That is a little strange. Under headin damage on stone throwers, 3rd paragraph pg.93:
"Any single model that lies directly under the centre of the template suffers one automatic hit at twice the stone thrower's usual strength (even if its base is not completely covered by the template!) - the stone lands directly on top of that model. This means that a stone thrower can easily wound even a very tough monster or character."
Might help you in the future but if the hole from a stone thrower is directly over something, you dont need to roll a partial (even if the base is too big to be completely covered). If the hole is directly on it, you hit.
wrong... and tournament judges rule against this too. The rule book doesn't include that rule. It is written into rules such as for the hellstorm battery, but not for basic stonethrowers.
