there to see you at all. Think of it more like they honestly don't care about you in the way they would if it's a first date and as long as you're nervous, then they don't get to see the character they want to see.

So as long as you're that character and not you, what do you have to be nervous about? :)

Because the casting director often sees hundreds of people, and they may remember you as "the girl in the red t-shirt" or something like that. If youre not wearing that red jacket on the call-back you're maybe not registerering for them. Of course you don't HAVE to wear the exact same clothes, but it's a smart trick.(sorry for my bad english)

You want the casting director to see you AS the character.

I do agree, make sure you wear the exact same thing to the callback, so try not to wear it and mess it up in the time, in between the orig audition, and the callback!

you can't audition online. First you have to find a photographer who will take your 'headshots' and it cost a good deal of money. It has to be a good 8x10 picture of you which includes your name at the bottom. Then you send it in to a talent agency or agent and they will let you know if they want to represent you. They will help you find auditions for television and film.

well go to acting agencys like john robert powers and audition i went there you need to make an appoitment and like,have a pic of yourself some agencys you dont need resumes but just to go audition,be well dress and be loud and clear when your auditioning also go to craiglist you can find acting auditions and casting calls to believe me iknow how you feel i was the same point as you..

yep you have to wear the same thing because if you got a call back ( yay u congrats :)) that means the casting director had/or director liked the way u dressed for ur CHARACTER.
