  • That was wonderful!!!

I'm the Visiting Teaching Coordinator Assistant in my ward, so I'm going to try to find a time to show this to our ward Relief Society President!

    Thanks for sharing it!!!

  • Great tune as long it's not a welfare mom taking advantage of the system..

  • This is simply fantastic. Thank you so much. I used this at our Relief Society birthday dinner and it touched many many hearts. You are talented and inspired. Love this!! As for the negative comments on here, I find it comical that they don't "get it". You clearly do :)

  • The wonder twins are Mormons, kindof.. Jack Mormons that sing and dance. seevids here!

  • Pretty cool! Check out "The Wonder Twins" Tim and Tom Butler dancing! I don't take off my clothes, but he does! We will be dancing on "America's Got Talent" in July, vote for us okay!

  • That was pretty tight!

  • AMAZING!!! Just heard this song at our relief society social today and I was balling!! We are daughters of GOD and he loves us!! We do everything we do for him!!!

  • WONDEFUL!

  • This song seriously touched my heart! Thank you - you are very talented, indeed!

  • Not my style of music, but this is an awesome song! I love the message. I feel like he touched on every woman and every struggle out there! Love the accent Alex!

  • Thanks for including so many references to things such as the footprints in the sand poem, this was well planned and inspired. Well done! We need positive messages in modern musical styles, I would rather have this blasting than any of the top 40 on the radio today.

  • Wow. I'd sure love to see some of our guys get together and practice to sing us this song on our RS anniversary on 17 March in our branch. get going guys, you can do it! Thanks Alex , it's great.

  • I guess those seven dislikes need a Relief Society casserole and some never-failing Charity! I loved this--very sweet!

  • Thank you, Alex. You made my day.

  • love it love it!

  • 7 dislikes?

  • Wow! Awesome tribute to women. Proud to be a member of the Relief Society!

  • amazing! and thanks for all you do for MoTab. wonderful.

  • oh what a beautiful song! it is so enlightening! thanks for remembering Heavenly Mother, I think about her too. This is a very unusual song. it made me cry!

I've raised 9 children, so this song was really precious to me. :')

  • Love it! As a woman of this church, I accept his compliments and tributes.

  • Really uplifting! If this music helps us, to get through our days, to become and feel closer to our Heavenly Father (and Mother!), how can it be wrong? I think this falls under "If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." (13th Article of Faith) Don't you think the adversary would want you to get angry against motivational music? Make you lose your vision over a few words? Anything to stop us from being loving, joyful Saints.

  • I ADORE this song! Absolutely wonderful! What a beatiful, uplifiting tribute to the RS! I had a smile on my face the whole time I listened to it. For those few of you who are saying negative comments about this song, first, you clearly do not know what rap is, as this is NOT rap.If you want to know what rap is, listen to Jay-Z (who by the way I love).I have been a member all my life, and I listen to edited rap/hip hop AND I have raised 2 spiritual children- there is nothing wrong with that!

  • I think this is awesome! Loved the music and the lyrics! For all the haters.. You people are what is wrong with the church. Self righteous and uptight people who drive others away from the church! Get off that high and mighty thrown you sit on and learn to appreciate people's musical talents that are used for good! What is wrong with rap or hip hop if there is no profanity, sex, drugs, or violence involved? Thanks for sharing your song Alex, you are talented!

  • What an inspiring song! Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us and the world.

  • You have no idea how much i needed that loving reminder tonight!! i believe we are changing the world... one loved soul at a time!!! I let everyone I meet every day know that I am a mormon.... and I love you!! And there are prophets on the earth that give me peace!! I love sharing the gospel that I love.... and i love bringing relief to the mentally ill.... that I love.... Thanks so much for sharing truth in a wonderful song!!! God bless alll your efforts (I know that he will)

  • I'm a proud member of the Relief Society!!

  • Wow...Thank you for this song. It's really beautiful! Nothing touches my soul as completely as music. I don't understand how anyone would take offense to something that is clearly intending to show praise and respect.

This really made my morning, Thank you again!

  • Just love it,!!! I never tought that somebody could think on us and make a special song with a different rithm to describe us. I don't care what other say about it ,this song is awsome, in a every nice sense, I even bought it from Itunes, way to go Alex, god bless you.

  • I'm having issues with the church....but this song is STILL super touching =) i mean, his wife is sooo lucky to have a man that respects women like that. My momma almost got teary eyed when he says that "If I meat Heavenly Mother she would look just like you." That's so touching =,)

  • Everyone has valid points and I think that music can reach into hearts of souls of people. Music can express emotions where words seem to fail. I know that for me at least, not only have a deep respect for women in the scriptures but women who work so hard at creating homes in this world. Who never seem to tire day after day. And who truly life the arms that hang helplessly down. Music uplifts. His music was why a father who would not listen before in my mission was baptized. He loved music.

  • So uplifting and encouraging! Thank you!

  • Wow. People are so ridiculous. Being offended? Did you hear the lyrics? He's praising you. Get off your high horse. Thanks Alex, this is great :)

  • FANTASTIC ALEX! AMAZING! VERY BEAUTIFUL SONG, ALEX I AM SO PROUD OF YOU, FROM YOUR BIG SISTER IN BONNIE SCOTLAND UK.

TO THOSE PEOPLE WHO OBJECT TO THIS WONDERFUL INSPIRATIONAL SONG, HERES A QUESTION FOR YOU- DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE PHRASE POETIC LICENSE MEANS?, LOOK IT UP! VERY ENLIGHTNING.

