  • Puta madre, qué feo le sacaron la mierda a Korchnoi.

  • "Ok you won"

"I was afraid to lose the respect of my opponent"

"It was the very first and the very last you ever won the game against me, i'm sorry"

    "But I won it anyway"

"You won it, you won it, the very first and the very last in your life yeah."

"Really, one time does in you."

  • lol...what a dick

  • it is sad because he is much much stronger then her, now he is old then she will play unfair

  • @msn140 How is she playing unfair?

  • @delboy723 come on he is much much stronger he is the best, now he is old then she wanna play duh :)

  • @msn140 So how's that unfair. She's not breaking any rules, if he chooses to compete at his age, that's up to him. If it's his age that causes him to lose, as you're suggesting; that's his choice to compete against younger players.

  • The way GM Roman Dzindzichashvili put it in a chess.com video is that Korchnoi has to get into a frame of mind where he actually hates his opponents to be able to properly psych himself up for a game. So it's not terribly surprising that he would say something like this right after the heat of battle. I'm sure Polgar has been around long enough not to take something like this too personally.

  • If I understood that exchange, she was saying something kind to him and he had a hissy fit, no?

  • @guyNbluejeans No, she said something like ''i was afraid to lose the respect of my elderers". She really was the one who started being rude.

  • @MrRazorblade999 Hmm are you 100% sure that's what she said? There's a lot of cantankerous old men out there, you know?

  • @guyNbluejeans No, not 100%

  • @MrRazorblade999 Looked like he was being rude to me. He got up out of his chair without offering a handshake. I don't think she'd have said anything like that had he simply offered a handshake at theend of the game.

  • Kortchnoi is a very nice guy, but of course he got upset for losing to this "innocent little girl". For sure he was a bit arrogant, but it's a natural reaction in his case.

  • What did Korchnoi said? I couldnt understand?

  • jewish arrogance again....

  • okey it is 43 yeares different.

  • @bilinnumberguy So you could have said something to console the kid. And the game with the woman, you could have checkmated her with 2 queens in just a few moves! Why promoted the third one? :)

  • What an uncommonly sexy man :)

  • Korchnoi the best!

  • lol, what a sourpuss, my little brother is a better loser, and that takes a bit!

  • korchnoi's not a bad guy. he was just upset that he lost. he's one of those old school characters, so you have to expect a little bit of sexism and racism here and there. he underestimated the awesome strength of the polgar sisters, but it's no reason to hate the guy.

  • You guys don't know until u lose to a lower rated player in a blitz game....people talking about sportsmanship...play a 1 min chess game and lose to a scum who runs like a donkey for time win

  • I didn't know that dinosaurs from the triassic still played chess.

  • I would have said, "I know how to remove that fear of losing. Let's go to your hotel room."

  • Comment removed

  • The position is an elementary drawn endgame. Anyone who thinks white has a chance to win is a noob. TRUTH!

  • She should have slapped him! I would have really loved to see that...

  • I'm sure that Korchnoi didn't mean it seriously. This was bant.

  • @perfectpl4y Nope, Korchnoi has been like that the last 80 years.

  • Comment removed

  • @Pippin76 what he said was perfectly legal, but if was like that for years he played chess then he could calm down, but past 80 years? Your saying he was a bad sportsman even when he was a little baby :) Thx anyway for reminding me though hehe

  • not nice person

  • Did that mean that he would never play her again?

  • Shit happens, he's an outstanding human being regardless.

  • SO interesting the way folk twist the situation here to suit their favourites! The entire and only point of blitz is to win IN TIME. A loss on time is just as great a loss as any other. If you can't make a mate stick in the time left on your clock, regardless of material (which is never the deciding issue by itself in any game) then your opponent has played better and you lose. He lost. If there is anything to say on his behalf, then perhaps he did not understand what she was saying?

  • @1978ajax You better play table tennis thn not a chess. He has matrial up and he loose on time.loosing on time doesnt mean you played worse...she had to shut up i guess.

