  • 2 stroke carburetted engine. supposedly its simple.

i dislike the idea of making it more complicated.

new technology like that is what i do not like.

i have 576 XP, but not auto tune. i prefer that, it is still simple like any other saw.

and thats what i need on the field.

  • lol @ the soundtrack to this chainsaw video.

  • @RickciD way better. still expensive for me though. we got a huqvarna saw back in the 90's for 400 bucks. well my dad did

  • no adjustment?,,, junk. all engines need adjustment. not today, but it WILL tomorrow. an i have a husky.

  • @colbycous01 There isn't anywhere to adjust it. Remember those old cars with hand worked chokes? All cars are automatic-choke today.

  • @gr0ver135 not all, my 80 ford truck is a manual choke. new cars are contantly adjusted by the computer. how does an auto adjust work? it says auto tune,,, not auto choke. all engines will at some point need to be adjusted my make them run right. how does this system work?

  • @colbycous01 It has an electronic / ceramic hybrid sensor inside the case which detects the air pressure. The output is used to control an analogue voltage which is the constant adjustment for the carb mixture. I think the video shows this hybrid unit. It's black and slim like an MP3 Player.

If the unit fails it can be replaces easily, because it is accessible through the quick-remove cover. My friend lent me his Stihl 60, and when I tried to adjust the idle screw it snapped off in the carb.

  • @gr0ver135 very interesting. this must be what the future looks like. that explains my comment. so it does get adjusted, just by the computer, as newer cars are. i recant my first comment sir. thank you for explaining it to me.

  • @gr0ver135 i dont want nothing ceramic on my saw and the only electricity i want is from my mag to my plug thats a city boyssaw

  • the stihl 440 saw is better all around Perparson, I just hope the husky is lighter cuz the stihl sure isn't very easy to tote if you need it in the tree

  • I wish I lived around trees big/hard enough to buy a saw that nice. Nuttin but skinny pine and skinny aspen up here in the rockies. My husky 445 is almost overkill.

  • If you fly me to New Zealand I'll buy that saw. I'm in Chicago. . . . . . . that song is nice.

  • Glenn Campbell just popped in yesterday. He asked for a discount if he sang a song. The sales guy didn't think to get a pic.

  • Nice saw, got one and I like it.

  • Just bought one , great tuff saw.

    Cheers

    ACE

  • What country are you in?

  • stihl ms441 CQ(auto tune) is far faster than 567xp husq.

  • @PERPARSON Faster, so what? Does it get the same fuel economy? Has it got the same power to weight ratio?

  • PS....... both have 5.7 HP and 6.6 KG

  • very bad !!!!

  • I just picked one up, but have yet to use it, will report back after this weekend...990 $CAN , couldn't talk dealer down any further.

  • Yes, that's the NZ recommended retail Price in Kiwi Dollars. The Kiwi Dollar buys about 55c US.

  • did i really see 2100 dollar price tag???
