  • the reason yahweh hardened the pharaoh's heart was so he COULD kill all the babies and first born... man haven't you read the bible? It's full of the slaughter of babies, I personally think it's Yahweh's favorite thing to kill, infanticidal maniac, supreme being. DAMN!

  • what you dont understands is first you have to beleave before you can understand the bible.

Second every human has made some sins, and every sin need death. And because of the disbeleive, the people of Egypt died. Would a just judge free a guilty person? Do not say that God isnt just and dont give chanses to regret sin.

  • I thought a lot of this stuff as a child and would laugh at attempts by Sunday school teachers to explain the lack of "logic" the the "Good Book". Gotta feel sorry for them :(

  • Oh my god someone is killing my husband, I know I'll cut my kids dick off i'm sure that'll work

  • God didn't create man in his own image, man created god(s) in his own image.

  • The way some people here are talking is like no one thinks the story is actual history. First of all, maybe Moses' mom was inspired by the story (it isn't crazy, both the Egyptians and the Israelites would've been learned in that area). Second, the incredibly-evil Egyptian goddess Heqet was part-frog, explaining the frog-plague (also, wouldn't u get annoyed if U had frogs evrywher in ur home for days).

  • @JakobDailes Third, the Israelites probly wernt suffring much when Pharaoh's heart was hardened (when my taskmasters are sick, dying, or plagued by infestations, they tend not to show up for work :D) Also, animal-sacrifice IS bad. God outlawed it when Jesus came, cuz Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. The Egyptians probably got new animals by trade and such (or stole em from the Hebrews). Fourth, when did Egyptian dynasties come in? Also, The Egyptians would erase all records of losses...

  • @JakobDailes ...in battle (which is kinda what this was, right?), it's proven, so that explains the loss of records outside the Bible.

  • @JakobDailes

Wait, so animal sacrifice is bad... but then why did your god command it until Jesus?

Also, why did he require an ultimate sacrifice at all?!? Makes him sound like some angry fire-god that demands the virgin be chucked into the volcano.

  • @imrational God demanded it to build up suspense until the ultimate sacrifice. The Bible even says so! God didn't demand a sacrifice at all. Jesus came down to Earth in human form and let himself be killed for us to show his love. He could've done something else, but do u appreciate someone who just says they love u or actually proves it? The Bible says that too. And u guys read it? Really? Then how come ur asking me questions that have their justified answers in the Bible?

  • @JakobDailes

Christians say that "The egyptians would erase all records of losses", but that simply isn't true. If anything, they would try and spin events to their benefit. For example, that the egyptian gods were angered and caused the plagues. We should also find other records, like a decrease in the cost of frog legs at restaurants during that period.

  • @imrational "Their gods caused the plagues". I have a big book of Egyptian myths and stories absolutely chock full of plagues, curses, and illusions performed by gods and even the Egyptians themselves. Pick one.

  • Proof You Were Nerver Born A Sinner!

  • @cobra42029

Read your bible. Exodus 7:4 explains WHY the god hardened the pharoah's heart. He supposedly wanted to show off to the people of Egypt and let them know who was boss.

There are several quotes that clearly point out that the Judean-Christian god was supposedly the one hardening the pharoah's heart.

As to it not making much sense... we're in agreement there. Much of the bible doesn't.

  • You know what annoys me, because of the god damn bible I grew up ignorant in a sense, I mean I snapped out of it early but some thing that should just be common knowledge are only now just catching up with me at age 20, for instance until about 6 months ago I thought that the Egyptians enslaved Jewish folk as a fact when in actual fact there is no evidence for this at all is my new understanding and I'm betting there are millions of people who just take it as fact like I did. Truly upsetting.

  • @dom182

Can you imagine what Mormons or Scientologists who deconvert must think and feel?

The religious leaders who know it's a scam they're creating/perpetuating are truly evil bastards.

  • @dom182 Thank you, that is one of the things I don't understand about Atheists, if they really want to refute Christians forget disproving God, just disprove the bible. The Egyptians kept vast records throughout there history, yet they never mention Hebrew slaves, or a bunch of slaves leaving at once, or the plagues or the death of the army in the red sea, or the first born of egypt dying..I am an atheist because I have studied real science and history.

  • The bible should be rejected and burned just like the quran and the book of mormon.

