Thanks. In my case, MD MIDI out directly into the KP MIDI in is the simplest and tightest. The KP is set to EXT sync. In this demo - it really doesn't matter when I trig the KP3 sample pad - as long as my playing is in time it will always come out sounding right since the KP will just loop to the exact number of beats based on clock. If I choose to stop the MD (as opposed to just muting) then when I restart the MD I better be on the downbeat otherwise things can get off.
can you just put loads of loop layers on to one sample bank? and then do like a different section on another bank?
