@actress220 i have heard many many many rumors that the people mover will be coming back not the original but a newer version that will make it seem more exciting and make the kids of today love to go on it... i have heard it will be a spinning ride so you can spin it or not... riders choice
Bring back the People Mover or Rocket Rods! That tracks been empty for 10 years now & needs something on it! I hear they might open a Tron ride on it, but that's just a rumor. Tomorrowland hasn't been as good since the Rocket Rods closed. Rocket Rods was my favorite ride & I only got to go on it once.
@rnorred86 They can't bring Rocket Rods back because the track is not meant for high speeds and it wore it out. The tracks aren't banked which would cause the tries to wear out. I don't want Rocket Rods back. I want them to rebuild that whole track with a layout similar to the TTA at Disney World and make it a copy of the TTA from Disney World.
@Benstudio13 WDW in Floriday stills has the people mover still in running operation allong with the asteroid oribiter on their roff top of the station, and every thing there are still like in hay day.
@sideslide23 I know, but since it's a different state OSHA has different regulations. At Califorina it's still possible to put the Astro Orbiter on a platform - but the tracks for the PM aren't up to date and it would call for a massive rebuild (I'm guessing $100,000 to do) throughout all of Tomorrowland and having to temporarily close down rides so they could do it.
@sideslide23 Not Circle Vision - the Carousel Theater. Where the Carousel of Progress and America Sings used to be. But when this was videotaped it was being used for offices and storages.
I'm so glad that WDW still has the People Mover. Proof that not every attraction has to be a thrill ride to be enjoyable.

@sideslide23 I guess not now. My Cast Member/Imagineer friend told me they are going to demolish the track and not rebuild it to OSHA's standards. :(