  • @1978ajax watch?v=WeyXKTVYen An another example is this.Again here we see a women behavior .Carlsen wins this but makin a blunder most probably time pressure. It some times made by men too.You can win a game in such conditions but it doesnt show you are better thn them. The problem is this guys bragging with this kind of stupid wins.Other thing is in world as tradition ppl try to find weaknesses of good things. If something is good it is just good.and it s easy thing.

  • nice boobs

  • @6anatolyy4 nowhere in the video can you see her breasts, you idiot

  • @iDraw3G Throw out a fishing line...a clown always bites.

  • @6anatolyy4 you're the dumbest troll in the world

  • @iDraw3G The second dumbest actually..

  • Korchnoi did not like her looks, face and finally the last straw broke her back..her comments..

    Korchnoi rocks..

  • i looove the sisters polgar!

  • korchnoi has been pissy all his career from what i have read ; ) very difficult! but, he had a touch existence with the police state on his back.

he gives a simul in december, can not wait to play him. i hope he tells me what a fish i am.

  • @patrickJMT

Korchnoi is a strange chap, he even turned on his team after he lost to Karpov - ask Raymond Keene, though he too is a bit of an odd chap. Come to think of it, a lot of good players are rather odd - I have played several over the years - it seems to go with the territory. Good luck, and maybe you will get more than two sentences out of old Viktor.

  • @Nyctasia Korchnoi gave up everything to become a strong chess player and I mean everything. So when he loses at chess it's a lot more than just losing a game. It's really sad.

  • Ny ny ny ny ny ny he lo-ost with a gi-irl!

  • When your opponents doesn't shake hands after he losses the game, it means he is pissed and you should not speak to him.Just leave the board and ignore his attitude.Sofia knows this but she was too much exited and can't hold her emotions.

  • In an interview about chess, Kortschnoi was very kind and absolutely not like here. He should have taken it with humor. In a blitz all can be.

  • @WildeChristian I saw that interview as well. I was surprised when I saw this :(

  • he is absolutly right, she had no manners. even kasparov had the decency to not annoy him after the game. polgar is verry arrogant with her fake talk

  • I really like Sphia Chess but, How old is he? How old is she? Playing blitz? LOL.

Those who says that Viktor Korchnoi is a bad looser can kiss Viktor's ass (and from that distance, suck my dick too).

  • Don't blame him. Hey, it's very tough losing to a girl lol.

  • He was a pawn up: he should have won! cmoon you don't play a blitz then win on time and say you were affraid to lose....

  • @scottriano the position's a drawn rook vs. rook and pawn endgame. Even amateurs can draw that. There is no way a grandmaster can win that against a grandmaster. Had it been classical timelimit a draw would have been agreed for sure.

  • Wow! I´m so disappoint with the GM Kortchnoi. One of my brother is named Viktor to honour him, but what a bad loser!!!

  • Generally you don't talk to someone after you've beaten them. Let them say something first. Once you lose, you just want to get away from your opponent. That's chess. No one takes losing well. After a loss, I've seen adults wipe all of the pieces off of the board, storm out of the room and to their car w/o saying a word to anyone. Kids are the worst. I've defeated kids and they'll start crying. There was a woman who would never resign. 3 queens against her lone king, just kept going

  • @bailinnumberguy Those people you were talking about have problems

  • @bailinnumberguy You had 3 queens? Why? If you had enough space to walk two more pawns to the last rank, there should be enough to mate the damn king with two queens.

  • @Jayakiran1 I'd played her a few times and beaten her badly, but she wouldn't resign after she was completely lost. I was pissed off so I prolonged the agony. Bad sportsmanship on my part.

  • @bailinnumberguy also generally you shake hands after loosing, which kortchnoi did not do.

  • @bailinnumberguy Yes, it's normal to let a losing player offer something first. I did see one instance where a Polish player beat a guy, and admittedly played a nice game. The losing party offered a quiet handshake, and was probably set to depart, when the victor started exclaiming about what a beautiful game he'd just played, and how there was nothing Black could've done, and demonstrated how he'd have executed the mate, despite the fact that the poor man had already resigned

  • Korchnoi for one so great, you behaved like a grade A prick! You would think of all his years of experienced he would have gained some perspective. Perhaps someone could buy him some.

  • You go girl!