  • This is a wonderful song.ALEX YOU MADE MY DAY..In everything we'll have opposition...even from inside the church.Do people realize what this world do to us has women? When we can have a song to bless our hearts and lift our spirits...amen to that!!!! Jesus didn't come to save the righteous and he surely wasn't boring..God bless you Alex for thinking about the women in Relief Society. He without sin let him first cast a stone.

  • Oh, and if anyone feels it intolerant of rap music to say it "dresses subjects down", ask yourself why Handel would have been inspired to write using Isaiah's text and music that lasts throughout the ages, the kind that doesn't rock and roll? Could the Lord not have inspired Handel to set things to a style that could reach even the most uneducated. Of course he could have. But the sacred has reason to remain sacred. Alex Boye is a talented singer and composer, but it doesn't make this ok.

  • Wow. I wonder reading these comments, "Is it intolerant to feel sacred subjects should not be put into modern styles of music?" Think whether we would be ok walking out of the temple and putting sacred matters there into a rap song so more could "feel they understand better". How then could anyone feel ok witnessing a "dress down day" to a prophet's foreordained calling, a heavenly mother whose office is so undeniably honored, or our Savior being comforted by Mary on Earth?

  • I agree with some of the comments but....if it reaches some people that other music doesn't, then great! The Spirit talks in all languages.

  • 1. When making reference to a Heavenly Mother we do so with the utmost reverence and respect, certainly not in conjunction with rap music.

    2. To say that Joseph Smith was only half a prophet until Emma showed up is blasphamy.

    3. Using "aphrodite super woman" to describe a righteous Relief Society sister is offensive and degrading to her and all she stands for.

    4. Using the 13th article of faith to condone such lyrics and music is ignorance. (see 8th comment before this one)

  • Amazing! Thank you for the beautiful tribute to women!

  • How awesome! Thanks so much, Alex. From a "fellow" (sister) LDS musician/composer. I am a great, great grand-daughter of Hyrum Smith, very protective of the Church, principles and doctrine, and very aware of the tolerance and open-mindedness necessary to reach and include our younger generations, who will be the warriors to save our nation and keep the gospel in safe hands. ENCORE!!

  • Like this message thanks Alex for your care about RS. We watched few video of you on you tube, keep doing you job Alex making music you have the gift.

  • I don't understand these narrow minded insular unappreciative people who fail to show there support for our brother Alex. the God given means of musical expression comes in all hues shades and genres, the message is loud and clear, we love it and i know Emma smith would love it too. keep up the good work Alex don't let the stiffs get you down.

  • We can each offer praise using our individual creativity. This wouldn't be presented in Sacrament Meeting, but the intention is good. We don't all have to wear the same color & march in a straight line. If men throughout the world appreciated women like this, the world would be better off. Thank you for your tribute, Alex.

  • Now, I certainly don't like regular rap (I find it insulting, monotonous and annoying). But if someone offers a tribute in a way that they know how, and doesn't insult our Heavenly Father in the process, then I'm all for it. This was both clever and reassuring. This is not a church chapel performance - it's on YouTube as a witness for the world to hear and read. This is Alex's testimony from the heart. Alex, I accept the compliment. Rochelle, Palmdale 4th Ward, Calif

  • I totally agree with you.

  • This was not the music I grew up with however I think the song is a great expression of love. Good for you.

  • To everyone who feels "uncomfortable" with this type of music, do you not know the Spirit can be found in ANYTHING that is good, according to the 13th Article of Faith. Wake up, people. Gladys Knight sings in firesides all over the US and she IS performing music that is touching millions of hearts with the Spirit that DOESN'T sound like sacrament meeting mediocrity. Alex is doing what others fail to do. Get over yourselves. My name is Daniel Carter.

  • Sacreligious. In all my years directing and performing music in the Church that is the only word I can think of to describe this display.

  • Are you people serious?

Is this really worthy of the oldest and largest women's organization in the world?

Frankly, I'm a bit uncomfortable for Bro. Boye.

Sadly, this will end up on some "not your mother's LDS music" CD and sold in Deseret Book.

Even more embarrassing, Bro. Boye will be featured at the next Women's Conference at BYU performing this "amazing and comforting" song. Where has our dignity gone?

I think I hear Emma Smith turning in her grave to the beat of the music.

  • I don't normally like anything that has any 'rap' sound to it, but I LOVE the message of this song:D!

  • WOW this is awesome... LOVE IT! ! ! !

  • thank you, I needed this today!

  • Awesome Alex! Way to go ! : ) I'm going to share this! Love ya!

  • cool :D

    i like it!

  • 3:45-55 is sure comforting ... Cuz the house is never clean and the work is never done! This sure made my day. Great song! :)

  • awsome" your my ester my my mary, my hannah my ruth, my princess of faith and my queen of truth!!!!" love that part

  • The song is beautiful and inspirational. Thank you Alex for making the women of the Church feel needed and special. What a tribute to women. Thank you for sharing with us your wonderful talent. • Alex, it seems like there is such a feeling overwhelm in the hearts of many of the women in the Church. They are so wonderful, but they carry a heavy load. I think it IS time they know just how much God loves them and that they take strength from their pioneer heritage. I love them for the beauty they've brought into my life. I am a better man because of the great women that have loved me. Thanks for the song!

  • Great song! "If you knew the power you had you'd eliminate world hunger, cut the deficit in half" haha
