@simpsons618 It's not that she didn't want to have Luke's kid, it was that she just didn't want to have a kid at that time. She never really had time for herself, or to actually grow up since she had Rory so young. So this would be her time to settle down, with no kids, a steady boyfriend, at least for a while.
