The music is wonderful. Much of the message is absolute garbage. The only part of the message which is true is that the "security wall" is unnecessary and obtrusive, otherwise --as I said and I repeat for emphasis-- the message is absolute garbage and unhelpful in promoting peace and coexistence.
What are you talking about? The massive and totally unjustified destruction of the ancient Palestinian olive groves is well documented. It has never been justified. And its intent is evil: The idea is, that in uprooting the trees, you uproot the people and destroy their right to remain in their homeland.
The settlers MUST be removed from the West Bank. They are not only enemies of peace and justice, they are a menace to innocent Israeli civilians in Israel proper.
@wndy123 Isn't being in denial about the basically truthful message of this song the Israeli state of mind which is the greatest hindrance to peace? Sure Israelis have suffered, but nothing like as much as Palestinians. That is clear to any impartial person.
I'm Palestinian. My family lost 50% of its olive trees planted by my father's father in '48 and we're losing the rest gradually, specially recently because of the wall :(
