  • there was shit the size of bath tubs flying onto the highway while burning

  • that was not shrapnel, that was a whole damn tank, those tanks have safety plug on the bottom that melt away when in a fire & acetylene burns at 5000 degrees. when the tank catches fire it WILL take off like a rocket so when you see one on fire you better be in a good position to run like hell.

  • good thing there's a mute button

  • Aint such a great parking spot now, is it?

  • Someone lost their job!

  • I hope the guys that own those cars have Acetylene explosion insurance.

  • Love to know more about this what was the fuel stored there. Looks like 55 gallon drums from a fuel depot. But to have them continuously go up like that is something I have never seen before , usually with a fire of that intensity they would all heat up at about the same time and all blow at once.. or eventually all blow at once.. The pilot of the helicopter was most likely far away from the thing and taking footage with a telephoto lens on the camera..

  • @Crpetersena It was a welding supply company it had Acytelene tanks stored there many were full.

  • we just BBQ before 2012 right

  • my car!!!!!!!

  • Too bad Bush didn't go up with it.

  • Is that the pilot audio? He's one cool character, or else just nuts, while this disaster shoot flaming gas cylinders at him.

  • Yeah man that shyt was all over the place. I-35 was all sorts of F'd up that day ^^.

  • hey is it that welding place by the ASPCA

  • Isn't that a porno shop across the street? Not that I would know or anything...

  • hmm... somthing stinks

  • I could have video taped that a lot better. He sucked!

  • that truck got freaking destroyed!!!!

  • i remember watching this live on tv. it was pretty cool. i only live like 20 minutes from dallas. jeez check out that tank that took off around :47-49

  • i saw the tank fly.

  • oh man, looking at it more closely, you can see it tail-spinning at :45, then BAM! It's a freakin rocket!

  • What wouldve been great was if it had culminated in one fuck off huge explosion that decimated 10 city blocks.

  • Wow, crazy how far those tanks were launching. That one did a cool spin before it took off. Shame that people's lives and property are impacted but what a spectacular series of fireballs. Thanks for sharing the video.

  • wat da fuck is burnin

  • Well its clear the fire dept was like...well fuck this XD

  • i passed by the warehouse today and its weird cause its litterally right behind a Sigels liquour store, but tthe liquor store is virtually untouched.!!

  • OMG I was thinking about the same thing, its so crazy how that liquor store survived. I must go there and buy a bottle of liquor now....its only a little scorched on the back but not bad at all.

  • My dad's been a Dallas firefighter for 30+ years and he said he's never seen anything like that fire. They found tanks 2 miles up the road on the other side of the highway. They are lucky only 3 people got hurt and no one was killed. I use to vol. for a fire department and we had a junk yard that caught on fire and there were acetylene tanks in there. Before they blow they let out this LOUD hissing sound then they get so hot they are like rockets.

  • Correction.. 2 guard dogs were killed.

  • I work fo a courier service and I went to Industrial Blvd for a delivery half a mile from the site and I heard someone there say they had shrapnel hit their warehouse.

  • Where was he standing? Pretty high up.

  • Comment removed

  • Now THAT's 'Shock&Awe'!!!!!!!

  • i work fill acetylene for airgas. that was only an acetylene fire. if oxygen or hydrogen were present, it would have been much worse.

  • This was a full on facility. I have a small acetylene tank I used to get filled there. There was o2 and hydrogen there, but the sound of explosions one after another lasted more than thirty minutes.

  • oh yeah, but if nobody got hurt that would have been a sight to see

  • thanks, this was the best footage by far

  • How far away is the Hyatte hotel? I seen where a projectile hit the window...

  • I think it is about 500 yards away (as the crow flies).

  • I was on top of the parking garage at Reunion Arena watching all this is was absolutey crazy! I saw tanks fly everywhere

  • I still can't believe that more people were not hurt with all of the gas tanks flying everywhere. They said that those suckers landed over a mile away

  • very good video...

  • I think they said there were all sorts of gas tanks, not just acetylene. Also oxygen and hydrogen. Looked pretty crazy.
