  • lol the 'oh!' at @5:03 make me laugh everytime

  • Clueless right-winger american

  • Its so frustrating hear people like her argue with no willingness to change.

  • You can't outsmart Matt, he's been there, done that! :)

  • damn its good to be an athiest.

even if I did believe in a god, I wouldnt want to be associated with fucking stupid shits like that bitch.

  • This dudes a genious christians get soo mad!

  • "...a supernatural god..." That word - supernatural - evokes thoughts of ghosts, goblins, trolls, leprechauns, hocus pocus, abracadabra, magic fairy dust, and all sorts of other childish myths and fantasies. I find it astonishing that the minds of many grown adults can still cling to beliefs in myths and fantasies. Granted, I've never been there myself since I was raised in a secular family and never experienced anything like religious indoctrination, but I still find it astonishing.

  • Psalm 14:1

  • did she really say "logical guys" condemningly?

  • @Brungysalt hahahah yeah i was shocked too

  • I just literally screamed in anger at my laptop...

  • Christians need to get it through their thick skull that telling people they're going to hell is unacceptably RUDE! I don't care if you guys think this is the truth, don't tell it to me! If I worship a religion where I think White is superior over Black, and I go tell the black people that?

  • "god sacrificed himself for himself to get rid of the sin that he created" XD

  • You have too admit: Even if you agree with what this guy is saying (which I do) he isn't being that respectful.

  • @slowbar1 He's done this every sunday for years. I'd get tired of it too.

  • I think these people get so angry because they are basing their whole outlook on life on blind faith. That they have no knowledge of whether it's true or not must be a huge burden to take on.Could drive some folk a bit crazy maybe.

  • @ThePurpleHarpoon Religious people get so angry because they KNOW they've got NOTHING to back up their beliefs. It's very frustrating for them to have no evidence to provide. They know it makes them look wacky, that's not OUR fault.

  • Bahaha ... "you logical guys" ...bahaha

  • This woman did not go to a normal school and was locked into the church basement and she only got a meal every day if she was reading the bible all day long.. And her mom+dad did not teach her anything else than what stands in the bible.. It is not her fault she cant think for herself

  • Mindless bitch

  • this lady is crazy.

  • You can't argue with crazy.

  • 4:49 "The moral landscape" by Sam Harris.

  • I kinda agree with her about him putting the callers on hold. The caller doesn't have that ability so it's kinda unfair for him.

  • Yes, we logical guys stick together. Especially the bald ones with facial hair.

  • She didn't listen to anything he said.

  • why do people believe that life has to have a meaning? a sort of after life, a purpose, people have been taught to think this way, people should worry about their life now and stop worrying about what happens when you die. don't worry we will all die and get there, start worrying about what you will do with life now, this is the real meaning not no after life

  • @roger8654 Becuase it's fun to belive in an after life. I would love to belive in one too. I would love if there was dragons, goblins, angels and stuff running around in reality too! :D

  • @warmsteel that whould be epic.

  • @jensbolle True. My logic and intellect don't belive in an after life, but my heart imagine one. I've been writing a fantasy novel for 5 years so I take out my imagination trough that. Thankyou God for inventing imagination! *Pun intended*

  • @roger8654 It'll never happen, but imagine a Xian having a "reverse epiphany" just before they die, and they realize it's ALL horseshit. WHAT would go through their mind?!?

"Oh, the things I WOULD have done! All that money down the drain! All that wasted prayer! Shit... I could have LIVED, and now I'm gonna be dead FOREVER!!!"

  • caller: "I believe in the whole context of the bible"

Matt: You just demonstrated that you don't

caller: umm ah uh *losing argument must insert ad hominum attack*

  • Thers a good reason atheist feel smart xD

  • 16 people have no moral compass :P

  • she just admitted that her moral compass comes from her experience, not god...

    WHAMMY!

  • She is right, we atheist like to argue because we always kick ass.

  • @unico5616 Yes, the way a heavyweight likes to fight lightweights.

  • Comment removed

  • Moral compass.

I don't want them stealing from me or harming me so I don't do that to them.

An it harm none, do as you will.

  • I want to marry this guy he is awesome

  • @lovcat91 Too late, he's married now.

