  • PUTA! @3:51

  • so sad not a fuck was given that day i hate Florida

  • i don;t get it a crowd like that? i thought this was a joke i thought for a second i was watchin batting practice lol how u have a crowd like that to putting a bid out for albert for 10 years over 250 million? wheres all this money coming from? i'm surprised they still got a team in the league. maybe only cause they got 2 world series bud selig thinks they should stick around.

  • At least 32 people got to see this

  • @teenagemutantandrew give them a little credit . . . its more like 36, 37 LOL

  • average baseball game: 3 hours of sleep interrupted by .001 homerun

  • wow look @ arod then look at ken griffey... tells you a lot about their egos

  • this video makes me sad. it should've been in a sold out stadium with a 10 minute long celberation

  • the 600 people there were going crazy

  • Griffey is my second favorite player of all time.

  • i was there grifs my fav player i cant believe i got to see him do that live

  • awesome vid

  • u can actually count how many ppl were there

  • The sad thing about this was that it had to happen in the least populated stadium in MLB

  • Lol this sounds like a little league game bcuz barely like any noise jk jk

  • Sammy Sosa had a sold out crowd every game he had before his 600th HR. Griffey, who is leagues better and did it all without steroids, hit his 600th HR in front of the worst MLB fanbase in baseball. Pathetic, Griffey deserved so much better.

  • @spetzzx At least he wasn't under as much pressure.

  • @spetzzx It sucks that I'm in New York but I would of killed to go see the marlins play in the that stadium people in florida have no idea what they were missing.

  • @spetzzx thats miami for you..

  • wait! Ken Griffey jr is white..???

  • 3:07 steal home! thats the manager of the Reds yelling at the guy on the 3rd.

  • Comment removed

  • At first I saw the guy in the batters box and thought "WAIT... Ken Griffey Jr. is not white"

  • Haha marlins fans suck

  • Is it funny how that guy stole 2 bases, for basically no reason? lol

  • @Nirvana88100 how could you predict if someone is going to hit a homer or not? god stupid people these days

  • @MsJx56 actually you'll never predict if someone is going to hit a hommer befor he gets to the batting cage, but you can predict that it's going to be a home run just seeing the swing he did when he hit's the ball, but its not 100% acurate, still the swing defines almost al home runs

  • @Nirvana88100 You clearly know nothing of baseball. He stole to advance to scoring position. Whether or not Griffey knocked a HR, he still gets a stat record for 2 stolen bases added to his career. Idiot.

  • i think i heard the cork?!

  • @borlaug07 Your an idiot

  • Yea let's all wait 1 hr to watch him hit this home run. It's called editing asshole.

  • Junior is the greatest. He is a good man, a family man, and fantastic player.

  • At first i thought this was a video game. lol

  • PUTA!

  • Barry Bonds is a d-bag. Griffey was the best of his generation.

  • @tcdahn7 Barry was a douche, but even pre-steroids Barry was still the best, Power, speed, average, defense, he won 3 mvps before he was 30.

  • in Miami, and they love baseball. The new park should help considerably though.

  • I love the kid, 3rd favorite player behind Josh Hamilton and Michael Young. Not sure why the Marlins' fan base is so crappy. There's a huge Cuban/Latin American influence a

  • @LonghornTX1012 i'm from florida. for some reason the people from the rest of florida have always hated the marlins. i grew up in jacksonville and lived in tallahassee also. we're huge braves fans.

  • go to 2:50 or 3:33

  • lmao "steal home"

  • i would like 2 say that i am 1 of the few loyal marlin fans! i get season tickets and follow everything they do. unfortunatley our fan base sucks and that is considered a lot of people for a marlins game. i had just went to the marlins vs. phillies game and there were only about 12000 people there 2 see mike stantons monster walkoff ):

but i will always be loyal to the fish! and we need some more fans so...kmon people come and chher on the fish help them win theyre 3rd chanpionship!!!!

  • I see brandon phillops

  • speedster

  • A little leage crowd at a major league game.

  • @MrJesusnuts fuck you.

  • out of all the florida marlins games ive seen ive never seen a full crowd there

  • with out all the injuries ken griffey jr. would have shattered the hr record.

  • You Know That Jay Bruce Is Up To Start This Video?

  • hear the roar of the fan

  • i think i see one person on the upper deck when he hits it

  • that upper deck was going crazy.

