That's funny you guys say the 90s was a great time lol. I always thought the 80's rocked. That's when toys were actually amazing and the cartoons were also just as rockin'. They went downhill in the 90s and further down in early 2000. Now toys are just completely lame and very poor quality. Economy changes and no motivation or passion anymore.

They just don't do commercials like this anymore. I'm 31 yrs old, never married, no kids, live alone, and I still get nervous around pretty girls. My toys have just gotten more expensive, boats, cars, airplanes, motorcycles, guns.... The best part of being 31 is people take me seriously but I can afford to buy the toys I didn't get when I was a boy.

I definitely remember when the newer (hipper) Toys R Us theme was introduced in 1990, when I was a kid. They sure tried to make it cool with the "Hip Hop" beat and guitar stabs, haha.

Around the time these commercials were popular Operation Desert Storm was going on, so I made up "I don't want to grow up, or I'll be in the war. There are a million ways that I could get killed that are in store. From tanks to planes to Saddam Hussein, what are we fighting for? I don't want to grow up because if I did I'd have to be in the Gulf War!

I grew up in a small town so wal-mart, or k-mart was as close to a toy store as I useally got. On those rare occasions I made it to a Toys-r-us, it was like going to kid heaven.

@DRANZERGT - I get teary-eyed over Toys R Us commercials for some reason, the second ad on this video and the one with the kids singing from the early 1980s always do it for me, as well as the one from 1999 with the idea of Toys R Us being where kids go when they dream. I'm actually typing this with tears in my eyes, I just love these ads. :-)
