Okay, i have a name for the monsters that designed those buildings: Architects horribilis. Is the game seriously trying to convince me they had skyscrapers way back when? If they did then why was the Empire State building such a big deal? They could have put the view points on natural formations like hills/mountains or something. Buildings that are 60 stories tall just feel contrived.

Some of the viewpoints may be aggrandized a bit, but lofty structures have existed for millennia. The bell tower of the Duomo Cathedral in Florence (the domed church seen in this tutorial) is 280 ft. high. Cologne Cathedral towers at 516ft! They aren't the sterile, steel and glass rectangles that we call "skyscrapers", but I think the height the game gives it is fairly accurate.

Just what do you think the beautiful worlds of antiquity looked like? Horse dung huts with straw roofs?

@Samurai8989 Nah, i'm just saying what they would have considered a tall building back then would generally not be as tall as they seem to be in the game. For comparison, the Duomo Cathedral is 280ft, and the world trade centres were over a thousand ft tall. The structures in the game look like they're around 400-500ft, which is much too tall to convince me. But, I suppose that's the aggrandisation you're referring to. It's just kinda odd when they're *all* like that.