  • i hear they give away seats to marlins games

  • if he didnt get hurt so much he'd have the homerun record.

  • @ Shove it Dorfus. You don't want a fight with me, you'll fucking die in a secluded dark hole with your thumb in your mouth crying.

  • griffey did it drug free !!!!!!!!!

  • if ken grifffy jr hadnt got injured (he missed about 3 full seasons total b/c of injury) he would be argubly one of the best players if not THE BEST.

  • are you legal in this country?

  • it would have been hilarious if he hit it so far up where there were no fans. love griffey

  • Not a good guy. Spoiled, Arrogant, Self-important and full of shit. Also think he was juicing for more than a couple of years..... I think he and Bonds are running neck and neck for Douchebag of the Year.. Clemens is working hard to get in there as wel

  • 0:16 Double play!! Shows how much Reds fans love them!

  • @LLG47 You do realize the game is in Florida right ? Moron

  • @LLG47 haha lol

  • 0:16 Double play!!

  • At least he hit it in front of a sell out crowd

  • The seats are EMPTY!

  • Seats are EMPTY!

  • Where was all the media coverage for Griffey's 600th?

  • LOL ive always love jr. i got his rookies, all his homerun cards, and i got 10 homerun autographed balls from him,

but anyways..aint the reds getting a new stadium?

  • @GeorgiaBoii32 Great American Ballpark is only like 7 years old, one of the nicest parks in baseball.

  • @oDayton lol....i def wouldnt say its one of the nicest parks..bc i think that park is shit i mean look at

  • @GeorgiaBoii32 The park in the video isn't Great American Ballpark. Great American Ballpark is a gorgeous stadium. I've been there at least 500 times.

  • @oDayton yeah i didnt think this was it..this one is the marlin stadium right?

  • @GeorgiaBoii32 Yeah, I think so.

  • he did it on fathers day i thought was awesome

  • if only he had hit it in Seattle

  • Wow place is empty is this the minors

  • wow in miami, my hometown..

  • Its sort of a microcosm of Ken Griffey's career to hit one of his most important home runs of his career at a measly stadium. He's fallen back door to Mcgwire/Sosa, steroids, a labor strike, and not to mention the numerous injuries he's gone through. He's never gotten the respect he deserves since the early 90's. And most importantly he's never been able to win a ring. Such a humble hard-working athlete... One of a kind. GOAT if you ask me

  • you could have sex in that stadium and no one would know

  • i wonder what lucky seat kept that ball

  • pitchers get hurt when hit by him. the would explode if he used a metal bat

  • There are more fans at my son's Pony League game. No baseball fans in Florida - shame.

  • Hard to believe that Marlins franchise won the 1997 and 2003 titles. Congrats to Junior but I wished he could have hit it at Safeco.

  • It's nice that 17 people got to see him do this.

  • @jmg999 part of the reason theres so little people is they use miama dolhpins stadium.. florida marlins do.. so theres alot more seats

  • @jmg999 hahahahaha amazingly true

  • @jmg999 You are right dude. The ballpark is deserted!

  • @jmg999 Any why are they getting a new ball parkt?????!!

  • theres an asshole at every game you go to smh

  • This should have been for the Mariners! That is why he got hurt, stopped hitting tons of home runs and never got a ring! It is the Junior curse! But at least he came back to the M's for his last season and did the right thing!

  • to bad there were only like 12 people there lol

  • @GoDux925 LOL The seats are DRY. More red than anything. SHAME

  • more people liked this video then went to the game

  • lol wtf are they playing at a little league game? where the hell are all the people?

  • @masonsred its the marlins THEY HAVE NO FANS

  • more people have viewed this video than people that were at the game. many more

  • just embaressing that this is all the fans that show up to watch one of the greatest of all time reach a milestone that few have.

  • does that count as stealing home ?

  • wow. I really dont watch baseball, but griffy was one of my favorite athletes growing up, prettiest swing in history. But even this historic event was hard to sit through. Baseball is soooo godamn boring. Never understood how people could endure and entire game. No wonder the sport is down in popularity something like 40%. how bout some shot girls or something damn!

  • good lord, even Class-A ball draws bigger crowds than this

sad Griffey had to hit 600 in Ghost Town, Florida

  • I bow down to you Ken if you were clean, you are great dude

  • theres no one there maby 1000 people

  • Another packed house for the Florida Marilins!

