Hi Dr. Allen. For the past 2 months I've been experiencing a burning sensation accross the outer end of my big toe if I stretch my right foot in front of me and point my toe down as far as possible. It feels as though there is a tendent or muscle which is shorter than normal or not in the right place. The pain is so intense that I get the feeling that I'll rip a tendent or something if I try to point my toe to it's maximum - the burning sensation increases the further I stretch. Can you help?

The Peroneus longus is incredibly important here too.

I have no idea, not without seeing you to clinically examine you.
