  • Uhh wut, i have 8800 Ultra sli and i get 36fps very high 1920x1200 no aa, how is it even possible that i can get the same fps as a gtx 480 sc with no aa?

  • This game sucks. Not because it sucks in general, but because it NEVER takes full advantage of my hardware. The most GPU usage I ever get in like 60%. That is why it is so demanding. I had times where I should have gotten 60 FPS, but instead I got 30 FPS because the GPU usage was only 45%.

  • @TheHyroi I have an i5 @ 4GHz, and two GTX 570s in SLI, and I still don't get 60 FPS minimum in Crysis

  • EVGA GTX 580 SC = EUR 475,31

    Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 OC = 180 €

GTX 580 only 5-10 Fps more... look Price

  • im getting the pny cpu/gpu liquid cooling with a stock overclock of 857 core clock would i ever go below 40fps?

  • @crazychainsaw007 Yes you would.

  • I MADE A BENCHMARK FOR BFBC2 & BF3 CHECK OUT MY CHANNEL !

  • Aww c'mon wheres the 16Xq AA

  • Crysis 1 was just done wrong. that it cant run at fixed 60fps on high-end gpu's

  • will a sli of gtx 560 ti run crysis with 60 fps maxout?

  • @karadanianoI cpu and ram?

  • @Darbaz009

    i5 2500k

    2x2 gskill 1600 mhz cl7

  • @karadanianoI nope it wont go over 40 or 50

  • @Darbaz009 why?

  • I think the main reason this game is so hard to run is because it's a fully interactive open-world, with destructive environments, and amazing physics.

If it had the same beautiful graphics, but was a linear, CoD-style shooter, with the same environments but w/out the ability to interact with them, I think this game could have been maxed out 60fps ages ago.

  • i Think the game is so good optimized the FPS is 100%more when i add anothe3r GTX 560ti HAWK at 1ghz!!!! thats how good onlynewbies would say its unoptimized because their soo stupid and got shitty pcs which cant even run duke nukem forever

  • I am also quiet disappointed, wtf were they thinking when they released this amazing game in 2007, those core 2 quads and 8800gt's could barely run it on medium. My GTX 570, i7 oc and 8gb ddr3 still can't handle it at 1080p

  • @alex14469 Well wtf man i got GTX 580 lightning now at 930 mhz and it runs 30/60fps in the whole game I tested several mapseven those heavy ones push 30 fps out!! buy GTX 580 and overclockit GTX 480/570 is shit

  • @alex14469

My Gtx 570can handle it fine at 1080p something must be wrong with youre system.

  • @Kayes21 I doubt there is something wrong with the system, the game does not get stable framerate on any gpu. Getting 60 fps is easy with my gtx570 the problem is during large explosions or at other random moments, frame rate dips so much that it becomes noticeable and very annoying. There is no way a gtx 570 is capable of maxing out crysis with aa at 1080p with a constant frame rate, its an issue with the game not the hardware that runs it.

  • @alex14469

I never said it can run with a constant playable framerate im just saying that i can max out crysis at 1080p with 4AA at a kind of playable frames rate.

  • Wow I get better fps with my GTX 460's (768mb versions oced) than both of these cards!!! Don't believe me than check out my Crysis 1 benchmark on my channel.

  • whats funny about crisis if u get the Xpac the game runs at 60 fps on what you were struggling with earlier.

  • That's very impressive. A single 580 running all that eye candy at above 30FPS constantly is great.

    *Orders eVGA GTX 580 Classified

  • can someone answer me plz ok so i need to know if the gtx 580 is worth he extra 150$ than the gtx 480 plz answer!!!!

  • @EPICNESSMAN14 just depends on if you want a higher FPS (by about 10-20), i have a 470 and i play all my games maxed out

  • @EPICNESSMAN14 I wonder the same buddy :P

  • @VonZeb lol I think I am just going with the gtx 580 mainly because it is quieter

  • I was doing the benchmark today, and i can't run it using the 64 bits option.