  • i dont think you're an atheist, dude.

just thinking that ancient religious texts are stupid doesnt make you an atheist. most people dont take them literally, they consider them allegorical. as if the authors expected the readers to not be complete idiots. only the stupidest jews, christians and muslims interpret them literally.

true atheism requires denying the first law of themodynamics and/or your own existance. sorry... out of characters.... cant explain... much... longer.

  • @flashypaws "true atheism requires denying the first law of themodynamics and/or your own existance"

-if anyone's in defiance of this law, wouldn't it be the theists, who insist that we were "created", while cowering away anytime they're asked about how the creator came to exist? In fact, most atheists are proponents of the big bang, which isn't in defiance of the 1st law "most people dont take them literally"

-you bet ur ass they do. they just cherry-pick the hell out of it

  • DO YOU THINK SO? THE STORY OF NOAH IS IN THE SUMERIAN TABLETS FROM MESOPOTAMIA. EVERY ONE SPOKE DIFFRENT LANUAGES A THAT TIME. SO SARGON PROBABLY MEANS MOSES. BEC, JESUS GOT MAD AT THE TOWER OF BABEL. AND CHANGED THIER LANGUAGE SO NO ONE COULD UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE SAYING.

  • @JokersKush Jesus changed the languages at the tower of Babel? Have you read the bible or just the cliff notes version?

  • The bible is bull i never like the stories or believed it even as a kid i naturally rejected it.

  • Hey don't go around saying the Bible isn't true! Next you'll be telling me Edward Cullen, Harry Potter and Frodo Baggins are all fictional too! They have books about them, they must be true. ¬_¬

  • @boosie007666

Gandalf is real. One day he will return to judge us all.

  • the first thing that always puzzled me was, if Egypt had just lost an entire army... Why did their neighbors who they where at war with not use this disaster to their advantage and invade? Not to mention why doesn't any other culture have in their histories any documents of a mass migration of Jews out of Egypt. The migrations of the Germanic peoples out of Germania is documented everywhere.

  • Yay!! Baby-Killing!! Morality!! Goes hand-in-hand... um, or something.

  • The exodus is historically considered to be untrue to this measure. The general consensus is that it could have been roughly 6 or 7 people making a run for it, which seems to have been exagerated.

  • Good video dude, god..I feel bad for Christians.. "Have faith! That's why there is no evidence!" Fuck people, get off the crack and stop living your life by something that does not exsist...by the way, isn't the rapture about 2,000 years late? Lmao..

  • @Ablossey what are talking about you need to back up your point the time of the rapture is unknown. But do you guys hate Christianity so much people have a right to worship what they belive in!

  • WOW i have a completely different perspective

hell i should make a video response

  • Almost Everyone has a Different Definition of God.How can anyone been 100% sure about the Creator of the Universe? We are only Human after all.Everyone makes mistakes. So,

  • @bathwhoreE < It seems like God was appearing in person often in the Old testament; in new Testament sent his son and then in Koran his final prophet. After that God seems to have left; more prophets in the East, only representatives of God ! What happened to God ?

It seems like universe is a self adjusting entity where we are participating in our own creation. If we want war, we have war, if we want love and peace, we have it too. So God has left it to us to make it a better place !

  • How Hypocritical and Ironical when people like HAITIAN909 call it "Arrogant" of a person to be simply "Sceptical" about the bible, who does not believe in their Crap cart . I find it arrogant to tell some one who doesnt think like you to tell him that your Sceptiscism is arrogant.

  • @sushanalone I'm only sharing from my own experience. I was and still am arrogant and ignorant. Prideful and all. Don't believe in me, but believe in the One that died for your freedom. This flesh is nothing compared to eternal life with Yahweh and Christ. This flesh is just temperory. You don't have to believe now, but in the end your knee will bow and your lips will confess that Christ is Lord. Whether tears of joy or sorrow accompany those words, it will happen. First for the Jew then Gentile

  • @HAITIAN909 Now you are not just sharing your experience, you are "Telling" me with no obvious authority to believe in the rubbish of sin and redemption. Ignorance and belief in superstition is something i would regard near to sinful conduct towards yourself.A person was condemned and crucified for his way of belief. that trivial event was exxagerated to the religion we know today. if same had happend to Spartacus we would be believing in the same rubbish you typed b4 but, for Spartacus. peace

