  • Why open the canopy?

  • Why am I missing so many cockpit sounds with this?

  • my prop has snapped how fix

  • Is the electricity always on?

  • Its the best spitfire ever, if not the best single engined aircraft for the PC to date. I like this vid but it'll make a world of difference if you used track IR, and went about it a little slower to make it easier for those not used to it to understand what is actually being simulated. Good Job.

  • @RASVW Yea I agree, its got all those nice little effects you only usually see in a dedicated spitfire game, well worth your bucks.

  • Great video! Looks like a good version of the spit too.

  • Nice video, do you have any tips on Navigating in this thing? I would like to fly it on Vatsim and need to know where I am :P

  • Great video. Thank you!

  • Superb video, helped me a lot. Good job.

  • Great vid, I love this addon from A2A but the radiator temp has given me a few problems esp on the parking taxi and I wonder if the real Spit is that quick to boil.

I'll give your tips a go and see if I cant do a bit less damage. :)

  • And you sound like Bill Belichick , the football coach.

  • Great video and great aircraft! =D

  • Nice job, I was on the fence about this sim ( not a big spit fan ) but I think you sold me on it

  • Sorry 'bout the duplicate.

A2A Spitfire with Accusim is about the most awesome thing ...short from a real Spitfire of course.

I can't wait for their Spitfire Mark V update... and if they'll also make Seafires (even the early ones which were just fieldmodded Mark II and V Spitfires with added hook, i.e no folding wings or other carrier equipment, just the bare minimum to make landings on a short deck possible).

  • I also tend to take-off a bit more aggressively. Not full rpm, but trimming it to 2600rpm + 6 psi on runway instead of 3000rpm + 3 psi (the engine can take 12 psi at 3000 rpm after all).

It's also easier to get stable rpm even on a more hurried take of with 1/2...2/3 on the rpm lever before applying throttle. It'd prevent rpm overshoot over the redline, even with more rapid throttle movement. Then pushing rpm lever all the way up before rpm starts to drop. No overshoot that way.

  • You forgot to turn off the landing gear indicator light. As the Spitfire has not battery switch, forgetting that light on for a couple of days is a good way to drain the battery of it's power. :)

But, anyway, a nice tutorial and a beatiful landing in particular. I tend to land with lower rpm if the weather and runway length permits it. Makes it easier to prevent plug fouling with lower rpm, at the same time avoiding acceleration. It's safer with high rpm, though, in case of wave off.

  • cool vid dude, your very knowledgeable about aircraft!

  • Nice video, I have this plane so this is very helpful, thanks.

  • what airport is this?

  • @theREALpianoman0615 I think I was at TAPA

  • Nice job
