@mxkcrm@mxkcrm No ROM tune. Stock ECU. The fuel system had a bored out fuel rail by ATS, walbro fuel pump, raised fuel pressure and cleaned out stock 440cc injectors for consistency. I had a wideband to make sure I wasn't running lean. On 93 octane and 19 PSI I ran a 12.7 @ 112 with a 1.7 60 ft. I used to have a CT-20b upgrade... If you're looking for some good power, get the TD06. Actually my preferred choice would be the Garret GT3076 twinscroll if you have the money.
@soloryderrr It is a red stitched wheel from a 2002 Corolla S. The wheel it actually smaller in diameter than the Stock wheel, making the MR2 feel much more sporty. It bolts right in, and the cruise control plug even plugs right in, and works perfectly. The airbag is from a 1998 Celica. All have the same shape steering wheel and should fit the MR2 (including the MRS).
@soloryderrr I am about 5'11. I might be 6 feet. I haven't measured myself in years. I do however have long legs and a short torso, so when I sit down, I look like I am short. I usually have plenty of leg room, and of course plenty of head room. I never ran into a problem fitting into my MR2. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks in person. I could still scoot the seat back far enough to where I could barely reach the pedals.
Awesome! Thanks for letting me know. I am the same way, long legs, shorter torso.. headroom is the biggest as I wanna sit low, but legroom is nice too. It seems that you can go back quite far with the seat though from what I have seen. Thanks for the info!! Car looked like fun btw, its to bad you had to sell!
Looks like you are locked in fail safe maps as you are seeing 10:1 in AFR's as soon as you give it some gas. Then it is not hitting 260 whp at 14 psi! Maybe at 11.5-12..
thank you thats actualy a very intersting video to see an mr2 with a td06. its nice to see someone that understands the differnce between a wide and narrowband afr monitor .....bloddy hell knew it ran rich but 10/1 geez. shame mate you sold it as getting the afr at wide open throttle back to 12s would of helped alot
Yeah, it did run rich during WOT because it was on the factory ECU with fuel pressure at 50 psi. Not to mention it was only at 14 PSI with Cali "piss water" 91 octane. I didn't want to play with piggyback ECUs or anything because the engine was brand new. It was either run rich and safe, or have it professionally tuned and go all out. Back in FL, the factory ECU had AFRs around 11.5:1 at WOT on 93 octane.
well no wonder i thought ur name looked familiar. lol u were on the mr2oc forums. that sucks that its gone. but im trying to get the money for one from ATS. i love power to weight ratio
The car is running a Greddy TD06 20g external gated. It also has a built motor with everything but cams and cams gears. The car was probably putting down 260whp@14 PSI 91 octane in the video, and I ran 18 psi on 93 octane back when I was living in FL. That was probably a solid 290-300 whp. The car runs perfect. I had plans to make it into a 400 whp toy, and it wasn't far from that, but I decided to sell it because I needed the money.
Hey bro are you on a rom tune? Did you upgrade your fuel system? what power levels are you hitting at 14psi?
Undecided on ct20b or td06 :l

Oh btw, is that a MRS wheel? Or what, if I got a MR2 I would want the exact wheel, the stock airbag wheel is nasty

How tall are you? Seems over 6'... Do ppl around 6'3-6'4 fit well in a mr2?

What song is that you have playing there? i want it!

It's called "If love so nice" by junior Kelly. You're in Norcal right? I don't have my MR2 anymore but I still would go to some of the meets.