  • @HAITIAN909 Lets call the religion Spartacanity.you would be saying:Don't believe in me, but believe in the One that died for your freedom. This flesh is nothing compared to eternal life with Spartacus. This flesh is just temperory. You don't have to believe now, but in the end your knee will bow and your lips will confess that Spartacus is Lord.Whether tears of joy or sorrow accompany those words,it will happen.First for the Jew then Gentile.Thats as stupid as it sounds to nonchristians/Atheists

  • hahaha XD i have always wanted a view from an atheist and a smart one but the reason is there is no evidence is because of faith he wants you to have faith there is no evidence that is what faith is for, once again another awsome video

  • @cherrypoppinpoptart Faith without reason is a dogma a meaning and logic void abyss. any one who suggests you to follow it is a dangerous person.and when you are destroyed following the path those who led you there will condem you as having failed to do the right thing. be happy to live in delusions.

  • @sushanalone yes true somewhat if you had proof everyone one would become christian though and that is why he didn't leave proof, he wanted us with our freewill to choose him

  • @cherrypoppinpoptart How can you choose even with free will, something that has no proof, and a story without any proof is a myth , and myths should not be believed. .Further you agree there is no proof and all would be christians if there was proof; to that , i am surprised why billons still believe in it without proof??your apologetic comment makes no sense.

  • @sushanalone actually my parents never made me go to church I went with a friend and i believe because they give me answers that feel is right, I never had to go i just always thought it was interesting and it makes me feel safe to KNOW where i am going when i die, where you think we are gonna rot in the ground. If i'm wrong and you are right we will go the same place - the ground, but if i am right i am going to heaven and you my friend are going to hell so strongly advise you to get some faith

  • @cherrypoppinpoptart Well fair enough that you bought into the blackmail story of most Abrahamic religions and others. We all are going to die and our after life is: disntegrating into organic substances and base elements, mostly water that will form a part of the atmosphere, the elements will be absorbed by trees to form more organic matter and some of them after n umerous natural cycles would end up on plate of our distant ancestor and form part of their bodies. that is afterlife.

  • @sushanalone Distant ancestors as to other animals and bacteria with whom we share common ancestors.

  • @sushanalone I am glad you know what happens to our body when we die

but that as sure is hell it is not what happens to our souls, It frustrates me when intelligent people think to irrational about how the universe was made- first there was nothing then Bang! universe is created by an explosion from nowhere? how do you think that is believable and then somehow life just magically appears? how many planets have we found with life except ours?if one day we find life other than ours well thats if..

  • @cherrypoppinpoptart If you find it irrational that the Universe came into exisrtance by a big bang- out of nothing ; the fact that an intelligent Creator who spawned out of nothing to create us, set down the laws of life as to whether you go to heaven or hell, if not more, is atleast as irrational. Science accepts that atm it doesnt know how it happened but atleast doesnt bluff shamelessly to know , in absense of all evidence, to know how it happened, which is unlike religion.peace

  • @cherrypoppinpoptart at best, its a dishonest(to yourself) halfhearted attempt of holding on with both hands to the chest a book that is nothing but a fairy tale that got overhyped and was hammered into your mind since you were a kid. peace

  • @sushanalone Some think that faith is a denial of reason. But that is wrong, at least as far as biblical faith is concerned. I personally find it far more reasonable to believe that there is a God, given the data, than to believe that there is no God and that the cosmos is a simply a natural phenomenon.

Faith biblically is not so much about believing there is a God in some intellectual way; it is about acting on that fact.

  • Well, I think it was Kink Tut that lost his first born after some natural disasters, but as you said, it doesn't add up. What's God beef with cattle?

  • Hey mate I was kidding. Of course there were moral imparitves LONG before the Biblical fairy tales!! LOL

  • 1:23 yay titties! Burning bush? Maybe it was some high grade cannabis and Moses inhaled.

  • Jesus loves YOU,and he dide for you on the cross ...christ said " I'AM THE WAY THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE NO ONE GOES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME" JOHN 14:6. Christ also said those who deny me I will deny them in front of my father ....reprent your sins and accept Jesus as your saviour or when you die you will recieve the surprise of your life....sorry about the stupid part.

  • Dude first thing like you said what bible are you reading cause certanly its not THE BIBLE second thing your explanations have no logic and third it looks like your brain cannot understand what the bible really says and fourth YOUR STUPID.