  • @cmahoney84 they are in a football stadium which means 35000 more seats... they average about 22-25000 a game

  • wow theres hardly anyone there

  • @vatoslocos321 theyre in a football stadium with 35000 more seats than usual so it looks like that

  • FACT: there is no such thing as a "Marlin's fan"

  • @XzWiLBURzX i live in florida and i agree, its fucking hard to like them

  • If only he was less injury prone....

  • I am a huge Yankee fan and happy to say that Griffey is one of my favorite baseball players and is a true home run hitter that never used steroids he is also 10 times better then aroids, bonds, Sosa. And McGwire. I can't wait till the Yankees get rid of arod what a waste of money

  • @vinyankeesfan96 that's a class thing to say. It's always hard for any fan to think critically about their favorite team's players, so nice job being indiscriminate. Props.

  • congrats Griffey for hitting homeruns and the only one to hit a high amount of them legally. Unlike McGwire, Sosa, Ramirez, Bonds, Canseco, the New York Yankees and so on, Griffey can say yea i can still hit as many homeruns as u fucks and my dick hasnt shrunk

  • Comment removed

  • Why would anybody ever accuse one of the last honest players to play the game of steroids?

I suppose Cal Ripken used roids too, because there's no WAY anyone could have that many games played in a row.

    People are stupid as shit.

  • It's a shame that man never got his ring

  • @boricuabadboy he can buy one!!!!

  • @boricuabadboy true true but he was loved for many other reasons

  • ok i can see where your comin with arods using steroids but the season he used them he only hit 24 hrs then the next season where he was clean hit 56 so yuh make the connection..

  • @andyt2296 the moment u take roids doesnt make u a power hitter, they take time to develop muscle, in the offseason he could lift a lot more than normal and greatly increase muscle mass. its not like u wake up the next morning and hit 500ft bombs

  • All of 15,000 fans got to see it... Nice turn out, Marlins!

  • griffey gone . reds win division soon after

  • @Tecumseh1812 then get a big freaking nohitter thrown at them!!!! SWEEP!!!!!!!

  • @tbroofer won the division though , right numbnuts ?

  • @tbroofer you have numb nuts? better go see a dr. about that!!

be easy im a season ticket holder i can bitch! how about you!!!!! couch boy!!

  • AMAZZING SWING!! .....POWER!

  • hands down.. the best hitter of our time!

  • of course, all of you A-Rod (World Champ) haters would say roids blah blah blah get over yourself, he's still a professional and he was a machine with out the roids so kiss my ass!

  • To bad he retired

  • wow a little bit different celebration than arod or sosa

  • JUlio bautista the obvious steroid user

  • good to see Griffey hit his 600th in front of all 30 of those people...

  • Jr, one of my favorites, clean like Pujols, not A-Rod and Bonds stupid cheater

  • remember when KGJ tried to suicide with drugs because he had too much stress?

  • is brandon phillips on deck?

  • @metalbeaner09 yeah and doesn't he look like Ivan Pudge Rodriguez (Person Who Recorded)

  • JR is the fucking man!

  • its a shame that the crowd was small. i would have loved to see history being made.

  • @arcanesteak Ah si.

  • love it lol im a die hard marlins fan no matter how much people say how nobodys at the games i always sit to where he pulled it lol and on top of that there aint that many teams that are rookie teams like the marlins that beat the yankees for a world series

  • bruce sucks this year :(

  • I love how there are waaaaaay more Reds than Marlins fans at the Marlins own stadium!!!!

  • thanks Ken for all your time in this sport for many years thanks againg due

  • jay bruce is horrible

  • I saw him play when I was about 9 years old. We went on vacation to Cincinatti and he got two homeruns (numbers 543 and 544). That was before I was a baseball FANATIC and I don't remember it. Last year, I saw a Seattle game, hoping he would play, so I coul remember seeing him play, but he didn't play :( Now, he's retired and I can NEVER see him play again :( Well, I still have a rookie card of him. Time to get it signed. I'd be awesome if Ken Griffey Jr. and Ken Griffey Sr. both signed it!

  • couldn't have done it in a shittier stadium

  • @lifeiscubes tell me about it i bet u can hear some from foul pole to foul pole.

