the new guitar player in this band, mike supina, used to play in my hometown in a band called alucard. They were fucking amazing and you should check them out. supina is an incredible guitar player.

I saw these guys open for Strung Out a few years ago, and the lead signer of Strung Out said that they have to stop taking bands that are better than them on tour with them, and yes he was talking about AWS, cause AWS has thee most energetic live show i've ever seen!

Just like everyone else...I am completely amazed that these guys are not the biggest f'n band out....they should be. Such an amazing mix of complexity, emotion, talent, energy--and they've got hooks too. Well, at least some of us appreciate them and will always support them.

Wilhelm Scream and Propagandhi are the 2 best Metal / Punk crossover bands out there. Unfortunately, Strung Out has hit the skids after peaking with Exile. And Thrice doesn't shred anymore!

@Rikkisteve Thrice dosen't even play good music anymore, like they decided to stop sounding like themselves. It's really a shame, because they used to be one of my favourite bands untill they did like Alice in Chains and started drifting from the sound that got them where they are and started experimenting WAAAY too much.

NOFX's style of punk is so much slower. They basically aren't even the same genre. They all can be grouped under punk, but I don't think AWS will ever steal their fans or anything.

I saw Wilhelm open for Strung Out once. Both amazing bands, both pretty well on par with each other for showmanship. It's hard to say long term who will be most remembered.

@TheGNards It's honestly amazing to me that Wilhelm isn't bigger then they are. Every show i've seen them play (east coast) has been to like 100 people or less. it's ridiculous. I mean... makes for an awesome show cuz you can literally stand right in front of the stage. But these guys are amazing man. definitely my top band at the moment. I love NOFX but AWS is a completely different style of punk. just pure.. raw.. aggression. Each song just kicks u in the fuckin face harder then the last 1.

@TheGNards Strung Out is by far the better band.Such an awesome transition from skate punk 2 melodic hardcore.Jordan's one of the greatest drummers ever aswell.Although i love AWS the only thing i think that is better about them than strung out is the bass.In punk Strung Out & NOFX will always b the greatest in my eyes

@dkane411 I like A Wilhelm Scream a lot, and they're probably technically better at their instruments than NOFX but that's all they've got over them. NOFX have an unreal amount of great songs, whereas in my opinion AWS have a lot of filler on their albums. NOFX are punk rock legends; don't be so irreverent.

I know they're nothing alike, but in my humble opinion AWS have a lot of average material compared to NOFX, who don't have many songs that I dislike. Just my opinion though, obviously. AWS are still a great band.