  • One little moment of anger from the legend, nothing serious, i was hearing about this video like something scandalous and horrible, this is no big deal, Viktor Kortchnoi ok little angry, after this blitz game and it does look but come on, it is nothing, I respect his work, life and energy for chess.

  • I heard from some one that saw this happen that Sofia and a german female player were teasing Korchnoi. Any way it is funny and I am sure victor is cool. I am rated over 2100 uscf and I am sure most people saying that nasty stuff about him are 1100 i.e. fish , patzers . lol

  • Wow, a chessplayer being a jerk (what a surprise).

  • Korchnoi is not a poor sportsman. Obviusly ppl claim that dont have idea about his personality. Im sure he had his reasons for outbursting. She is being ironic after all. What he must do? bent the head down and go? He said what he felt like to deflect her ironic comment. And for the record: THAT WAS REALLY THE FIRST AN ONLY TIME THAT SHE WON AGAINST HIM! check it out..!!

  • @kostasrallis so having the personality of an asshole means you can never be a poor sport? I'll just treat people like shit and say that it is my personality and that will make it ok. Sounds great!

  • I played him in a simul back in 1983 in Pasadena, CA. I was a kid and I could tell he was a jerk.

  • damn right Korchnoi doesnt give a fuck.

  • As sour as his attitude is, that's the kind of thinking that takes a good chess player to the top. Nothing but down right contempt for your opponents and egotism.

  • @dmed312 No it isn't. Just look at todays top players, no idiots like that among them.

  • Sofia looks older than him..:)

  • what a loser

  • Was Korchnoi really upset be Polgars' last innocent comment? The 49 second video clip sure makes Korchnoi look like a sore loser. Maybe some bias though. The unusually short length of the video seems suspicious to me. What might have been said or done before this clip was shot, maybe even seconds before the camara was turned on? How can we villanize Korchnoi for being upset, when we don't really know why he is? Thanks to a great camara operator, who loves Polgar, the world will never know.

  • isn't his abuse endearing?

  • Korchnoi sucks lol

  • Once Kortschnoj had a lost position in a simul - where he won about 80% of the games - and guess what he did, he simply did not move anymore on that board, he ignored it simply and his oponent, and avoided to say the simple words: " I resign, well done." His oponent - a very kind amateur - was shocked to be treated like this. This is very bad I think.

  • @TheAccelerated That's very poor behaviour unless there were any particular reasons which we don't know about, and from what you're saying , there weren't, and this small video clip indicates he's a very bad loser. Similar thing happened to me on ICC, i was playing a GM in a simul, had reached a good position, and he just declined to move again, instead he let over an hour of his clock drain away instead of moving or resigning. I lost a bit of respect for him after that.

  • what a pig

  • old fart...............good work sofia

  • korchnoi has to remember to shake the hand after a game, what a asshole!

  • korchnoi always was an asshole.

  • The reason she said that about the losing respect, is because the first thing you do when you lose a chess match, you extend your hand, and HE didn't.. So she was like, I was afraid I was going to lose the respect of my opponent.. which she did. he was a big baby if you ask me and I don't care how old or long he's been playing..

  • @nockuout1 totally agree with you

  • @Miracle67 Thank you, And I agree with you, if you have the same opinion.. I was really talking to the people on here trashing Sofia.. But hey, what can you do ? lol there are morons walking all over the place... :~) Cheers.

  • @nockuout1 Of course, nobody likes to lose a game, but what the hell! Mrs Polgar is a respectable chess player, and mr. Korchnoi, after so many years on the chessboards could only admit his lost game, whitout offend such a pretty girl

  • The reason she said that about the losing respect, is because the first thing you do when you lose a chess match, you extend your hand, and HE didn't.. So she was like, I was afraid I was going to lose the respect of my opponent.. whidh she did. he was a big baby if you ask me and I don't care how old or long he's been playing..

  • It's amusing to observe that in the 'meganz1993', 'mindyandsara', and 'Chelle427' accounts, bybel pretends to be a teenaged girl. Looks like he's fulfilling his homosexual fantasies while spamming YouTube all at the same time.

