Madonna is accomplished, relevant, fun, controversial, pure entertainment in the basic sense of the word. Just look at this video from live 8 and watch the reaction of the crowd in London. Nobody except maybe U2 had people jumping up and down...this way. Watch her show, she's a total professional, and the video is evidence of how much people enjoy her and her music.

Ray of Light is Madonna's greatest song, because of the double character: spiritual and dance. It is also her best album, most beautiful voice, most beautiful songs, songs with a spiritual aspect. I think madonna should do more of the spiritual thing, the thing she really is into. Songs like 4 minutes and celebration are just to satisfy the public, not showing anything personal anymore.
