No one said they were excerpts. It's a summary, an illustrated study guide, in no way intended to replace the work itself, simply to help explain it.

1.) Those aren't actual excerpts, but paraphrases.

@otterinedog I totally agree. I have studied the poem intensively and paraphrasing dilutes the intertexuality and intended allegory of The Fairie Queene. I almost vomited.