  • One thing is for sure that the Bible was written by an Israeli citizen who loved his country soooooo much..

  • Why haven't you made more videos in this series? Seriously, dude, they're good videos... make some more. You have plenty of material to go on. I know, I know... life happens and it's hard to find the time. I dunno, I (and I'm sure many others) would love to see more of these types of videos. Whether you make more or not, good job!

  • If baby Moses was found floating in a river and grew up in Egypt, where did his brother Aaron from!!?? Was he a son of the family who adopted Moses or did he just pop up from out of nowhere?

  • The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.

  • How can murder be a crime in Egypt? Moses did not even get the ten commandments then? Males no sense.

  • @sgtcrab1 i think murders always been frowned upon my friend their were laws before Moses so called commandments

  • @cjhmmp and Moases was a mass murderer, how hypocritical and ridiculous.i wonder which of the 10 commandments that he spent days writing on stone and then scandalising them as divine , he himself had not violated.

  • Nice video! Interesting and informative. I was really into the music too. The swing songs reminded me of Django Reinhart, whom I love. Keep up the good work!

  • thank you.

  • Sounds like god wants a good show of dying Egyptians to me.

  • "Prove all things: hold fast that which is good."--1 Thessalonians 5:21

so for all christians you should first prove that god exists instead of moving fast upon childhood assumptions. blind faith and adherence is not proof nor sufficient..well at least according to your bible. PROOF is what matters. so prove that god exists, and you should be able to do this without the aid of a book compiled from old world, ancient myth and folklore. BTW great job IMRATIONAL!!!!

  • @HAITIAN909

You believe that the creator of the entire universe created you in his image, sent his son down to us to personally save us all and give us eternal life... and you call me "arrogant"?!?

Lol, you apparently don't know the meaning of the word.

  • Christians aren't arrogant!

Yeah, they have the secrets of the Universe at their disposal and are able to conquer death - but that's only cos they have an invisible friend who told them how.

Their knowing everything about everything is nothing to do with them, see? It's the magical sky-Jew that lives inside their underpants.

God's the one that made them cleverer than everyone else. As individuals they're actually quite humble in their omniscience.

  • @HAITIAN909 -- No, how arrogant can YOU get, saying that we all need to "keep reading and maybe find the 'truth' "??

Oh high and mighty HAITIAN, lord and master and knower of the TRUTH, please bestow upon us unworthy, unclean sinners your all-encompassing knowledge of the TRUTH of reality and existence . . .

  • @HAITIAN909 yah "YAL" oh god. what a stereotypical christian.

  • @HAITIAN909 Jesus prayed not to be brutally tortured and murdered, right before Judas came to betray him. so much for wanting to die? also, if someone comes around and claims to be Jesus, he's laughed off as a nutjob (probably rightly so at that). so how do you know he didn't give it a whirl already, but was put in a straight jacket instead of being praised? also, seems kinda pointless to sarcrifice ur innocent son to urself to forgive humans after u created EVERYTHING from scratch... just sayin

  • @dandil Yes He prayed because He was human and like all humans we ask that the cup be taken from us if its possible because of the pain thats coming. But He also knew what was yet to come afterwards. He also knew what Yahweh has control over and He had faith. Yes they are many who come around claiming to be Jesus. If everyone read their bible, old and new testament, it clearly says that when Christ comes back everyone will see Him coming from the Heavens w/ the glory of Yahweh and all the angles

  • @HAITIAN909 silly made up stories to impress credulous, uneducated peasants in the middle ages. u still didnt adress the bit on y an all powerful being needs to have his sun tortured to death so that he can forgive humanity for something they never did. if he is capable of what u say hes capable of, im sure he couldve skiped over the gory unpleasant bit and just forgiven us anyway. the explanation is clearly made up after the fact so ppl believe in a guy that lost a political struggle.

  • @HAITIAN909 Could you please pass 5 passages where God actually gives us free will without calling that "sin"?

  • @HAITIAN909 lol yeah cos those are the actions of a kind anad benevolent god who loves us right? Jesus (no pun) you rednecks are impossibly thick...

  • @hal2014

You do realize that when you called my video "dumb", you misspelled "fuck" as "fuk", right?

When you call things dumb, it is usually more effective when you don't make such stupid mistakes. Just saying :P

  • @hal2014 No, Hal, you are the dumb fuck.

