As opposed to Halo's "amble about back and forth moving vaugely towards the enemy while shooting", or Gears's "find cover then shoot from cover", or Modern Warfares "Scuttle about aimlessly while shooting?". Very few modern FPSs have decent AI. Hell, Half Life marines were better than most these days.

I always use personal ion cannon and lasers on him and Petrova, works really good and they are stunned for a while by the blast :3

Ok here's how I killed this mofo, it cost me like 5 deaths to figure it out. I reach this "boss" with 100 health and no armor, so it was a little hard. Ok, run in circles picking up any armor you can, the mutant will chase, if you dont turn around and face him you can be safe (sometimes it catches you anyways so be warned), when he screams (or taunts) turn around and shoot a ion cannon on his face, repeat. When hes on the roof ill prefer flamethrower. Try to avoid walls and/or barrels, lamps. GL

Yeah, I too prefer using the BFG in this battle. I also found it always amusing to finish Raveshaw off with the automatic pistol when he jumped up... It is my opinion that Raveshaw wants to go with style and therefore jumps on that upper level. :D

A way much easier way to kill him than just spamming the flamethrower at him is to use the mobile ion cannon (think that was it's name, might be different) still just use the huge laser cannon you can find at some places and spam it on him, does hellof a lot of damage >=D

@lazy4295 The only problem with Personal Ion Cannon is that it takes a lot of time to reload.Thats why I prefer the flamethrower or even the laser chain gun.

@pivotedsticks1 Thats not really correct. At that time the AI was not the best. The enemies quite beg to be shooted. They just run into you and you can shoot them. They don't use cover or something the like. Medal of Honor had a quite good AI.

When I fought him the game actually glitched. He got stuck in the ceiling and just stood there while I pumped rounds into him. The he fell down with a sliver of HP left anr ran in circles around the wall until randomly dying... I was confused as heck but I beat the mission. rofl

I just used the Laser Rifle the Black Hand uses and try to get as many headshots as i can while trying to outrun so that he doesnt use the grab, then when he gets on the catwalk, i just use the sniper rifle and keep pounding him with lead in his head until he dies. it takes some time and practice and i died a few times but you will defeat him. The personal Ion Canon is also a great way to beat him but i think i missed it or forgot to use it when playing this game xP

what the game missed was a nod side of the story in the campaign mode. unlike all other C&C series. It would be nice if they would make a remake of renegade one with a first person view and allowing you to build a base in multiplayer. with todays graphics and physics it would become a very populair title.

Here is how you avoid him, run up a ramp, jump of an edge very close to the ramp and run up it agian, try to shoot him while you are doing this.

these tiberium-mutant scenes were freaky shit when i was younger...i can only think westwood had their whole C&C story start to finish in their head, even when they were making tiberian dawn, until EA fucked it up

I came across an easy way to kill this guy when I was doing it with my dad a week ago:

-Use the flamethrower, PIC if you have him on the platform... (For headshot)

Then, first thing you do: RUN FORWARD! yes, keep on running. When he roars of tired-ness, turn around with the FT, shoot him for THREE seconds, then run. Always run toward power-ups, when he jumps on platform, headshot him with PIC, and when he heals snipe his head.

Remeber, to ALWAYS hold down W when he is right behind you!!

just a Hint of how to kill Raveshaw the mutant, when you minus his HP till 0-HP left, and when he keep on shooting him and still he doesnt die, u actually have to wait for him to jump up to the ceiling and kill him so that he falls off from the ceiling, becuase the game decided to make it that way, which is rather diffcult becuase ur actually waiting for him to jump up there and kill him, while his on the ground, u cannot even kill him even when he has no HP left.
