  • how the eff do you get that awesome country crunch sound?!?!? mabey i cant because im playng a les paul :(

  • A Fender Hendrix Tribute strat using a 1959 Fender Tweed Champ amp - guitar, chord, amp ... glad you enjoyed it!

  • @thebigchillman You just need an amp that allows you to gain up on the clean channel. Usually a single coil is "less" distorted and has lower output. That bright tinny sound is not going to happen with the paul.. I have a 3 pickup paul and the center pickup mixes the bridge and center and gets close but that is about it.

  • #$%^&*( awesome. THANKS

  • thanks, I hope you found something to use from this...cool!

  • I play this song Eddie about every day or at least every time I pick up the guitar. Sad... You just cleared up some of the bits I never quite get right. That C-G played up the neck sounds so much better than a bar cord there.

Once again you deserve the "master" designation!

  • I'm very glad you found this to be helpful...cool!

  • my favourite song by JMH, brilliante

you play it very very well...

  • AMAZING VIDEO! really helpful video for those wishing to learn those small intricacies of the songs progression. More then just a "how to play" video. Thank you very much!

  • this is perfect, i just wish i knew what the hell you were talking abouti dont know all these technical terms!

  • Very interesting... thanks for the lesson, Sir!

  • fantastic mate , very educational , ive been playing guitar since 1984 and I am only just learning to play the tunes i really love thanks to guys like you , wish youtube was around when I was a teenager . I learnt to play this by ear like you , only problem is I play it lazy and miss out loads of the parts . thanks for the free lesson

  • To think guys like you figured these songs out with tape recorder... Watching how to videos should be like cheating but it doesn't feel like I'm cheating.. When it's said musicians make it look easy that's totally true.

  • Many do not realize how much time and concentration it took to do it that way...nowdays, with computer chips and cds, the tools they have are so easy to use!

  • it takes a lot of effort to learn by ear but you are on a completely different level than the ones who watch vids like this if u can manage to. But it doesnt nessecarily matter if u wanna make it in the music businness any more

  • cool, thanks!

  • Eddie, great post. Now show me how to play "Hey Joe" so i can play it at Trippy's funeral. lol

  • Thanks Joe ... I can't play a note on a guitar so the lesson was way over my head - BUT - its remarkable to a novice like me how understandable Eddie Grey would be to a player. If I played the guitar, I could imagine myself watching this over and over again to learn. Thanks