  • I believe in one God the maker of heaven and earth for what is seen and unsseen. -33

  • @myowncomputerstuff "I believe in one God the maker of heaven and earth for what is seen and unsseen. -33"

...and how do you go from that to God is good, that God is the origin of morality, that through Jesus we are redeemed and relieved of our sins?

You still have a long way to go even if people accept that God created everything (I don't accept that premise either and have scientifically derived evidence for dismissing that evidence (see Quantum Physics and Big Bang theory).

  • this sounds EXACTLY like an extended family member of mine. oh my...

  • logic always win but wisdom is indestructible

  • lets say if god is true well the atheist have something to lose but if god is false the still christians dont have something to lose LmFAO

  • @kaleenmar Let's say if the Hindu god is true, then Christians may be roasted in Hindu hell or reincarnate as animals, insects or even bacteria. And if all gods are false, Christians would have wasted their precious lives worshipping an imaginary deity. So if Christian god is false, Christians do have something to lose.

  • @rscape311 lol u really thought worshipping is wasting people lives? i guess not. worshipping isnt just kneeling and crying over gods. it is something like listening and learning values in everyday lives that we learn from this books(koran/bible etc..).. gotta admit im more happier living and learning lessons from this books. whther gods are real or not i have no worries as long as i live in peace and happiness, so thats what u call wasting peoples live huh?LOL.. still ialwayshve faith in god :)

  • @kaleenmar You can learn values in everyday life and be happy without invoking an imaginary deity. There are many pretty nasty stuffs in Koran/Bible also. There are so much you can enjoy and learn in life: science, philosophy, family values, friendships, arts, music. Living your life based on falsehood is wasting it. And why should you have faith in the Judeo-Christian god? Why do you not have faith in the Hindu gods? What is your reason in choosing one over the other? Faith is blind, not virtue

  • Comment removed

  • @kaleenmar No one knows what comes after death but Christians claim to know hell and heaven. You do not need faith to enjoy science, philosophy etc.. Your shadow is evidence for the sun so you do not need faith to know the sun exists. What is the evidence for your god? None, that is why you need faith; that is why it is blind.

  • Trying to talk reason with a christian is like trying to tell a 5 year old there is no Santa!

  • @waterandphotons trying to talk reason to an atheist is trying to convince a shadow that there is a sun..

  • @kaleenmar you do know you need light and dark to make a shadow right? You know how a sun dial works right? A shadow if it were aware of anything would be painfully aware of the sun. Unless that is what you meant... that atheists are painfully aware of reason and tell you about it in excruciating detail ad nauseum ^_^

  • @kaleenmar "trying to talk reason to an atheist is trying to convince a shadow that there is a sun..

    "

What reason do you have for believing that God exists?

  • Well.. she DID say that she didn't believe in Old Testament. And NOW she says that she believes in the whole context.

I'm sorry that she is so brainwashed! I'm so glad to be an ex-Christian!

  • I love this lady!! She got them good :)

  • @Updownaroundtown

    Are you sincere?

  • @BeBoBli Yes I am sincere.

  • @Updownaroundtown

She did not 'get them good'. She most certainly made herself look like an illogical fool. I have a hard time believing that you truly think otherwise unless you watched it with a bias.

  • the real question is what if your wrong about the great bubu on the mountain

  • What do athestits gain? What do they have 2 gain

  • @Totclv Control over the only life we know we have access to.

  • @ddrddrddrddr

A woman gets pregnant with 4 babies. The doctor tells her one baby died. C section and the baby is alive and healthier then her sibblings. True story

A 2 week old baby has a heart attack. He's hooked up to heart/brain montiering machines and he's clearly dead for 30 minutes. Doctors bring mommy and daddy in to say goodbye baby moves. True story.

How can that happen without interviention

  • @Totclv These fringe cases are not any more controlled for those who are religious. For everyone else, they are able to live and pass judgement unto their own actions without a superficial sense of being judge by the supernatural. There is no wasting time to prostrate oneself, there's no illusion of false comfort. You live life just as you would live if you were religious without the burdens of religion.

  • @ddrddrddrddr

Well then maybe u can explain this. When I was sixteen yrs old I had a near death experience and my soul was in heaven for fifteen minutes. There was no brain or heart activity.

