My name is Jack Woodward. I've spent the past few years churning out music as fast as possible. Most cats record an album a year and call it a day. They deliberate on the shit that they're going to do before hand and deface the initial inspiration into obliteration. I try to capture it at the moment of conception. I don't question what I'm being told, I just write it down. Check out my music videos to hear the songs I conceived in this fashion.
I love this song, but it is a bit of a headscratcher. Nothing about this one screams "radio" to me, and the video seems a little too arty for mtv. But what do I know?
you all must have trolls slowly drilling out your brains if you think this version sucks because the one by paramore her voice is all choppy and she can't say not even sing the words right for that matter. Oh and the person who mistook the part when they say stuck on you. You are the most ignorant egotistic empty-headed dead beat who doesn't even know good music when it is heard!!!!! Suck on that you idiot...
ey u no wot u leeve paramor alone u no y? cus else ill kik ya ass so ard ul be cryin for days. ey n u no wot failiure dont even av an atractive leed singa so no wonda they wernt sucksessfull cus u no wot theyr rubbish at evryfin cept wipin der bums
I think if Ken, while on tour, played "houses" the older failure song that you hear on Golden, the crowds would go wild, even wilder than playing stuck on you live.
I'm sure it was. I just think "houses" was a classic, ken's screaching guitar and the fretless bass created a mood they somehow lost over the years. You're very lucky though! I only seen them on youtube.
From their best and last album, Fantastic Planet. This version is akin to a radio edit, for those who are wondering where the rest of the song is. Still, this shortened version is better than most of the recent dreck filling the radio today.
I'm finding that the entire first verse of the song is cut out in this video. Check some of the live Failure performances on YouTube. The vids with Paramore's cover also have the fist verse. Then again, in order to save rotation time songs are often chopped down. Doesn't hurt the song, but it would grate a purist's nerves.
Oh sorry, I didn't mean to insinuate that you did it. In order to cut down on video costs it's common for chunks of songs to get cut out for airplay on MTV or any other station. For example, a large chunk of a solo section is cut out of several Dream Theater's Take the Time. Sorry to be misleading. :S
@EvanLouKy This is the "video" version edited for MTV and such. The poster didn't have to edit it, as the studio did upon it's release. I remember many a terse letter (by myself and others) pointing out what you noticed to MTV only to be told "Hey bub, it ain't our fault, that is the way the studio cut the video."
On the Golden DVD they say that most of this video was shot with people on trampolines...which is pretty apparent. Greg kept pointing out the people who were jumping really high...lol
F A N T A S T I C P L A N E T!!!! Nevermind wishes it was Fantastic Planet. An incredibly creative, sonically adventurous album, filled with heart and soul, and it ROCKS!!!! I've recommended it to all my musically decerning peeps, and they've thanked me profusely. Thank you, Ladyredcrest!! YOU rock.
I am glad that you like them. Where NIN is my favorite band (with ENEMY coming a very close second), Failure will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for the comment.
The best song ever by Failure. I remember turning a friend on to them with just this song alone. Great video too. All the similarities to the openings of James Bond movies really was classy to me. Totally great sounds.
well the video i was looking for was out in the 90's. it was on mtv only a few times and it had this weird animated style to it its hard to describe and the only lyrics i can remember are its a long way down. it was a slow kinda folky sounding song that was mostly acoustic guitar with i believe some orchestral strings in the background. now im trying to find a place i can download that Failure song for free too i may end up just having to buy it somewhere.
mad props for posting this video . i saw them once live on a show and have been trying to find this song for years now and all i could remember was stuck on you and that their video had a james bond look to it. thanks again for posting this now i have one more song left im trying to find.
glad i could be of service. send me a message. what else are you looking for. i have some others that i am going to post eventually when i get a better internet connection.
wish there was a hd version of video as to to see its vivid colors and shadow/sillouttes. its as awesome as the tune.

I think if Bieber sung this he would probably curl up in the corner after singing it and die, then dry up like a raisin and blow away.
