I say not insects, but to stop fluid from running out nose/mouth. That starts really soon after death, and there was a diaper stopping leaks from midsection, ya this is gruesom, but it's been done before..

I disagree that it doesn't make sense to duct tape her mouth/nose after death. It may have been done after death in reaction to insects. Sorry to be so gruesome but maybe KC freaked out and did that taping after death.
