Thank you very much for making this video. I stare at myself and other people and try to draw them, but it never works out. I usually just stick to drawing lighter skinned people, which I have been called racist for (Which doesn't make since because I am dark skinned.) This really helped.

There are anatomical differences. They have to be represented acurately to capture the essence of every human. I think it is great that he is giving us the basics. It will make our renderings more life-like and give our art strong foundations in capturing likenesses. BTW- if you are in a courtroom representing the participants, don't you think they will want accurate drawings? I know the media does.

As a young black author and illustrator I find this very helpful. :) My main character that is basically African in my story keeps coming out looking more biracial, even with her dreadlocks. It's rather hard for be to draw an African face that is slightly turned to the side and still keep it looking...African.
