i live in missouri, and to the best of my knowledge, you do not have to have an SRS letter unless you want to change your GENDER, not just an opposite gendered name. you will probably have to come back and go to court and tell them you aren't trying to be a fraud or escape debt or anything...
Even though I'm not trans, I know what you're going through. Sort of. I have Asperger's Syndrome and there was a time where I had to warn people that I might screw up socially, so if I do, that's why. But I think I've matured enough that it rarely affects me. It's annoying when people who know I have it see me make a mistake (which we all do) and immediately bring that up. I just want to get on with my life now that I've had my own transition so to speak, as you do with your transition.
When you change in the locker room, is that tough lest the other gays "look?" Just wondering; hoping this question isn't offensive to you. I'm sure it's tough.
Well, I've never changed in a locker room with other gay guys. If I did it would probably be with friends who already know. Otherwise, I usually wear a packer and not change my boxers. I always wear a packer to the gym anyway because my shorts wouldn't look right if I didn't. Using a urinal in the men's room at a gay bar would be much more problematic.