By the way I'm not trying to put you down. I'm trying to see where you're coming from. I myself will never be an athest because I have proof of Yahoua but I am trying to understand where you are coming from.

If you yourself were to find proof would u change ur mind?

    I'm Laurie btw

  • @Totclv I need proof that is objective and reproducible to the world. Before watching these videos, I've already had plenty of experience with speaking to people on these subjects. No one have presented proof of anything supernatural.

Personal testament can be powerful, but if you delve into the history of psychology, I'm sure most people would see experiences shared across religions and beliefs.

I can not make oneself believe any more than love. Premise of rewarding faith makes no sense.

  • So only the threat of a supernatural being punishing her is the reason this lady doesn't do bad things? Jesus.

  • The God she knows is a good God? Of course, she created him to be so. He also agrees with all of her thoughts and actions - isn't that amazing?

  • @jcgadfly She didn't create him to be so. He IS so.

  • @Updownaroundtown And you created your God so that his will coincides with what you want to do as well. Every Christian does. He IS what you make him to be.

  • @jcgadfly I did not create God, He created me. And he created me so His will coincides with what he wants ME to do. You have it all mixed up.

  • @Updownaroundtown Proof for his creation of you, please? Funny how his will just happens to agree with what you do (whatever it is for real good or real ill) isn't it? Why is it that when you want to do something and you pray about it God's answer coincides exactly with what you want to do?

  • @jcgadfly How would you know? Do you know what I pray about or something? lol

  • @Updownaroundtown No but I know how I used to pray and other Christians pray now. They pray for healing and then go to the doctor to solve the problem. When the problem is solved they give Jesus the credit. You pray for something you want and then when you go out and get it yourself god gave it to you and it was his will that you have it. Don't make this so easy on me.

  • Oh yeah, where is your proof that God created you?

  • @jcgadfly My whole being is proof that God created me :)

  • @Updownaroundtown I understand now. You have no proof. That or you won't reveal it to me. How very Godlike you are.

  • @jcgadfly Proof is all around you, you just don't want to accept it.

  • @Updownaroundtown Life is proof of life. It's not proof of God. So I ask again - what proof do you have that whatever God you believe in (I assume it's Yahweh of the Bible) created you? Please don't channel Ray Comfort again. His theology is about as useful as a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest.

  • @Updownaroundtown I do good things then claim god has nothing to do with them because I don't want him taking all the credits for my hard work. No matter how many tangible evidence is presented to you, it's like explaining colour to a blind person.

Everyone, stop wasting time with brainwashed idiots, and carry on... go do something productive, like adding more nails to religion's coffin.

  • Sarah Palin must be the caller...

  • She hit the nail on the head when she said, "do you know one person who has NOT done one crummy thing? NO. For we have all sinned and are guitly of sin. We can't fix it by going to someone and saying "I'm sorry" or "here is $100 x-number of dollars for your troubles." Only Jesus can forgive you of your sins and wipe the slate clean. He and he alone!

  • @muddhole777 What nail did she hit exactly? She didn't make any real point there.

  • Answer to why one life is better: It is limited and therefor far more precious than a life of eternal bliss and eventual boredom. (Or eternal agony and eventual tolerance to heat).)

  • I do not get what she wants to point out.

Even if all people in the world would be bad persons if there would be no religion, which would not be the case in my opinion, it does not make any religion more true.

  • As a former Christian, I will say, that it is in fact VERY difficult for a believer to understand Atheism until he/she makes the decision to thoroughly investigate both sides of the argument. Part of the reason that so many callers think that Matt isn't making any sense, is that they haven't been exposed to formal argumentation, and instead fall into the trap of using irrational colloquialisms to base their assertions. It's very difficult to win a game of chess if you don't understand the rules.

  • I love this concept that many Christians use "what do you care if you only have one life and no God exists?" As if being an atheist means no accountability to our families, friends, selves, society. It's such a stupid and foolish argument.

I'm glad we cannot disprove God exists. God keeps dumbasses in line.

  • LOL, poor lady her brain is short circuiting

  • "the god of the old testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction; jealous and proud of it, a petty unjust, unforgiving control freak; a vindictive bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic capriciously malevolent bully. "-Richard Dawkins

  • Do all Christians lack such logic?

