@davss5 not sure cause i keep changing it, right hand is playing 8th notes with a 16th thrown in occasionally, a lot of the time I'm ghosting the best part of an inverted paradiddle as 16th notes, but starting it on 2 (R) (counting bar as 6) That's the general displaced feel I was goin for...accenting 2 (kick)and 5(snare) in a bar of 6. But there's times where I'm playing 3s with left, and right...
Thanks Alex, glad u got some ideas out of it, I'll definately keep posting when I get the time, exactly what, I don't know. There's nothing over difficult in this groove, just concentrate on where the '1' is in the bar and mess around with sticking...I might even talk about that next time. Thanx! Dean : ) b.t.w. If anyone wants a drumless copy of this to jam with, just let me know, I'll add a link to it.
looks like theres alot of ghost notes there. is that right? cause i don't here them on my end? i mean i know that's why they are ghost notes but what i wanted to know is does that sound the same as your playing or are you hearing more? i hope my question makes sense. hell of a job by the way. i'm sooo glad i found you.
Yeah, there's quite a few, creating a 16th sort of feel all the time but they're blending in with hats, kick, synth bass etc. I can hear em, but only just cause I know what to listen for, You Tube kills the top end clarity and nuances unfortunately.
Cool loops. You could sell those as soundtrack music for some movie. Cool ideas too. 6/8 is just really fun to mess around with for some reason. It's hard to lose a groove with it, but you really had some great stuff in there!
wow!!! i´m not watching all your videos because i don´t have all the time i´d like to, but every time they get better and better. This is like a great lesson but great music too. Congratulations once again. In some days i´ll have to send you something. Looking forward to jam once again with you my big friend!
What is your sticking pattern (in L, R, ghosts, etc.)?...

It's a Mapex 13" maple piccolo, recorded with an sm57, pretty flat eq, tiny bit of reverb, nothing special, it's how it sounds.

Thank you Churro, I just made 2 loops on the keys and jammed with it, ideas kept changing all the time, the whole vid was around 15 mins! Ha.

But the loops sound great, and so your drumming... This one goes to my iPod.
Not the style, but the concept recalled me of David Garibaldi.
Greetings

Hi Churro,
Nice to hear from you again,
Thanx man, Garibaldi is the man definately, love the way he chops up the groove and still keeps it funky and in the pocket.
