The Gettysburg 1863 song suite is my favorite of all time! I listen to this and it sends chills down my spine, especially the third section High Water Mark. Ripper's voice is absolutely perfect for this song trilogy. It captures the necessary emotion and has such passion. I shudder to think of what this would sound like in Barlow's hands. He's a good singer but has nowhere near this amount of passion.

you are right to an extent. But slavery was a very issue and cause for and during the war. Just read any number of the historical documents or letters from many politicians and soldiers during the war. Slavery was at the forefront for many.

and how again did the South win the war? I'm not seeing your logic on that at all. The had to accept almost every single demand by the north and had a complete unconditional surrender. Their economy was in shambles, etc...

@VodkaAce  It was more the fact that they wanted there own nation which they would live free of the norths views on them...slavery was a major factor in the southern nation as a hole and was one of the major reasons for the war but overall if it was not slaves the war would have been started for another resion...the south and the north both had knifes at each other with every difference they had..southern freedom was the factor for war
