  • Wow first time i heard this song,it is really nice to hear . I heard Dermot and Fergus playing live at O,Riellys just before he died,I was really lucky to have had the chance to hear them...Thanks for posting this...Merry Christmas.

  • I REALLY DO LOVE THIS SONG. CHRISTMAS FOR SURE. BRINGS BACK MEMORIES FROM CHRISTMAS/WINTERS PAST.(BACK IN THE DAY WHEN WE HAD WINTERS..LOL). THAT WAS OVER 35 YEARS AGO NOW. TO BAD THEY DO NOT WRITE SONGS LIKE THIS ANYMORE. SONGS WITH HEART AND MEANING. A SONG YOU CAN RELATE TO.HE WAS ONE OF THE BEST WRITERS AND SINGERS OUT THERE. HE WILL BE AND IS SADLY MISSED. REST IN PEACE MR.O'REILLY.

  • This song was sang for Fergus' new born nephew. His sister in law, Peggy played it over and over again when we visited her.

  • Jesus!!! I love this song - It truly brings back memories of Christmas's past

  • It reminds me of christmas when I was a kid. It brings me back 30 years or so of great memories. Sliding, snowball fights, people visiting each other. It was awesome being a kid.

  • Wow this is a Beautiful Song, I like to listen to this song, I'll Be, and Clair de Lune at night time. they help me get to sleep I find them very soothing.

  • i remember well when he came to our school to sing when i was young

  • Both the Celtic Connection and the Irish Descendants did covers of this song, and while both are awesome renditions, nothing beats the original version.

  • ahhhh I really miss Derm. He was the best ever. And one of the nicest men you will ever meet. Dermot actually helped me pick the name for my three and an half year old daugther, Shannon. I miss our little conversation at Erin's. God bless him for he has blessed us all with his wounderful talent and soul.

  • what a beauty! no one does it better

  • Thank you for posting this. Dermot was a wonderfully creative and inspiring man to many. I was singing along this song, which I used to call "the snowman song," long before I knew anything about him.

Thanks to Erin's Pub, I have learned much about his talents and wonderful kind soul.

  • A wonderful song. I'll be taking this one out and practicing it as we near Christmas. Thanks!