  • If no one saw moses why run?

  • I like how GOD manipulated the phaaroh heart in order to keep the egyptians captive...

  • CONTINUING....

You'd think the Bible would actually NAME the Pharaoh of the Exodus. But.........the Bible.....didn't. Oh well.....don't ever question the Bible. JUST BELIEVE !

  • CONTINUING...Hebrew slaves suddenly leaving the country. Hmmm.......maybe all the ambassadors to Egypt thought the ten plagues and the Exodus...just...wasn't.....uh.....newsworthy..Yeah....that's it.

You'd think that Egyptologists would have long ago found all the mass graves of the dead first born children. of Egypt as there would be no time to mummify them all. But.....they.....haven't Uh....maybe it's all a C. I. A. coverup Yeah.........that's it. !

  • You'd think that the ambassadors to Egypt from Babylonia, Assyria, the Hittitle Empire, Amor, Greece and other countries would have mentioned the terrible plagues such as thousands of frogs, locusts etc, infesting their embassies, not to mention the three days of darkness, in their writen dispatches home to their respective governments. These cuneiform tablets would NOT be subject to Pharaoh's censors. But NONE of these ambassadors ever mention any plagues or millions of

  • Jesus is also based on an old pagan myth

  • Too many misreadings (intentional?) to deal with in one comment, but this one. The reason that God would kill Moses was his failure to honor God by his obedience in circumcising his sons. That was the mark of faith in God. Faith = obedience. God will not work through a man who does not obey. However, God was merciful. He gave Moses a second chance.

  • campdon,

I think you're miscounting. Moses killed the Egyptian and "thou shalt not kill" is one of that God's supposed moral codes... so Moses was given more than a second chance.

  • You are quite right. There are even more, but no more than God has given me, thank the Lord.

  • I tend to find that if "God" tells people to do something, then they're allowed to go against "God's" original rules for mankind.

Kinda makes you wonder what type of "God" the Jews actually worshipped and why people are so keen on worshipping him (hmm... mass murder, global flooding, temptation, jealous rage... sounds like a "peaceful and all loving God" to me... NOT

  • Peaceful? Probably not in the 21st century American culture meaning of the word. I like C.S. Lewis' comment that God is not a tame God.

But loving? If you accept tough love as an expression of love, yes. God is not a wimp. He does not tolerate evil. It is destructive. But to eliminate evil is not unloving. It is the loving choice for those who are threatened by evil and the loving choice for those who embrace evil - their evil is ended saving them from more severe judgment.

  • @imrational The ten commandments hadn't been made at this point.

  • @imrational yes one of the commandments is though shalt not kill but sin can be forgiving thats the whole piont of Jesus coming to the earth to die so we can be forgiven as much times as we sin

  • @campdon the bible has been rewritten so many times how do you know that he is misreading it? Have you actually read the original hebrew bible, the old dusty one thats locked away falling apart, the one the vatican wont let you see or test?

  • @rexmundi6 We do not have the original, only copies. But the copies we have, including the Dead Sea Scrolls (not in the Vatican) , have few variations. So I'd say often copied but not "rewritten." And, yes, I do read Hebrew but with difficulty. Enough to check the validity of most criticisms.

  • @campdon fine so you think a kind benevolent forgiving and caring god will punish a person because he forgot to mutilate his children. how would you feel if the police/legislation killed you because you forgot or didnt wish to mutilate your children, would you find it justified under "Faith" and "obedience". iamsure you would be happy and obedient to put down your life for your failure.

  • @sushanalone "Mutilate?" "Forgot?" Those are both misrepresentations. Mutilate by your standards, but hardly by the standards of mid 2 cent. B.C. or by modern Jewish standards for that matter. BTW the procedure is done in modern cultures for medical reasons today.

Forgot - probably not. But careless, yes. Maybe Moses thought obedience really didn't matter to God.

  • Damn good video man 5 ***** .

  • here's what i always thought was stupid God's actions. he appeared to Moses, telling him to tell the Pharaoh to free the slaves, but why didn't he just appear to the Pharaoh in person and say "free my people now"? I'm sure the Pharaoh would much more likely listen to what he sees in person rather than Moses saying "my magical friend who may vary well be made up says to free the slaves" don't you think?

