Are these safe for human consumption? It seems like a really good time-saving alternative to rearing and preparing live insects.

@DeepFriedDoom The manufacturers say that it is not fit for human consumption. I imagine this is because it is not made in a proper facility. Although I don't really think many people eat insects.

do you also still need to add calcium or vitamin powder in it?

@tomvm01 It's in there but remember you can still add supplements to the other types of food that your reptile eats.