How did you do it, please?

I was checking steam folder, and i can only see the bin32 folder, not a bin64 folder or something like that.

Got a similar result (44.5 avg FPS running 50 loops) with a GTX 580 and i7 2600k, but running the 32 bits benchmark.

    Thanks!

  • These videos are great, I just don't like the cheap animations when switching results.

  • you used a GTX 480 non-superclocked, just like in your other video

  • only i see that there different video positions in benchmarks, so test fails ?

  • fuck GTX 580 fuck GTX 480 as well...... the 1.5 gb is useless u really need 2 GB in order for future proof .. so the best buy is GTX 560 ti in SLI if you want performance and some cash in your wallet

  • @Arnoud1987000

FYI: Two, three, or even four GTX 580s in SLi still only equal 1.5 GB of VRAM

  • @Arnoud1987000 no one wants to pay $700 for sli 560 ti for a 10 fps difference over a single 580

  • @MonstarX1 if you have the money, tell me if you'd have 100 million on your bank or even a million wouldnt you do it?

  • @MonstarX1 here its 350/400 euros for both :P thats what i mean

  • can someone help me should i buy for battlefield 3 480 gtx , 570 gtx or 560 gtx ti ??

  • @MrSinanabi how do you go from 3 480s to a single 570 or 560?

  • @n1k7873 no hehe i mean which card i need for BATTLEFIELD 3 and no 3 480 gtx ^^

so my question what is the better card 480 gtx , 570 gtx or 560 gtx ti

  • @MrSinanabi LOL! oh that's what you meant..oops..out of those I'd say go with the 570 since it's a little better than a 480 but has less voltage and heat produced.

  • @n1k7873 hmm but i get the 480 gtx für 200 € and the 570 gtx cost 300 € ..... :D i think the performance are not so much different or ?

  • @MrSinanabi If cost is an issue and you don't plan on overclocking than go with the 480. If you don't mind paying a little extra more for a 570 than overclocking it to 580 speeds than you might possibly save yourself money and gain added performance. Mind you that you could also overclock a 480 but that comes with added power draw and heat.

I had a 480 before I upgraded to a 580 and can say that the VID's on 480 tend to be on the higher side.

  • @n1k7873

so if i buy a 480 gtx i dont do anything wrong ?

  • @n1k7873

    Buy 2 Gtx 580's and overclock them like i did :D,, 130+ fps :D

  • @luukske21 I'm planning on to right after I get my hands on a FX-8150, it's going to be the final touches on my current build that's been delayed because of Bulldozer. But since Bulldozer is just around the corner (2-3 weeks) in a month my rig will be complete.

  • @n1k7873 same here also gonna buy a 8150,, cant wait anymore :P

    5,5 ghz ? :D BF3 =D

  • @MrSinanabi 580 gtx <=)

  • Wasn't crysis released in 2007? Can't believe today's highest-end GPU still can't manage 60fps maxed out..

  • @dan428 IMO that smacks more of a badly optimized game than a "OMG SO EPIC GRAPFFICS" game

  • @pnoozi Yeah that's what I was getting at..

  • @pnoozi The graphics in crysis are actually Beatufiul :D

  • @pnoozi you are unoptimized because your aresooo stupid and dont got a clue what optimising is.. this game is better optimized than any game out yet except for metro

  • @lias87 trololololololololololollolololololololololololololololol

  • @pnoozi The primary optimization was for multi-core & multi-gpu rendering...

  • @pnoozi The graphics are really nice. The game was developed exclusively for PC, so you'd think the optimization would be pretty good. Considering that they implemented some new technologies never seen before in games, the performance seems pretty reasonable.

  • @pnoozi man do u see all those trees and things? It IS good optimized...

  • @pnoozi sorry but nearly all games are just console ports and crysis 1 was made only for pc - resulting in extreme graphics which beat nearly, if not every game on the market today (everything just a console port or a onlinegame ...)