  • @lowlvlowns1 majority do unfortunately it gives all of them a bad name, i believe in god however i do not consider myself a "christian" i do not claim what i believe to be ultimately correct but i also do not make my beliefs set in stone, because i know i am not fully correct so why would i denounce any theory that may prove me wrong? in my opinion to ultimately rule something out is crazy because there is no scientific proof that god does or does not exist, i personally choose to think he does

  • @zaph1987 Bible = word of god.

Bible = wrong (In alot of aspects, not necessarily all.)

    Word of god = Wrong

Which is inconsistent with what god is, as he is 'perfect'

The bible only make sense in the time it was written, now that science has evolved it disproves a majority of what 'god' said, or did.

Meaning that an existing god, contradicts science, which we have proof that science is right.

  • @lowlvlowns1 i agree that a large portion of the bible is indeed fabricated, however if you read the bible, torah and qur'an and mix all 3 together it does make more logic, kinda gotta pick and choose what you feel to be correct because these books all have some truths to them but all were written by man so much of them are probably lies...and i hate to say pick and choose for it makes me sound like someone who just picks what i want to hear, but i also choose bad things too

  • @lowlvlowns1 but there are many scientific breakthroughs that completely change what we used to think (therefore all scientific equations are not a definite to me) for example science said the world was flat. people were even killed for questioning this. we now know obviously it is spherical. and some scriptures in these books say things that were ahead of its time, such as the qur'an where it talks about the planets orbit, back then they didnt know what an orbit was. or that an atom has weight

  • @zaph1987 You have your facts mixed up. "Science" didnt say the world was flat, that was just the general belief, and it was actually the belief of people with no education.

In fact Ferdinand Magellan said "The church says the earth is flat, but I know that it is round, for I have seen the shadow on the moon, and I have more faith in a shadow than in the church"

  • @2410Rooster Also, Your statement about people being killed for questioning the earth is also misleading.

is was the church killing people for questioning that it orbited the sun.

The bible was not ahead of science. The bible talk about Jesus looking over the four corners of the earth. Try again.

  • @2410Rooster I never claimed the bible was ahead of science, I claimed that some scriptures that were written were, not the whole thing. However if you need another example where science was wrong, look at Darwins' Theory of Evolution, he thinks we came from 1 celled organisms and over millions of years it ended shaping into an ape, and we evolved from apes...well sure we may have 98% of the same DNA but we also have 99$ of the same DNA as mice, does that mean we came from mice?

  • @zaph1987 Wrong again. Science doesnt say we evolved from apes. We are apes. We share a common ancestor with chimps. You have absolutely no understanding of evolution. You really need to do some PROPER research.

  • @2410Rooster So science has been wrong plenty of times too, for even Darwin himself said before he died that he no longer believed his theories were to be accurate...so why people still believe them is still baffling to me. And I am not saying that the church is right, personally I highly dislike the church and the bible because they try to brainwash people, I however do believe in a god/s because to me and from my experiences it just makes more sense that way than what science has come up with.

  • @zaph1987 About Darwin, thats actually a total lie, so I wont go into that. How does a god/s make more sense than reason, logic and scientific studies?

  • @2410Rooster I would have to disagree that we are apes because show me an ape that doesn't have hands for feet, that would be sweet to have hands as feet lol. And the reason god/s make more sense to me is mainly because I haven't heard anything else that is logical for the universe....I do not believe the whole big bang theory where nothing did nothing to nothing and created something...besides I have personally been on the brink of death where doctors (with their science) said there was

  • @2410Rooster without a doubt that I would not make it, and I just remember falling asleep, having a crazy dream where I was talking to a faceless being and next thing I know I am waking up, and the doctors were completely shocked that I actually lived....I know it could have been just a dream, I know my body could have somehow went into overdrive on it's healing, but it is highly unlikely...

  • @2410Rooster and at that time I did not believe there could possibly be a god, after that I have witnessed some other amazing things that have led me to my beliefs, and I do not believe what most believers believe...I am more of a deist in that aspect because I believe there was nothing but energy at the beginning that molded the universe and from doing so there could have been some molecules that added conciousness to the energy...but I do not believe god watches over us like it is portrayed

  • @2410Rooster I believe it is in another part of the universe doing experiments of sorts and has temporarily taken it's attention away from this planet....therefore there is no more "miracles or magic" that we can do because it is no longer giving us the necessary energy needed to perform these super-human feats.