William Bybel is a convicted CHILD RAPIST who resides at 1325 Pennsylvania Ave in Bethlehem, PA. He raped two young boys aged 8 and 10.

  • I love them both....cheeky liitle so and so Susan ;)

  • She should offer draw at least and no pretend to win on time to a "Chess Legend" who was 75 in blitz....and finally her stupid comment....

  • There are more Bad Losers in chess than any other game.

  • Where is the jewish brotherhood here ?

  • Korchnoi may be a very good chess player but he is a poor sportsman and obviously a sore loser.

  • @ace942

This seems to be a common trait amongst many grandmasters, sadly.

  • @ace942 you obviously do not play chess

  • @patrickJMT Actually I play in a club. While no one likes losing, you learn to be gracious. I do not rub it in when I win nor do I throw a temper tantrum like he did in this video.

I know that he is a great player and this is probably a case of catching him at a weak moment.

  • Disrespectfull of him. But funny.... (-:

  • I think she says, "I was afraid to lose the respect of my opponent." I presume she is referring to winning on time.

  • korchnoi is so much better even now. woman arent as good as men in chess.

  • Korchnoi should have offered a his hand. End of.

Whatever Sofia said afterwards is irrelevant.

  • why are chess palyers like babies?

  • I was a chess player but I now play the game of "Go". I have to say there is a different mind set between chess players and Go players - there is a general difference in attitude. In general chess players seem to be grasping to win every game and take it badly if they lose - they lack grace. Their ego is so much in play. Go players take on the spirit of the East. Traditionally, Go players value their opponents; a spirit of respect and courtesy accompanies the game. As in the spirit of karate.

  • My first impression, I was disappointed to see a great chess player like Viktor Korchnoi react in a childish manner, a sour loser. Again, I'm not quite sure what Sofia was saying to him. Did she say something like: "I was afraid to lose it but now I have (earned) it"? Was she just trying to be polite by saying something to him to break the silence or was she herself gloating infront of him? If she was gloating then I can understand his reaction somewhat.

  • I don't hear much about Sofia Polgar. She must not be that popular in the chess world. Only Judit and Susan are as far as the Polgars. She must be at the bottom of the totem pole. I even thing Dzindzichashvili would beat Sofia easily, and not only beat her, but would walk her like a dog to the dog pound, and ditch her.

  • What did she say? I was afraid to lose ...'against an elder guy' or what was it she was afraid to lose aginst?

  • well, i can understand korchnoi, miss polgar was very rude, i still cannot believe she treated korchnoi so bad. she should be ashamed , you dont talk like that to a chess legend like korchnoi.

  • "Deh first and lahst you ever wun deh GAYME AGAINST ME!!"

  • what an ass hole kotchnoi, he was nervous but what a fucking reaction.

  • Susan Polgar has done nothing in chess compare to Viktor. He has been two times world chess champion challenger and is still a very dangerous opponent for tops GMs.

  • He may have been a good player back in his day but he came across as a sour loser in this video. He should have just lost with dignity and not like he did here.

  • ha ha I love Korchnoi

  • Sofia Polgar tried to stay nice and respectfull to 'the old grandmaster'. But geez, what a prick! Once a loser (against Karpov for the World Championship) allways a loser!

  • @Bl4ckR0ck ... Traitor? He defected to improve his quality of life. Nothing wrong with that. BTW, socialist, you're increasing Google's profits just by being on this website. Think about it.

  • Very rude old bastard that... He lost and should take it like a man.

  • Typical woman behavior hahahahha .korchnoi is very right on this. She rude not korchnoi.

  • @omer131 Lol?

After the game Sofia went out of her way to say something nice. She said something like "I was afraid of losing the respect of somebody like you..." and Korchnoi snapped back "this is the first and last time you ever beat me."

How RUDE of that distasteful woman. Wait, no, you're just a complete retard.

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD

She tries to win by timeout a lost game and its quite rude behavior.

  • @omer131 It's a BLITZ GAME. Time management is part of a BLITZ GAME. It's not rude at all; in fact it's how you PLAY blitz chess. If you both have 5 minutes or whatever it is to play a fast game, it's nobody's fault but your own if you run out.