  • sillywriter,

What I didn't get is the whole idea of an Egyptian cover-up. Why would they cover things up? A far better cover-up idea would be for the Pharaoh to say that the Egyptian Gods caused all the plagues and that he appeased them, saving Egypt.

  • both of these are flaws

  • the pharo killing every male child was not gods idea, Moses' mom thought he would be safer if flown in a basket, the princess of Egypt just happened to be sympathetic when she saw a baby floating.about the Babylonian guy, , well, both moses and jesus have pagan versions of themselves. jesus has the egyptian horus, for example. so yea, jesus and moses come from 1 long-ass line of Mosei and jesui.

  • burning bush: i heard about rare fire-resistant desert bushes that light up a lot, i was wither on national geographic. circumcision: they say it stops some STDs, but there are better methods now. i dont think there was intento to kill moses. the rod thing, i am yet to figure that out. the plauges have some explanation .

  • blood: it was red poison algee, i think it happened somehwere in CA once, some obscure sources were probably not polluted. . that caused a chain reaction in biodiversity. resulting in a lot of other plauges.

  • . oh, and the locust plauge happened again in egypt in either 06 or 07. hardening his heart, i don't get it. animal sacrifice: god wanted to give people the right nutrition for a journey (they ate parts of the lamb) . also, all the egyptians ate toxic food that nignt because biodiversity was epicly fucked over. and because they had a tradition of giving there 1stborn a double share, they died. since the israelites ate lamb, they were OK.

  • even with the crisis Egypt had, they could have still bought cattle from the Libyans, there you go, plauge #10. crossing the red sea, i heared there is a bump on there, and when moses crossed, there was a strong wind exposing it . yes, i have heard about the lack of archeological evidence. that i will give a huge point to,

  • Kalahridudex,

Circumcision MIGHT help against the HIV virus (studies are in dispute)... but it doesn't help against any others.

  • the bushes grow better after burnt, i just cant rember there name but it grows no where near egypt

  • is it anywhere close to Iran?

  • no there found in deserts in africa (if memory serves me correctly)

  • Lets say I'm blind. I love ice cream. Enjoyed it for many years and it's been a staple in my life for as long as I can remember. You say it's a log of sh*t and In your eyes it's a log of sh*t and smells bad. In mine, is a different story. I'm not ignorant, just ill informed. Maybe we can live for the future with change and not follow the past with uncertainty and failure.

  • Great video, but there's one error. Satanists don't sacrifice animals. You should learn a little bit about The Church Of Satan, and then change the joke. Or, at least point out that it's just a joke and that Satanists don't actually sacrifice animals.

  • MorbidRomantic666,

What? Next thing you'll tell me is that atheists don't actually eat babies.

  • Atheists FTW!!

  • lolol.. yea that passage about when god randomly "sought"to kill Moses made me laugh so hard, when i read it i was like WTF!?! i part of the story missing or something? the god in the bible is both Satan and "god" Satan is the angry side of God, the side he uses to test the people in order to provide himself with the chance to 'deliver"them. It was god who persuaded Adam and Eve to eat the apple.

    that book is sick.

  • wow, around 7:30 or somewhere around that time, you made a good point. How come there isn't any record of this happening? Even the ancient Egyptian writing didn't say anything of the sort about the plagues. There's always two sides of every story (or more than two sides), but when it comes to the bible it isn't. Umm?

  • Great Video!!! There is no God. Man created God because Man didnt have an explination for life.

  • wilby,

I like to poke fun at insane beliefs.

What influences me? Please watch my "Why do atheists care about religion?" video.

I do not say that god does not exist. I don't know. However, I do think it is very important to question our beliefs in order to arrive at views closer to the truth.

As to Satan speaking through me, puhleaze. If Satan were true, then Christianity would be his religion.

  • What manipulation? At least attempt to back that up...

It's not difficult to mock the Bible, it is a work of more or less pure fiction peddled as truth.

"The fact that all your energy is being used to disprove God proves God's existence..." What!?! How on Earth do you get to that bizarre conclusion? Atheism is about searching for greater understanding of our world, not disproving some false deity.

Have the courage to question your beliefs, don't just let yourself be scared by clerics.

  • It's convenient to say that anything good is done by god and everything bad is done by satan?

  • wilby

    god is dead

now im going to go sacrifice a virgin

    brb

  • Who is worse--a lying preacher that tells everyone they are saved when in reality they are lying about the true order of salvation OR YOU.