  • @2410Rooster And I apologize for mistaking Darwins theory, maybe I am remembering some other theory and just mixed it up, so my bad about that lol I feel douchey now hahahaha

  • @2410Rooster And also on the comment you made about we share a common ancestor with chimps...that can not be proven for a 100% fact, therefore i would have to ask you why would you believe something that also cannot be proven to be certain? How come my beliefs that I have no way to prove with a 100% fact (therefore be faith based) differ from the ones you presented about the ancestors we share with chimps that also can not be proven for a 100% fact? Wouldn't yours also be considered faith based?

  • @zaph1987 Because you're making the assumption that "Because you cannot prove, and I cannot prove, therefore we are equally wrong" is absurd. My belief is based off of scientific data and is the most plausible because it doesnt just assume. You have yet to explain how god makes more sense.... But I am gonna log now.

  • @2410Rooster Ok when you want some sort of proof and I fail to deliver, thats perfectly ok yet when I ask for proof and you fail to deliver its absurd? And I did explain you just didn't understand, the doctors had no medical science to explain how I lived when I should have died and if science is wrong the only other theory out there so far is that there IS in fact a god, and like I said, I could be wrong, but until I feel that another theory is accurate I will believe what I believe as will you

  • @zaph1987 I want any sort of proof of your god, what can you offer? .... lets just say for the sake of argument that evolution is wrong; That STILL DOES NOT prove there is a god at all. You are making a claim that a god exists, the burden of proof is on you to prove it. I do not need to disprove it. Science aside (because this is about god, not science).

  • @2410Rooster Well the only proof I could ever hope to offer would simply be to tell you to die and experience it yourself, then you would have your proof....It is not like I have god's "cell phone" number if I could hit him up and tell him to go to your house I would. Also, how is the burden of proof on me for thousands of years ago people were proven that a god exists according to majority of civilizations they all believe in a deity of sort.....

  • @2410Rooster So since your belief of no gods came after this belief where people supposedly had proof back then, wouldn't the burden of proof be on you to prove to US that there is in fact no god? For you see the so called "burden of proof" can go both ways, you just choose to think that because you asked me for proof first and then i ask you for proof, that this is somehow out of the question...I never asked for proof in your beliefs because i simply know what i know

  • @2410Rooster if someone told me that a boiling pot of water was hot, i would not need any proof that it was because i have already witnessed prior to that event that a boiling pot of water is indeed hot, but then again that is a personal experience, where as Atheists disregard personal experiences...

  • @2410Rooster So therefore under those pretenses if you told someone told you a boiling pot of water was hot would you stick your hand in it to make sure? No you would not because you have had a personal experience prior to then that leads you to know that the water will be hot, therefore you wouldn't stick your hand in there....even if someone told you that they didn't believe it was hot, you would simply laugh and let them find out the hard way...

  • @2410Rooster So I do not have any physical "proof" that god exists...I have only my mind and my experiences that led to my beliefs, whereas you have your own mind and personal experiences that led you to your belief. Why must one always demand some sort of proof? Because to me it seems like you want some sort of proof in case you happen to be wrong, because if you believed wholly what you claim to you wouldn't care about proof for if your right when you die nothing happens.

  • @zaph1987 So why should anybody else believe in god based off YOUR experiences?

I am only responding to your claim that a god exists. I do not want proof for myself. I want you and others to think, and ask yourself if what you believe in is true. Do you want to believe in the truth. Or do you want to believe in faith? You're starting to touch a little on Pascals Wager here, and thats another debate you will lose my friend.

  • @2410Rooster I am not asking anyone to believe based on my experiences, I am merely stating that is the only sort of "proof" I could hope to show you....and I don't care about Pascals Wager, for I do not fear hell, I do not fear consequences. What happens to me after I die happens, nothing I or anyone else can do to change it, I just choose to believe in what I do because I feel it to be accurate. And also saying I believe in faith doesn't do anything to me because I do believe in faith....

