  • More outer-fringe geek losers in attendance than you could shake a plastic light saber at.

  • a very underrated actor

  • thanks so much, so raw, so real,, great!

  • Terrific appearance! Normally I don't go in for Cons. This video is 39 minutes long. How do you post a video longerthan 10 minutes?

  • @richardwha Hi Rich - it was because I was an early YouTuber who was invited into their 'partner program' -- I think those who are made a 'partner' get the time limit removed. Wow, I wish I had a monopod -- I know the camera shake sucks; I still don't believe I held up the camera that long -- it was difficult! Glad you enjoyed the footage.

  • he was gay....

  • @darrylhaynes oh shut up will you , you dick

  • @SuperPatrick777 fag lover

  • @darrylhaynes piss of wil you , he was married

  • bull shit...he was a fag...you ass hole

  • @darrylhaynes don't talk like a plonker have the day off .

  • My tribute to a CONSUMMATE actor. BRAVO!!!!

  • He seems to have been a magnificent person to know.

He will live on through all the wonderful tv and animated roles he player.

Many thanks for uploading and sharing!

  • For someone born and raised in the Bronx he has a remarkably eloquent English accent.

I used to think he was English, but he isnt. He's as American as they come just a fantastic master of mimickery and accent.

He invented the "special guest star" credit!

  • @rushkagon Jonathan Harris was born Jonathan Charasuschin in New York City of Russian/Jewish immigrants. He learned to speak with the British style accent (he said it was more of a Polish accent) while watching movies because he had a thick New York accent and said "Dese" and "Dose" instead of "These" and "Those". He is a great actor who is missed. I bet the day he came to the Pearly Gates, Jonathan probably said to St. Peter, "NEVER FEAR, SMITH IS HERE".

  • RIP Johnathan Harris aka Doctor Smith

and Bob May aka man inside The Robot B-9

I never had a chance to meet either actor, but I did meet Mark Goddard aka Don West and Angela Cartwright aka Penny Robinson at a sci-fi con in early 1998; they were meeting fans and promoting the LiS Movie - both were very nice and even signed some autographs!

  • My favorite phrase: YOU MENIACAL BOOBY!!!! Jonathan was a very nice guy when he flew us from JFK to LAX.

    Lost in Space lives!

  • He pasted away 10 days before the convention I was going to meet him at. He was always my favorite.

  • Mark Goddard was always great on Lost

In Space also, especially when paired

    with Jonathan Harris.

  • I met him several times at Chiller Theatre and he was such a fun guy to be around.

Amazing that he survived nearly 40 years after LIS to bring fun to all of his fans. I count myself lucky to have gotten to meet him so many times.

One of the pics he autographed for me had him and Billy Mumy in their flight suits-Billy was smiling and Mr. Harris had his "up to no good" look on his face.

He signed it "To Shawn, you Neanderthal Ninny." My prized treasure, that one, lol

  • I met him once at a convention he was eating a tuna sub, was surreal

  • Oh, how I loved to hate the nefarous Dr. Smith when I was a kid.

    Rest in peace, kind sir

  • YOU Bubble Headed Booby, lead the way... Johnathan was the greatest , I loved the Episode with Mercedes McCambridge - what a match ,she was as Butch as he was Nelly....Shhhhhhh

  • LOL i loved that story. GREAT!!!

  • Dr Smith was the most interesting and the only multi-dimensional character on the show. Growing up I watched LIS over and over. If it was on the tv, I'd watch it. Smith was my favorite character.

  • @PsychProfessor I agree with you 100% I love Dr Smith!

  • HOW DARE YOU!!!

    HAHAHA :D

dr smith was one of the greatest characters!!

  • We have people like this in the UK too - but we don't let tham vote. :o)

  • This was a great show!! And Harris's performance was hilarious from day one til the end. A great, undervalued performer, this show is classic camp!!! Never missed an episode.

  • thanks for posting this my friend-under difficult circumstances and the background noise and those popping heads ,that have no respect to jonathon harris or what he is saying--how is it you have 39 minutes on your vid as only 10 is allowed???--thanks ever so much for this rare treat

  • I know, great vid but its bad those bobbing heads have no respect for the late great Jonathan Harris. Thanks for posting!

  • LIS Fan

Remembering Mr. Harris was also the voice of Lucifier a cylon side kick of baltar's in the original Battlestar. Baltar must have been a close relative of Dr. Smith...heh

  • I met Mister Jonathan Harris at a convention in Atlanta, Georgia in 1987. I enjoyed a glass of wine with him. He was a most gracious and distinguished gentleman.

    What a guy!

  • Wow!How i envy you.

  • Hard to separate the man from the character he played . Always loved the way he placed the kids [Penny and Will] in front of him whenever "danger" was present.

  • This man is my hero. I'm so sad that I never got to meet him.

  • Me too

  • J Harris was very talented. I met him In Cleveland early 2001.

  • He wae great and kind of nutty when I met him at the Boston convention back in the 90s.

I took his picture and he gave me the middle finger!

  • This is just great. I really enjoyed the work of Jonathan Harris. He made Lost in Space. Thank you for posting this.

  • Jonathan Harris reminded me of actor Clifton Webb on Zoloft. ;) Really, I think he was way underrated because of being associated with Lost In Space (which I loved, personally), because he was one of the funniest, unique voiced actors and line deliverers in pop TV history, IMHO.

  • Thanks for this video! george-Athens

  • Thanks a bunch for posting, Jonathan was a terrific actor who is now sadly missed.

  • Cool!!!!!... Thanks for post it!!!!!!

  • This is so wonderful to see! Thank you so much -- I was crushed when Jonathan passed away. Long live Zachary Smith :D

  • io couldent comprehend the audio at 27:33 (give or take) what did he say his favorite episode was?

  • He said "The Cave of the Wizards" Episode #51, first broadcast 2/22/1967

  • Very nice...thanks for posting that, it made my day....

  • Suprisingly, I have never seen him in any other shows other than Lost In Space.

  • He made appearances on a lot of TV shows. Two that immediately come to mind are Twilight Zone and...believe it or not...Sanford and Son. He was a very versatile actor...and unique. I can't think of another actor he reminds me of.

  • Wow, interesting. I used to watch sanford and son all the time. another favorite show of mine growing up. I may have to get a hold of some old episodes and see if I can find him. That's neat.

  • Wow! I love these retrospective videos! Great music at the end of the video.