The lying preacher is worse but don't pat yourself on the back. You to are falling into the category of lying to many people a spreading a falsehood about God. You would be better off just keeping silent while you ask God to reveal himself to you. You see, as much as you are against God you could be just as agressive for him -

    SalvationJourney c0m

  • And about a loving God. You learn through experience. God gave the slaves an experience through patience. God does everything for a reason.

  • The Egyptians had milk. Then God killed the cattle. That means then they had nothing to drink. Come on. Not hard to understand.

  • timothy... you are oh-so-close... but you're wrong.

  • Circumcision was commanded by the Lord during these times. Moses' son was not circumcised, so he was disobeying the Lord. Very simple. Joshua 5: 3-9.

  • This guy is a moron....

  • sparks,

    "This guy is a moron"

Ok... but who are you addressing and why do you think that. Merely throwing out an insult contributes nothing.

  • The Leyden Papyrus was written in 3rd century AD. Where did you get your facts?

  • Kipchumba, you need to look at your information again.

It's designated as 344 recto.. that's not the year! It's from the 13 century BCE.

  • Not to mention the story of Horus is pretty much the same as the story of jesus but way younger.

  • Older*** haha

  • Great stuff.

Can you help me with that intro song?

How did you get it... where can I get it? Because I love it... and I know some-one who'd love it too.

  • killing the pharaoh's first born is like a retribution to Pharaoh for killing egypt's first born. Its like what goes around comes around.

  • forgetmepls,

The Egyptians didn't vote in their pharoahs. God killed off the first born of everyone but the Isrealites. What is that, "collateral damage"?

  • Even if they did vote for their pharaoh it still wouldn't excuse God's psychopathic behavior; that be like saying the people in the twin towers deserve to die for voting in George H Bush and others who interfered in other countries.

Also, the first born children didn't vote for anything

  • One needn't be an atheist to recognize the problems you point out. Plenty of Christian and Jewish biblical scholars are well aware of them.

  • blah diddy blah blah blah

  • freakandfrak,

    Amen! Speak the truth brother!

  • And the Quaran.and book of Mormon!!

  • I swear the Bible is plagarized.

  • Very nice. I liked the music in the background. :)

  • Awesome summary. You cover a lot of points I'd thought of and got me thinking about a few I hadn't. Excellent video.

  • aw thanks! :)

  • Prohoridzo,

Did you read about the refutation of the Egyptian chariot wheel that was supposedly found?

Wow, talk about giving false evidence! It's a shame that so many Apologists are willing to lie about supporting evidence in order to support their belief structure.

  • imrational, please dont put words in my mouth or accuse me of making claims I did'nt make-that's highly irrational of you.

The facts are:Egypt was never the dominant power it once was after the Exodus.

Besides, Babylon, under Nebuchadnezzer kicked the shit out of Egypt many times before the Persians.

You not only don't make any rational sense in that you are only making fun of your own irrational interpretation, you also irrationally interpret history any way you want to too.

  • Prohoridzo,

The wheel refutation was not in regards to you... just pointing out "evidence" of the exodus that proved to be blatantly false... so I was not trying to insult you there. Apologies for how it sounded.

As to me being "rational". You should watch my "why I'm imrational". I do not say that I am rational... my name is more for me to remember that I strive to be rational.

  • The greatest evidence of the exodus is the fall of the Egyptian empire at the same time.

Maybe you should do some rational research rather than irrationally supposing what is or what is not recorded in history just because you feel like saying what ever you want about it.

Perhaps, the many other historical facts recorded so accurately in the Bible like the rise and fall of the Assyrian,Babylonian,Persian and Greek dynasties over a period of the 1400 years might just change your mind.Read it 1st.

  • Prohoridzo,

    What are you talking about?!?

Egypt didn't fall after the Exodus, where do you get your facts?!?

Egypt was first conquered by the Persians, and then by Alexander the Great. No reference to the Isrealites at all.

  • imrational,

Your the self proclaimed rational one. Why don't you present the source of your facts?

I know for a fact that Babylons beat the shit our of Egypt way before the Persians did.

I site my references AFTER you prove yours.

You made the claims first, back it up or shut it up or continue to be irrational.

  • Prohoridzo,

There is no record of the Isrealites exodus from Egypt so how can you say that Egypt fell at the same time? That was why I was saying you had your facts wrong

  • Do you know a history written by a people with a negative view of them selves? Eqypty would have never written about their defeat. Why do you think Americans are still told to day that Oswald killed Kennedy?