  • @2410Rooster But wouldn't you technically believe in faith too, because you (and i assume you are an atheist because you havent told me what you believe but you say i am wrong) believe nothing happens after you die? You dont know for sure, so therefore what you believe is technically faith....and im not saying faith like the whole praise god hallelujah type of faith, but the type of faith meaning the belief of something without concrete evidence....

  • @2410Rooster And I have asked myself many times if what I believe is true, and my answer to that is, It could be...I could be wrong, i never said I believe this to be without a doubt true, I simply stated that this is what i believe based of what evidence and experiences have been presented to me. Hell for all we know the flying spaghetti monster is true, thats the beauty of it, no one knows, so we are all able to have our own takes on it with the possibility of being correct.

  • @2410Rooster But I never claimed that a god does in fact exist, i claimed that i believed it did....for i can claim that i believe my girlfriend is the most beautiful woman on the planet....that wouldn't be me stating for a fact she is, but merely that in my own personal opinion based on the women i have seen that she is....where as you may find her hideous, but we are 2 different people with 2 different takes on certain situations and since their opinions, thats all they will remain....

  • @2410Rooster for once again neither of us have any proof to back up the fact if our beliefs we both claim to believe (however different they may be) are true....and i am not saying this just to be like well haha you cant prove it either, but without proof we can't rule out either side, am i wrong? There is a possibility that there is a god, just like there is a possibility that there isn't one, and i would say that both possibilities are equal at the chances of being true

  • @2410Rooster No one can prove either is not an absurd gesture, quite the opposite, because when people are told they can not do something majority of them strive to try....therefore without the fact that neither side can prove simply makes more people go out and try to prove one or the other side is true for a fact.

  • @2410Rooster Either way i view it as good to have discussions about opposite beliefs because with conversing comes action, and with action comes the possibility of finally having the whole truth. Either way keep believing what you want because we are humans, we have that privilege and it is awesome, and that is one thing both of us can agree on :)

  • @2410Rooster Also in a previous comment you made, it says the church said the earth was flat, this may be true, they may have said that....but the bible never once states the earth is flat, it even says in Isaiah 40 : 22 God sits above the circle of the earth....so it leads one to believe the earth is spherical and this is from a 6000 year old book where as Magellan's expedition of 1519–1522 took place thousands of years after....

  • @zaph1987 lol I can do this too; Isaiah 11:12 ....gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth...Psalms 104:5 He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.

Now those aside, a "circle" is not a ball or a sphere, its a flat round surface. Christians try to use your same verse all the time. It fails.

  • @2410Rooster Well even a flat circular world could not have any "corners" so therefore it wouldn't be saying it was flat, just the 4 main corners of land, and Psalms 104:5 is simply talking about orbit, for we are stuck in the orbit. The earth is in unmovable from this spot because gravity demands it....gravity/orbit IS the foundation, no meteor can knock us out of place, and if it had the force/velocity to do so it would merely destroy the earth rather than move it.

  • @2410Rooster Also like I have stated many times before, I do not believe the Bible to be accurate, some things are but most is fabricated by man. For it is in mans nature to make as we see fit, so we changed a lot of stuff to make it sound better for the times back then (hence them saying slavery is ok) it was merely man stating that....I only quote some things from the bible....and very rarely for I admit there are too many contradictions.

  • @2410Rooster I do not deny the fact that there is a possibility that I am wrong in my beliefs, because I do not claim to know for certain that there is a god/s, and I know scientists never claim certainty until the concrete proof makes it so. I just feel that this is more towards the truth, and I am not one of those people who believe for fear of hell, I am not one of the people that Pascal was referring about. I simply am seeking knowledge about what is true and what isn't.

  • Christians are so quick to judge. What if you're wrong. And they claim they have nothing to lose. lol. The fact that they are so hateful, so prejudice, so wrong. Makes me sick. Always out to get the Gays/Lesbians and the Sinners. Yet, they won't follow their own bible. lol Shame.

  • this is SOOOOOOOOO painful!

  • I wish it wouldn't be so, but if it was me sitting there I would have just yelled "shut the fuck up" and hanged up after the third sentence. Damn is this woman annoying.