  • @dan428 no wonder! There is soo much happening in this game only thee moving trees are a lot

  • @dan428 its not a very optimized engine. plus it just looks amazing!

  • @dan428 cus it has pretty bad optimization

  • @dan428 Only 2 can O_O

  • @dan428 EVGA GTX 590 has finally managed to do it.....

  • @dan428

Probably because the game is so poorly optimized. A 4850 can probably run the game better than my gtx 470.

  • @dan428 The cards would run the game with 60 fps, but its really bad optimized, look at the xbox360 version of this game, there it is good optimized, and runs smooth.

  • @darkown777 Yeah, and the 360 version also looks absolutely horrid.

  • @darkown777 It's not poorly optimized, it's before its time. It has massive environments, great physics, long draw distance, volumetric lighting effects and the first implementation of SSAO in a video game. The 360 version runs well, but it looks like shit because literally everything that makes the PC version great has been scaled back or removed.

  • @dan428 You can make game with so demanding graphics that even in 2050 u can't maxed it out

  • @m4ht1sonni OR you could just code it badly which is what they have done here.

  • @dan428 Benchmark and real gameplay are different of course. But what you say makes sense. It's all about video card comapnies fucking things up to sell more :/

  • @zubakinny nah. it's all about you not being able to afford 3-4 GTX 580s and an extreme core processor to run the badly optimized crysis.

  • @DProductions2011 i have two gtx 580's they are monsters wipe most cards of the market im hitting 70to 80 fps on crysis max

  • @DProductions2011 no it cant any benchmark you see ever the gtx 580 beats it

  • Wtf with 1 gtx 570 I can run crysis 2 at 60 fps easy..

  • @MrRanir no thats impossible

  • @MrRanir Not on max settings.

  • For the price of one GTX 580, I can buy 2 GTX 480's

  • My 8600GT still kicks more ass then a GTX 590

  • Comment removed

  • sry maybe im wrong...BUT..i canT see that the GTX 480 is SuperClocked. . . ?!

So in my eyes this tests are great...but NOT Fair

    Cheers

  • yeah but u can get the gtx 480 for like $200 less........

  • That superclocked GTX 480 doesn't do any better than one of my 5850's (crossfire disabled, single card)... That's kinda crap

  • OMG WHAT SONG!?

  • Okay, so what does this video prove? The 580's better than the 480? Everyone already knew that.

  • @RayneRaven1 its a comparison..

  • i have the same GTX 580 ! it's ownage

  • the gtx 580 is overclocked while the gtx 480 is not. stupid trubritar

  • @mintico wtf are you talking about? both are on their own "SUPERCLOCKED" settings... nothing was changed (manually)

  • i just got my new system with GTX 580 and i7 2600k with 8gb ram. I play great on 1080p on very high with 8xAA. I get about 30 fps all the time. But what's strange is that there is almost no difference between no AA and 8xAA. And when I turn it off I get 40-60 fps. So almost double the framerate and looks almost the same lol. really happy though

  • Hey can anyone help me? I have a gtx 480 an on this benchmark i have 7 fps not the 38 fps ...help

  • @bioshock2k

the ram and cpu all play a factor. yours also might not be superclocked

  • Nvidia GTX 580 rocks!!!!!! Mine dominates this game and im playing average 60 FPS.....and Crysis is such a beautiful game!!!!!!! And now im looking forward to battlefield 3, it will be amazing!

  • Sweet my computer beat yours Trubritar with stock GPU settings!!!! Everything Very High - 1920x1200 DX10 - 64 bit - 8 x AA = Overall Average 39.275 i5 2500K @3.30 GHZ Coolermaster Hyper N520 Cpu Cooler 8 GB DDR3 1333 MHZ Asus GTX 580 (Tripple Slot Cooler) @ Stock (overclock) 782 MHZ Xigmatek 700 Watt power supply Western Digital Caviar 640 GB Sata 6.0 GB second Windows 7 Home Premium YEAH!!!!! • @GamingwithG92 Congrats, want a cookie?