Ironically, the Bible's history of the Israelites in the only negative self written history.

  • The Egyptians DID write about their failures. Also, there are countless other records that were preserved. We'd at least see a decrease in the price of froglegs!

  • Oh, I don't know about that imrational, The supply side being diminished would have caused an increase in the price.

  • Yeah, but for a period, they were overrun with frogs. I think we can agree that the frogleg market would have been extremely volatile during that time period and would give some evidence. :)

  • Babies are killed all the time, Have you seen Iraq lately?

Moses' mother did not just throw him into the water. Miriam, his sister watched over him (Ex.2:4)

Moses was defending a slave, that's not murder-involuntary manslaughter at worst. Besides were all murderers if we hate without cause.

The Bible doesn't teach free will. You really have not done your homework. If you read the Bible, you'll see Romans 9

All your arguments are based on things the Bible doesn't say.

    This is called sophism

  • Moses was not just "defending a slave". He MURDERED a man.

"We're all murderers if we hate without cause"? Sorry, I didn't understand that. Are you saying that a person who is rascist but doesn't do anything about it, is the same as someone who murders another?

The idea of "free will" is not in the bible, you're correct. The concept is presented by apologists trying to cover some of the massive holes in the bible's logic.

  • Mat5:21 "You have heard that it was said to those of old,'You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.'

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council;and whoever says,'You fool!' will be liable to the hell of fire. This is what I was referring to. Moses was defending the slave and in so doing killed the egyptian. That's not murder, nor racism, it's invol. manslaughter.

  • the idea of manslaughter is based on our laws, not necessarily the Egyptians or the bible.

After all the commandment "shall not kill" is pretty clear cut, and I don't see anything in the bible using the words "involuntary manslaughter". Now, you could say that killing wasn't wrong prior to Moses bringing the commandments down, but then that also means that god's morality changed.

  • imrational,Do the words have to be in the Bible to describe what happened? That's not rational. You're accusing Moses of murder when he was defending the slave. Wow, I can't believe you've answered this way. You've got me worried.

Capital punishment for murder was instituted way before Moses. First, Cain and Able (Gen.4). Then the first law God gave Noah after the flood. Genesis9:5,6 Also, the word for kill means murder. It doesn't mean you can't defend yourself or someone else. Are you alright?

  • I would say that the taking of an unwilling life is murder or killing.

However, let me reiterate. The creator of the entire universe... who created the galaxies, planets, countless suns, chose Moses, a man who took the life of an unwilling person as his personal emissary and instead of answering to the existing government and laws, he fled the crime scene and the country.

  • Atheist? You swear to God? By claiming there is no God, you claim to have a knowledge of everything. Because that which you do not know about could contain God. Do you know everything? Can you give us an alternate fuel source so that we can afford to go to work on Monday, that would be great! You dear sir have read the Bible, but your simple misquotes show you have not studied the Bible (2 of each animal?). All cultures have a flood account did the Bible knock that one off too? I Cor 1:21

  • 1) By you claiming that there is no dragon, you claim to have a knowledge of everything as well. That which you do not know could contain dragons, after all. Fail.

    2) All cultures do have a flood account, so the Bible could have stolen it. But there WAS a flood in the region the Bible talks about (not a WORLD flood), so the gullible people at the time thought that the whole world was flooded.

  • Who said there was no dragons? tulips, orange, snot! See I can do it as well. However that does not diminish the fact that you claim to be Atheist. And by that claim set yourself up as god. I have read some of your comments and I think you better go for agnostic, which comes form the same root as ignoramus.

And to think God loves you just as much as me.

    Gal 4:16

  • thepan777,

How is being an atheist setting yourself as a god? That makes no sense.

I lack belief in a god or gods... If I were a god, then I wouldn't believe in myself. I think you need to reconsider your definitions a little more.

  • For an atheist you are kinda thick, you claim there is no God? You know this because you know every thing; since that which you do not know could in fact contain God. It is a seventh grade argument. Your lack of belief and misunderstanding of a Hebrew text (that you read in an English translation) does not make God nonexistent. You choose not to believe, this is your God given right, but you must realize that free will is a bitch. Every choice has a consequence. Rom 1:20