  • @omer131 The game is a draw in the final position if Polgar is white after black pushes the pawn whites rooks goes the back rank and has infant checks that black king can't escape without losing the pawn

  • @MrLdh77 Yes, that's called the Philidor position.

  • @omer131 I can see you're not a chessplayer. Winning on time is what you do i blitz. That he might had a better position doesn't make him the better player. The best player is the one who can use the time most efficient, which she obviously did! The old man was unfortunatly a sour looser, and couldn't take being beat by a girl. But then, he's of that generation. He used to be one of the world leading players... about 60 years ago!

  • @omer131 no she is not.. the game is clearly for white

  • @BR177 Clear white win? see 0:16 to 0:20 They both have 1 rook and korchnoi has 1 more pawn. Are you stupid or what?and there 2 games i guess because in begining of video korchnoi was white.

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD yes, she tried to empathize ... I agree with you

  • Comment removed

  • when you consider the cognitive speed of an 80 year old brain vs a young gifted mind like hers, she did indeed probably win her last game against in some sense. In his prime, he would have paved the street with her.. Kortchnoi /bow

  • @CE750 The reason she won't win against him again is probably because the uncertanty of his survival to the next game! Sure he was a prime player in his days, but that doesn't make him less of a bitter ol' shite, who can't stand a girl sweep him of the board!

  • games with speed are difficult at a certain age. But with his experience Korchnoi beat this woman 24-0 in a standard match

  • Anybody who play chess knows how is the feeling when one looses. He had to "defend" his ego somehow.

  • Korchnoi is an ass

  • ha ha I really like her ! She is rude, my kind of woman.....

    I love u Polgar !

  • You do not talk to legends like that.

  • is this an intro to a porn film?

  • Old fart vs. Young tart

  • What are you all talking about? He is obviously a bad looser!

  • English is not the native language for either of them. He probably thought she said that she had lost respect for him. Either that or his Depends were leaking again.

  • What a rude bitch. He lost on time with a better position and she wagged her finger and cheap talked to a legend.

Good for him to put her down; to be honest she deserved a good hard slapping.

  • actually if the pieces are what i think they are it was a theoretical draw

  • True and I think this one was theoretically drawn too as the defenders king is in good position and not separated from the pawn by files.

Nevertheless he was material up and that bitch Polgar was offensive. She should have been more respectful to Victor.

That's the very first and the very last time you win a game from me - hahaha what a great put down and sooooo true too

  • @CaraBrimleyRules better position ? black cannot win no matter what

  • @BR177 Check out both my comments. I said it was a theoretical draw. Nevertheless he was a pawn up. They would have agreed a draw in a normal game but he had more chance of winning on the board in the heat of the blitz.

It doesn't alter the fact that Polgar is a rude bitch back talking him like that. He should have slapped her hard.

  • @CaraBrimleyRules it is not a theoretical draw... it is white game... it looks like you cannot play chess neither

  • @BR177 White won game on time, I'm talking about the position on the board.

  • Comment removed

  • hell yeah slap that ass then use ur white bishop to poke her stinkhole, u know she wants it, look at her

  • @KBoogs719 She is gagging for it make no mistake. I wish Viktor had slapped that rude bitch hard and then see if she is still smirking.

  • She was imploite with this oldman

  • @Iraqi1011 How?

  • Is it me or is this guy a bit of a sore looser.?

Dude I would play her or any of her sisters, knowing I would loose, just so I could stare at her cleavage.....and maybe play a little pocket pool.

  • The bitch was rude. She wagged her finger and cheap talked him after he lost on time.

But you are right, the Polgar sisters are good for nothing apart from pocket billiards.

Has any one of them even challenged for the open world championship? I don't think so.

  • there lots of poor losers in chess that claim the antics of the the other player are unsportsman like. I onced played my the president of my chess club to draw after I made a good sacrifice. Later if was mentioned that the sac was 'uneccesarry'. No duh.

  • w a bitch to take a winning and talk after this. 1 rook vs his 1rook 1 pawn endgame. at least dont say any word if u cheap shoot an old man

  • She should be cleaning his boots.