  • @gamer1337omg 8800gtx was a expensive beast card, but for todays games its outdated, but runs all games

  • wtf gtx 580 consules more! overclock the 480 until gets same consume and compare then. im sure will be pretty the same

  • i found the same i have bothe the 480 water cooled card and the 58o water cooled, and they bothe get around the sane fps, in game... 580, evga doesnt suck power, is really good card.

  • why are you still on vista??

  • @kebbun1 Hes not, at 0:18 it says Win 7 Ultimate 64bit

  • @gamer1337omg DDR 2? 3 ?

  • @gamer1337omg geforce 8800 crash on 800x600 0x AA :P

  • Looks like when I get the money - i'll change my Radeon HD 5770 out for a GTX 580. Finally a single card solution can break 40 fps @ 1080p with everything maxed out.

  • Lol even the Nvidia GTX 580 can barely crack 50 fps on this game. Wtf? It's almost four years old..

How the hell were people even getting 5 fps back when the game was released?

  • Can my computer drive crysis?

    nvidia gainward gtx 460

    i5 cpu dual core 3.16Ghz

  • @95uptheirons emm i cant say for sure it will run it smoothley but you can always check a website that will tell you what you can play and what you cant. type in google "can your run it" and click the first one. choose the game or type to search, takes a few seconds and it will show the results. it should run prefect but check that website just in case. gets into every detail :)

  • @95uptheirons if you don't mind, can you tell me the results as i dont have a 460. just pass- min or reccomended - or fail thnx

  • The game is so ahead of its time it's incomprehensible.

  • Id rather see the 480 OC'd to 580's level, then tested. It has such a major clock advantage over the 480 not to mention the shader count.

  • The game wasnt properly optimized, i dont understand how it cannot run well even 4 years after its release.

  • name of the songs?

  • Не может это быть! GTX 580 это дороботанная GTX 480!

  • Ok, I'm having a problem here so I thought: lets ask the fanboys, enthausiasts and maybe even people who know a lot more.

I've got 2 5870's. 1 is an Eyefinity with 2gb RAM and 1 is a normal 1gb 5870. Both Black Ed. from XFX. Now 1st my 2gb version broke down and I sent it back. The story replied that they could not duplicate the problem. My second 5870 worked fine until today when it suddenly showed exactly the same symptoms. (See my profile for the video). Now... (see next reply)

  • @EliteGhost001

Now I don't know what it is or what I should do. I'm thinking about going to NVidia anyway so I might aswell buy a testcard right now to see if maybe its my mobo. Should I get the GTX480 for €288,- right now or wait about 2 weeks for my next payment and get a GTX 580 for €470,-? I can't realy use my computer in the meantime so I'm writing this from my laptop -__- '

  • @EliteGhost001 Get 580 - it's bigger, better and more badass. Then save up another 470 euro and buy another one. Then save up another 470 euro and buy another one... You know you want to...

  • @waterhot80

lol, 3x 580 is too much. I'll stick with max 2 cards. But it turns out is wasn't my gfx card anyway, it was my mobo which had a broken PCI-E slot.

So I'll have to stick to my 2x 5870 setup.. which I like :)

  • I have a Eah5850directcu2dis (HD5850) and I got in crysis with the same setting with 8xAA 38 Fps avergate !!

  • Can't wait till I can completely max out crysis for like $500 and enjoy the hell out of it while other people are off playing Cod11, TF3, BF3, etc xD

  • People need to understand that Crysis is actually primarily a CPU heavy application. It was designed with the mindset that CPUs were going to continue to increase in power linearly (more power on a single core through faster clock cycles instead of multi-threaded programming). There are actually videos of people playing crysis at solid framerates with shitty graphics cards because they have a single core running overclocked at higher speeds. Bigger GPUs just give better eye candy...

