The open source and customization of andriod devices... makes iphones just obsolete... Plus I don't like when tech gets out dated the next day by the same model or device. I.E I still have the newest Galaxy S phone, SGS2, Samsung doesn't roll out the SGS3 days later... Not to mention, the whole, 3,3s,4,4s thing is a joke, its like buying a GTX 580 overclocked card when you already own a reference clock card.. (if SLI didn't exsist)

@Kirus1993x as far as i know no home-class WIFI routers go over 8mbit/s ,right? They go over it and do it in "pulses" not constant,let's say 50mbit/s, streams ... industrial class wifi routers/hubs however do that. That's what i heard from a hardware guy

I'd prefer the older Nexus S over this, costs less and can do the same. I still see no reason in an dual core CPU for an phone. Also, battery lasts nearly a whole week after some configurations. :)

I feel the same way about the screen difference. But I have an HTC Evo and The screen is pretty big, and whenever I use a friends IPhone I cant type basically at all on it because I'm so used to the Bigger screen. But nice review.

I enjoyed this review a lot more than I thought I was going to after your Apple fan-boy admittance. My only comment would be that you do fail to mention that the OS bias goes both ways, in that there are Android users that sometimes can't help but be completely baffled by some of the imperfections of IOS (and there are many!). On the whole though, a great review.

I have the same problem with my EVO 3D some apps don't run as smooth as other do. Also, I purchased apps with my previous phone and then a little after they were removed. It was a waste of money. Android needs to step up their game or else they will loss customers.

I use a Galaxy Nexus and an iPod Touch so that I have experience with both OS's. I love both Android and iOS! The iPod Touch feels so small though after getting used to the Galaxy Nexus.

If you think that the Nexus lags a little when doing things (totally agree about the iOS > Android sextion), you should try owning an HTC Wildfire. It is terrible, hella slow, I had to root it and OC the processor a bit before it got anywhere near "fast", and it still sucks.

I still don't understand the battery drain and screen roatation issue. Its seems as if the cell company's aren't learning too much from the XDA devs. I get 18 to 20 hrs of battery life on my G2 but this is also a rooted phone.

I'm sure you already know this, but AirPlane mode comes in handy when you don't wanna drain battery. It turns off WiFi, Data, etc. So when you're not using the data (ie: in a commute, just playing games, ). It really makes a difference!

Lamar you can get pictures on your phone while using Google voice. All you have to do is go to your google voice on your computer and go to settings right above your text messages. After that go to the voicemail & text tap go down to text forwarding and select the option. And that's it from here on you will receive a copy of all your text in your email including picture messages. And actually receiving pictures this way is really great because no matter how big the picture is you always get it.

ALL of their developer guidelines say that it is better to have few features but better implementation than one app that does everything, but poorly. This is their belief behind iOS. Provide refined features. Android is aiming at full feature set, but lacks a stunning implementation. So there is a tradeoff

With all the restrictions on it, for me it is the best phone ever, and about screen 3,5" are definitely good for me, because I have ipad 2 for other entertainmen, I mean a phone must be compact and we don't see it in many android devices.

The sort of delays are not just orientation but pinch to zoom, scrolling and various other touch gestures. Things you notice on an Android. Over time they get annoying and you wish it would respond better.

I've had a Samsung Fascinate for about a year now. I like it in general, but it tends to freeze up at times. It bothers me how much it updates itself, and the software updates are constantly changing how the texting works. The keys get smaller and smaller each time, and punctuation and icons become more of a hassle to use. I've noticed the consistency in apple products such as friends' iPhones, and even in the iPad. I doubt I will go back to android anything when it is time to upgrade.

I had some issueswith battey at first, but then I foun out there was a thing called media hub that tries to downloada new update every five minutes in the background. It is uninstallable from the market, but it does drainbattery life SO MUCH!!!! Thumb up so he sees.
