As much as I like Jet, let me just say that this is a horrible cover, they don't have any of the energy or presence that Rose Tattoo had when they played this song. Don't get me wrong..... Jet's a kickass band, but they can't touch the 'Tatts.

"We could rule the streets!" say Jet, obviously referring to a map indicating the path taken by the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. The Rose Tattoo original is the majesterial King Kong to this version's Clyde the Orangutang. The Soup Nazi says No Soup for You, Jet tweens.
ok Rose Tattoo that's great that's cool beautiful and they have the chance to be a mythic band, but I think you need to see other songs by JET it's not a Hard Rock Band just a cool band and for me the best they make music not big sounds with some shouts... listen their own songs you'll understand, they don't have to envy any rock 'n' roll band their lirycs are good and their music too... kiss somebody for me

Gibson guitars, especially on the rhythm side, are truly the best. Fender Strats are excellent guitars, and are wonderful for more blues based rock. But the in your face kings are The Les Paul and The SG...in my opinion the greatest guitar ever made...even though the necks crack like eggs on Easter Sunday.
Fender Strat is my favourite electric guitar for sure but gibson does have better acoustic guitars. Maton are pretty awesome for acoustic guitars too.
I own a few guitars including a beautiful Fender Strat. Never play it though as I sweep in an arc when playing chords instead of 'sawing wood'. The 5 position selector switch on the strat cops it every time. I play a Les Paul, a Fender 72 Custom re-issue (which I call mty 'TelePaul' because of the Les paul style pickups and controls on a Tele body, a custom made Belman Albatross Grande, as ell as an Ibanez Jet King. Great guitars all and the switch arrangements suits.
Most awesome rock bands use Gibsons which is awesome because I love Gibson guitars but I think Fender is better. The only reason I wrote this comment is because Nic Cester's guitar is a Gibson.
so cool to see Jet pay attention to their roots. I keep thinking they should cover a couple different Stones tunes but if'n they want to keep with their Aussie spirit, rock on! I hope they come out with another record soon
Jet are one of the few Aussie rock bands to make it big ...Ac/Dc need no introduction but after that .....The Church ...Midnight Oil ....Rose Tattoo ...so for me its great Jet are paying homage some home grown hero's