  • in 5 years i'll sit here laughing with my nVidia GeForce gtx 995 in 8-way sli playing crysis 3 on 400 fps

  • @mirvid in 5 years integrated display adapters will be able to play this at 60 fps lol

  • @mirvid keep dreaming

  • @mirvid im w8ing for that :) dont delete youtube account, i will pm u 5 years from now, 5.5.2016

  • @mirvid lmao, that made my night. also, make sure to wear a space suit while you do it, and get it on camera.

  • @mirvid it will only take them 2 years in 5 years it will be the GTX 1400 lol they release a new series every 6 months

  • @mirvid Lol, thats a good prediction! haha!

  • @mirvid 400+ fps is slowmotion dude

  • @Jason026P no, 400+ is the frames per second, however, if you expand the length of the time that the frames are rendered onto the display to 60 fps, then it is slow motion. But at 400 frames per second, thats a very very very smooth view that you have of the game you are playing

  • @Jason026P Do you even know how fps works? God damn you are retarded. Frames per second is what fps stands for.. meaning the game is just showing more frames in a second which = smoother picture, not slow motion

  • @Jason026P Only if you play the frames slowly. 400 FPS means there are 400 frames (pictures in essence) being produced every second. You can play the frames fast, or slowly.

  • @mirvid Lolz!~

  • @mirvid Im into computers and everything but what is SLI?

  • @Dahaka27Powns 2 cards working at same time :)

  • @Dahaka27Powns SLI is nvidia's version of Multi-GPU support. SLI is having 2-4 nvidia graphics cards and hooking them together with SLI bridges to combine their performance. It's basically having multiple graphics card's working together to act as one super powerful graphics card. Crossfire is AMD/ATi's version of multi-GPU.

  • @Nintendoguy5794 Do they work together by themselves by having both be SLI?

  • @Dahaka27Powns I don't understand what you are trying to ask.. Your english isn't so good mate.

  • @Nintendoguy5794 Oh sorry, I mean like how do you get GPUs to be SLI?

  • @mirvid looool

  • @mirvid in 5 this video will be removed from youtube for being too old

  • @mirvid HAHAH!

  • @mirvid Maybe run Crysis 3 in a GTX 1000 Series... :D

  • @mirvid Oh that's bizarre, cos in my future setup in my head, I'm getting at least 403 frames...You using DX23? And my new WD Hard drive 50,000RPM Velociraptor spun too fast and sliced clean out of my case..I'm a couple of suburbs away looking for where it landed now... :p hehe

  • My GTX295 runs on 8x AA and scores 26 FPS.

  • @TheCZDude does it keep your house warm too =p

  • Comment removed

  • crysis was a very baddly coded game like seriously ever wonder why the game made power rigs in 2007 explode cause the shit wasnt coded well and that game has a shit ton of bugs. Crysis 2 will hopefully be better in terms of system usage and performance. Prob cause its most likely gonna be a copy and paste console port but who knos we'll see if crysis 2 doesnt look better then the original we'll kno why

  • Comment removed

  • i dont believe that rig is running this video, it should run at much more fps, a hexacore with 6 gb ram and a 580 can run this game at that fps no matter what resolution or aa or graphics settings

  • You know, it seems like Crysis will never be able to run too much better. Really though, I think that even when DX 12 cards come out (Can't wait to see what surprises are in store for DX 12!) Crysis won't run any better, simply for how it was built. I'm no expert, but it just seems like no card/CPU combination is able to yield solid 60 FPS+ on higher settings. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

  • @GeekingForJesus ooh I liked your hidden sarcasm when you said "Can't wait to see what surprises are in store for DX 12!" XD

  • @Griesmayer ... I don't get it.

  • @GeekingForJesus well you know..DX11 didn't bring any noticable improvements to the table..all that fancy tesselation only looks great on Nvidia's tech demo but the games that have implemented it to date (Dirt 2, Metro 2033) don't to anything jaw dropping. The only thing that drops by half is the framerate...same shizz happened when DX10 came around. Everybody said it is so much better than DX9 and yet, all it gives you is some blue and sunrays....