  • isn't there something in the bible about woman having no say over man oh shit she better shut the fuck up and get back to the kitchen like a good little christian

  • this woman is a fucking loon.

  • Lets weigh the pros and cons of Heaven and Hell. In Heaven, you'll meet people like Billy Graham and Jerry Falwell. In Hell, you'll meet people like Gandhi, Friedrich Nietzsche, John Lennon, Hunter S. Thompson, Jim Morrison, Bill Hicks, and George Carlin, just to name a few. I'll take Hell for 500, please.

  • He handled a lot better than I would have

  • Wow, she is so brain damaged! I am really sorry for her.

  • @rscape311 SHE'S braindamaged? Since when does having faith in God mean that there's something wrong with your brain?

  • @Updownaroundtown Anyone who thinks that belief without evidence, i.e. faith, is a virtue does have something wrong with his brain.

  • @rscape311 You are very very wrong, I'm sorry to say. Having faith in God is literally the smartest choice that a person can make for themselves.

  • @Updownaroundtown Which god should I have faith in: Shiva, Vishnu, Zeus, Ra, Yu Di, Futsu or Yahweh or thousands of other minor & major gods? And why? If the reasons for your belief are based on evidence & logic, then why should you need faith?

  • @rscape311 Those Gods don't exist. There's a reason why they're not being worshipped anymore, and why the one TRUE God has been worshipped and believed in ever since the beginning of time. The reasons for my belief aren't based on logic. I don't know where you got that from.

  • @Updownaroundtown Vishnu and Shiva are still being worshipped by millions of Hindus. They are Hindu's TRUE gods. They are just as devout to their gods as you to yours. If your belief is not based on logic and evidence, then there is absolutely no reason to believe that your belief is any more true than theirs. Without logic and evidence, you can believe in anything. That explains why you need faith. That is why faith is not a vitue.

  • @rscape311 All this logic stuff is messing with your brain I think.. haha. Logic and evidence will get you no where in the end. You'll see one day, when you're old and wrinkly.

  • what a psychopath. I feel so sorry for her kids and family

  • My nails, look SOOO good! <3

So, ummm.... What were we talking about?

  • "He is a supernatural god and I experience him in supernatural ways...."

Even if we owe our existence to a "supernatural" source, this deluded woman is neglecting 2 important facts:

    1. The supernatural is inaccessible to all of us and always has been

    2. There is no evidence that human beings have the ability to interact with the supernatural natural on ANY level.

For her to claim personal contact with the supernatural and then ascribe this to the "Christian" god is insultingly dishonest!

  • I'd love to stand toe to toe with an atheist! Lol!

  • He can talk.. but doesn't let her talk.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....... she is very true when she says why open the lines when he doesn't let anyone talk. BOO! WEAKSAUCE!

  • Ughhhh why can't people just realize what is the truth?!?!? GOD IS REAL!

  • Why is it so hard to understand that people are good because it has rewards in this life? Good, if it is anything, is acting in a way that is favourable to others. In a way that would be favourable to yourself. Bad, if it is anything, is acting in a way that harms other people physically mentally and economically. Is it so weird that as a social creature we learned to co-exist via a moral code of conduct? Fuck sake!

    It's funny.

You sound almost like you believe that there actually was a worldwide flood and a re-population of the world from just one family.

And you sound like you believe that God somehow had the right to drown all those people people just because they didn't agree with him.

And then you call Matt a numb-brain moron. Oh - the irony.

I suppose NASA needs garbage men also.

But seriously - I was not arguing that God drowning the world was unjust or cruel - though they would be if they were true. I was stating that God does not have the RIGHT to do it. Or if you claim that he does then where does he get that right from?

BTW - water is one of the most common materials in the universe - so the earth has a lot of it. But the flood would require 3 times as much as is present on earth. Where did that water go?

  • @RayTech70

Just because he can do it doesn't make it right.

Sure - he can drown everyone on earth. Sure - he can demand human sacrifice. Sure - he can even send 99,9% of the entire population in the history of the world to hell. He can do all this (assuming for the sake of argument exist)...

... But then he loose the right to call himself good. So now the choice stands between worshipping the evil anti-god and the evil god.

Well - I choose neither. I do have morals and standards after all...
