  • its like the acient version of midnight

  • Best Hartnell episode ever.

  • Maybe I just missed something, but was anybody else waiting for some more explanation other than "the button was stuck?" Why did Ian try to choke the Doctor? Why was Susan going crazy with the scissors? I was expecting an alien to have been possessing them or something...

  • @actressmusic The time vortex manipulator created a resonance feedback loop in the fabric of space time, directly interfering with the synapses of the mind, much like the anthropoids on Traxton 5.

  • @Leuopold Thanks! That makes sense. (You know you've seen too much Doctor Who when an answer like that makes sense... Oh well. I love the show too much to stop! haha)

  • @actressmusic Terrific!, I was just going to say imagine Italy, or a shoe. No wait, forget Italy. Just use the wibbley lever.

  • @Leuopold The wibbley lever indeed! Fantastic! haha

  • Is it just me or does this remind anyone else of the original Star Trek episode Naked Time?

  • i love how everyone keeps calling Ian "young man"... he's wearing a cardigan and suit pants, he clearly is not that much of a young man ; )

  • omg susan drives me madd

  • dr who is the best show ever

  • The ship can't crash it's impossible! Watch the Eleventh Hour Suzan. LOL

  • Thank you so much for uploading! :D

  • I would rather not watch doctor who with that "MasterGalifrey" watermark in the corner, please.

  • This serial saved the show :)

Due to the high cost of producing The Daleks, as well as having to repeat the first episode of An Unearthly Child, the BBC decided to cut Doctor Who's run to 13 episodes, which would have made this the last serial. No Tom Baker, no Cybermen, bye-bye Karen Gillan's police outfit. But this one was so cheap to produce, that, combined with the popularity of the Daleks, it was enough to convince the BBC to allow the show to continue. :)

  • Thank you so much! Love these old episodes!

  • Also... ship can't crash, it's impossible! Well, it certainly crashes a lot later on.

  • so... when he felt the doctor's heartbeat, he didn't notice there were two hearts?

  • @RedheadedRapunzel Not so, he was checking the Doctor's pulse on the he was gonna expect it, therfore he must have just missed it.

  • @RedheadedRapunzel it was not said into the Third Doctor that he had two hearts. In a episode with the Second Doctor you can see his ex ray-one heart.

  • The funniest thing Hartnell has ever done at 0:35 .... lol!

  • I love this series so far... But Susan's constant screaming is really starting to get on my nerves -_-

  • 8:15 Ian cops a feel.

Don't worry, Susan's actress was in her twenties.

  • incidental music sounds like delia derbyshire...classic sci-fi eeriness

  • Thanks for uploading, I was looking for this story in particular. It's creepy, and Susan is pretty scary in this! The scissors and what not... It's like The Shinning.

  • Now what did that Barcolounger ever do to her?

  • the good old classic tardis

  • Thank You so much for uploading. <3<3<3
