@NeonSunset15 you only need to connect to xbox live for the update and you can get the achievement, but the Free plasmid DLC helps to get your Tonic Collector achievement =]

hey if anyone here is puzzeld by this video why he got 17 insted of 19 its because there are 2 in the beginning and 17 in the actual medical pavillion this video is focusing on the actual 17 if you look at the messages and go to welcome to rapture theres gunna be 19 because the beginning level has two diarys "Hole in the bathroom + New years eve alone" after that the remaining will be at either the entrance to the medical wing and the actual medical wing

@NeonSunset15 its a section titled "Welcome to Rapture -- Medical Pavilion" in there, there should be a total of 19, because there are 2 in the Welcome to Rapture chapter and 17 in the Medical Pavilion chapter =]

PS If you have missed the 2 in Welcome to Rapture or the 3 before the *Spoiler Alert* Boss Battle with Andrew Ryan, you will NEED to start the game all over again, unfortunately =[

@F4TB0Y69 you dont have to start all over. in fact, its easiest to go back after *spoiler alert* you become a big daddy. you can go back to the metro and go where ever you want. plus, no one will attack you because they think you're a big daddy. this also goes for security

@xOwnedBySantax no, the two parts i mentioned CANNOT be traveled to again because they are flooded and no longer accessable, trust me you have to get those ones on your 1st swing of the game any of the other 120 odds arent the problem, just those 5 are required on your 1st playthrough, trust me man i have been through the game more times than ive been through dinners =]

The only ones you need to worry about are the first 2 at the start of the game.. all the others can be found at any time.

Oops. Sorry about the first comment, I usually consider Welcome to Rapture and and medical pavilion as one level since the game does also. There are 17 diaries in medical pavilion.

There is 19 on this level. If you have found 17 then you are two off. I believe one of them is Love For Science. Which is the one I am looking for. I hear it is by a health station in the medical pavilion foyer. Sucks cuz it's the only one I can' t find. Nice vid anyways, but unfortunatelly it can''t help me. :'(

the historian is almost imposibble tink about it if you miss a little detail hidden behind a crate or someting and you is searching every room and every level of bioshock but you can't find the last one.. it is just so unbeliveable hard to get the achievement..
