The GW was my ship from 96 to 97. I forgot just how loud it was when this stuff was going on. I still remember being taken off the ship on a Monday for my medical discharge and the ship leaving on Friday for six monts in the gulf.
I am a plank owner of that ship good to see footage of her on here brings back alot of fond memories. Maidend deployment 50th anniversary of d-day and many good times. Hope she sails long into the future and may god protect all that sail on her.
I was in Deck Department from 04 to 08 and was more than likely a rig captain for one of the stations during this UNREP.

Thats the USNS John Lenthall, home ported out of Norfolk, VA. I was on board that day. Quite a sight.