  • @lifeiscubes not as shitty at shea stadium was trust me

  • The man who kept baseball in Seattle. Could have 700+ if not for injuries. This is one of the greatest moments in baseball history. It's just to bad that A-Rod will pass him up when he's linked to steroids. (don't put sports teams in Florida!!)

  • He has the greatest swing in baseball history

  • thats really sad no ones there marlins suk

  • @XxATaylor06Xx I live in Cleveland and my favorite teams are the Red Sox and the Giants, but I still love the Marlins! They have Hanley Ramirez, Dan Uggla, Josh Johnson, Jorge Cantu, and Ronny Paulino! They have spent their money EXTREMELY well! Unlike the Yankees, wehre they can spent a couple $100 million and still have A BILLION DOLLARS LEFT (exaggeration)!

  • i saw ken griffey after a mariners game in like 1998 and i remember him being the biggest ass hat to a kid who wanted his sig... still the best tho

  • I wonder if ken griffey farts at the plate?

  • It would have been more memorable if he did it in Seattle.

  • nice to see the least passionate fans in baseball see something magical... so typical

  • Also, need I mention that A-Roid left Seattle in pursuit of more money? Junior is an "individualist to the core", and A-Roid is what? The ultimate team player? He'd just as soon play for the Royals if they had more money.

Anyways, Junior will forever be remembered by Seattle fans. A first-ballot Hall of Famer, no doubt. And to use another old Yankee's term, Safeco Field will always be known now as the House that Griffey built.

  • @factuality1 I thought A-Roid played for Texas?

  • @LegoMyEggoDammit

Ya, but before that he played for Seattle. He left for money. You can hear how Seattle fans feel about that (not very good) every time he steps up to bat in Safeco. Its a unique experience.

  • @spagandtuna

Not good enough for Yanks or Sox? I'm pretty sure they would've wanted Junior on their team. He wouldn't have lasted on a team that "develops a culture around team contributions"? Are A-Roid's homers or RBIs any different then the ones Junior put up? Also you could say same for so many teams that had higher payrolls then the [insert team here] and "didn't do shit". The World Series that the Rays got to that the Yankees WEREN'T in? With the league-lowest payroll?

  • HOLY COW... LOOK AT ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE IN THE STANDS. THAT PLACE IS JAMMED PACKED !

  • @BUILDINGWITHBULLION lol yea and the sad thing is that most of them are cheering for the reds when they are the away team

  • Griffey will be missed, made baseball interesting.

  • thats really sad theres like no one in the stadium

  • thats really sad there's like no one in the stadium

  • @ spagandtuna 2010 payroll yankees $206,333,389. Cubs $146,859,000. As of January 24, 2008, the yankees have led mlb in payroll for 9 straight seasons. That would be 11 now. Yankees also have the record payroll in 07 at 218.3 million. Like I said b4 "DOUCHE" get ur facts straight instead of just looking like a complete idiot.

  • @xXJohnBlazeXx I was unable to confirm from my original sources so I will concede that the Yankees have had the highest payroll for at least the last 11 seasons. My bad. Now back to Griffey. My main point is and was that your boy was a diva from jump. (I was also hoping psycho A-rod would have taken a flying leap after '04. But somehow he turned it around mentally.) As a Yankee fan who coveted all that I surveyed, I never had any designs on a Griffey contract, and that's why.

  • cya ken griffey jr you will be missed =[

  • Class act all the way. He didn't cadillac it around the bases. By the time the guy hit the field with the camera again, Jr was coming 'round 3rd.

  • Ken retired today. If he is not inducted in the HOF in his first year of elgiblity, I will become a Marniers fan.

  • Just retired :/. Respect from a Dodgers fan. PS LEt's go Lakers!!!

  • grifeey would have 800 at this second he hasnt done shit the last ten years and still has 600 homeruns.

  • BFD This guy, with all of his natural talent, has to be the biggest disappointment for team-oriented fans. An individualist to the core, he would never have lasted on a team that wants to win and develops a culture around team contributions. Not good enough for the Yankees or the Sox.

  • @spagandtuna Yeah, he'd rather play on teams who actually work to win a World Series than teams who buy them (i.e., Yankees, Red Sox). Griffey is the same player who offered up some of his salary to sign better players for his team, and changed the clubhouse atmosphere and culture which made the Mariners a winning team in '09 (after losing 100+ the year before.) And when is the last time you heard Griffey boasting about his o
