@xRukiaxIchigofanx Yes, but Rin and Len ACT2 are the only versions of Rin and Len available on the market. If you buy Rin and Len from Crypton, you are buying ACT2. There's no real point in telling people the difference between ACT1 and ACT2 when ACT1 isn't even available anymore.

Japanalso has less phonetic di, and it expresses things through tone change stressing the words like English. Furthermore, English Vocaloids have to use 2,500 sounds per pitch to make English sound right and Japanese only 500. Really, saying english sucks is better then saying Japanese sucks, languages have their charms and perks...

For those wondering if VY2 is the last release for Vocaloid2, the answer is yes(somewhat sad, but true). As of Vocaloid3's release there will be no more new characters for Vocaloid2.

@BoneDaddy6938 Vocaloid 2 is now unsupported, which is why Crypton's V3 line up is being announced next summer. There will be Vocaloid 3's likely with Kaito and co and their Appends/English voicebanks, but their not the offical line up. Its been speculated Crypton overshot all their V2 projects. Luka Append included should have been V2 and CV04, also meant to be V2, suddenly has dropped out of existence.

"VY2" is his name and "yuuma" is his codename.

Its the opposite of the CV series where Hatsune Miku is the name and "CV01" is her codename.

miki is a different case though because her full name is "SF-A2; codename miki" whereas the others seperate codename from full name.

And Internet co who seperate product name completely from mascot name.

Yeah the studio s like to keep this simple... Really they do...

@018975 They are meant to be more "professional" along the lines of the earlier English Vocaloids. They aren't aimed at the "Otaku" culture that has grown to love Vocaloid, and are instead aimed at professional musicians.

@1GoldenComet1 "Secret" is sung by Luka in English. plus she also sings scarborough fair. In fact, there are many songs made by producers where she sings in English. To be honest, most Producers are Japanese and therefore can't use her English voicebank beyond a few word insrts aka "corruption garden". She is one of the weaker English voicebanks, but still can do the job. Many bought her because she does both the Japanese and English engines even outside of Japan.

I think most of the songs are alright now, but when your listening to the Vocaloids, Big Al's is notiably different and less "developed" then the others. After that, its Sonika's song, but honestly... I don't think your going to get much better with her. :-/

My main draw to Vocaloid is a fascination with the technology and the independently produced music and music videos. The characters are fine, but they're wholly superficial and I feel that the western fandom focuses on them too much.
