The funny part is is that they moved it and said it was going to be a library but its been there for a year and has been sitting there with nothing done to it except a sign was put on it saying"future monroe library"
I MUST SAY WHAT A JOB WELL DONE. IM A MOVER MYSELF FROM TACOMA,WASHINGTON, I BEEN DOING THIS TYPE OF WORK FOR OVER 27 YEARS. I AM HAPPY TO SAY ITS BEEN A PLEASURE WORKING FOR THE "McDOWELL" FAMILY. THEY'VE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER A 100 YEARS AND STILL GOING! I LOVE THE JOB AND PLAN TO BE WITH IT FOR THE NEXT 25 YEARS IF MY BODY ALLOWS ME TO.WELL, ONCE AGAIN, YOU GUYS HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB AND WISH YOU ALL MANY MORE. MUCH RESPECT, JOHN "HOUSE" TUAMALIGI..
An average day in the life of a house mover. This was a nice job to be a part of. I am one of the three workers in this video, funny to come accross yourself in a youtube video. I am the one in the green hard hat whose job it was to steer the rear set of dollies as we pulled onto hiway 99. But the true beauty of this move was what was not filmed. The lifting, loading and manuvering of the building behind another building in close quarters. Great job on what the film did capture though.
not new stuff, but renovating a piece of history. instead of demolishing history, it is moved and new life is put into it. even though this can be expensive, it takes special kind of people to do this.