  • @Griesmayer So DX 11 isn't really any better than DX 10? And DX 10 isn't really any better than DX 9? So... doesn't that mean that DX 11 isn't really any better than DX 9? I think that's a ridiculous statement.

  • @GeekingForJesus what's ridiculous is the fact that you blindly swallow any bone Microsoft thorws at analphabets of technology to impress them.

Compare some screenshots of DX9 Metro 2033 and DX11 Metro 2033 and come back to me.

  • @Griesmayer That's the same game. You think Metro 2033 is at the peak of DX 11 technology? It's at the peak of DX 9 and the low-mid of DX 11. My point is the same if you compare the DX 10 of Heaven 2.1 and the DX 10 of Crysis. Crysis looks way better. The same will be true if you compare 2012's DX 11 games with the current Metro 2033. In a year, compare Metro 2033 with the most advanced DX 11 game and you'll see my point.

  • @GeekingForJesus the point is not Direct X. It's actuall the game engines themselves. You can have crap looking graphics or great looking graphics, 90% of which is based on the engine. Whether it is Dx9, 10, or 11 only give it the finishing touches...like 10%.

Oh by the way...currently, with the graphics progression being HALTED thanks to the crappy consoles having reached their limits, I fear we won't be going anywhere anytime soon until new consoles come out....which wont be before 2013...

  • @Griesmayer

Everything with game performance is directX. Fact is that DirectX is holding a lot of PC's back. Direct X is nescesary to play game on the computer because no pc has the same hardware (or bearly any). Consoles do not have this problem. Built a console with an i7 980X, 2 580GTX and 6gb RAM, a blueray drive and some harddisc space and it'll defeat any pc on the planet. Because it won't need direct X. (I'm not promoting consoles here xD) Yes, you are right, consoles are holding us back

  • @EliteGhost001 what the hell? you built a console that will defeat any computer on the planet?Wtf , is that even possible? to build a console with your own cpu , gpu and stuff? and even more , a console that defeats all pc on the planet?...oh and consoles do need directx , they use directx 9 , computers use directx11 , well the upgraded ones.. I am sorry if i failed to understand your comment but that is all I read..

  • @jaksterDC

Na you didn't understand. I left out the word "if". IF you'd build a console with the hardware I mentioned it will defeat any gaming PC. Simply because it does not need directX (which is the program PC's need to run games).

  • @Griesmayer um...Project Cafe/Wii2 is coming out next year. And that is going to run a card 8-10X more powerful than the 360 or PS3

  • @Griesmayer about the last thing you said.... Battlefield 3?:D

u know what i think? they should start making PC-exclusive games... console fanboys got their exclusives for years, now we should get some PC-excl. games too... we fucking deserve it.

  • @gabrocki have u been living under a rock, dude? There's plenty of PC exclusives...the Total War series, Crysis, Guild Wars 2, pretty much every MMORPG you can imagine, the Heroes of Might & Magic series, SIMS, the Stronghold series, the Age of Empires series, the Diablo series, the Dawn of War series, Prototype, FEAR, Darkspore, Spore, I could go on...

  • @Griesmayer i didnt know prototype was pc exclusive. however youve mentioned all the games i do NOT play. except crysis but thats not that good imho. btw theres CS and BF2 as well right? well i played BF2. and i hate CS. :D ok u are right i forgot about them but there are many console-excl. games we should get. GOW for example. and we get many crappy console ports as well... *cough*CoDMW2-CoDBO*cough*

  • @Griesmayer neeee and battlefield 3? that's way to powefull for consoles.

  • @Griesmayer damn it 1 year after armagedon

  • 580 is not worth the price tag, like at all.....wow.....

  • As a GTX 480 AMP! (OC'd further) owner the 580 offers too little upgrade in FPS to actually convey me to buy one now.

Maybe the next one from Nvidia [680?]. Green Glasses yes but I like my drivers and card fresh and working.
