Then I have my favourite book: "The Wind is my Mother" by Bear Heart and Molly Larkin, it's about an indian schaman, his life and culture. I warmly recomend it. There you can really read and see how similar the ancient culture/religion of the celts and the indian culture/religion are.

yes it is celtic, it is just a more modern type. U2 is considered celtic music and they use some newer instruments for example

no, U2 are not considered celtic music BY ANYONE IN IRELAND and anything with keyboards that claims to be celtic is just outdated new age diahreah to the ears that went out of style in the 80s. if its not played on acoustic instruments it is not celtic, its just a pile of smelly new age shit like this garbage here

Music is one of the many things people have in common. we all listen to it when we're happy, sad, angry. this is the sort of music that calms and soothes people world wide no matter their background, culture, race. Unfortunately so many people dont bother taking the time to. they listen to the latest "music" and miss out on this magical, real music. I'm still in highschool and this music is what helps me go on when I feel like I cant take the stress and pressure I feel to be perfect anymore.

@IHaTeD2 the free youtube to mp3 is a good one. there are so many converters its hard to list...i always end up going from one converter to the next trying them all out lol as of recent i really like the firefox add ons since i don't even have to leave youtube or give out any info. its nice :D

I don´t know why but i feel connected to the old traditions and i see many pictures of mountains, forests and the see. It is like a trip to my deepest soul with all my wishes...
I come from Germany, maybe I´ve celtic roots, too.
It would make me very proud...
It´s so terrible that the celtic culture died in in central-europe.
But it´s still living in Ireland....

Also it fill me with passion and love, help me to catch my pen and write what I feel inside, clear the road ahead.

This is music for the soul. Really beautiful music! Long live the ancient celtic culture - it's still much alive, the Romans couldn't destroy it totally. The old celtic religion reminds very much of the indian and Sami cultures.

Strangely enough, many Celtic teachings were written by monks who wished to preserved the religion, despite "st." Patrick's determination to eliminate it. He personally burned 180 books of ancient Irish literature. What is truly fascinating is the similarity you described, and it is true to the fullest. @plaveoci2 ...very much the same, such as the various Goddesses. Today, more and more people are looking towards Earth religions and departing the orthodox chains of society. I was one of them. I used to be a Catholic, and for many reasons, I converted. There was absolutely no spiritual development at all, and that was one of the things I desired.

@plaveoci2 Anyhow, I recommend the following books that have inspired me, and I hope they do the same for you. 'Celtic Magic', 'By Oak, Ash, and Thorn', and 'Maiden, Mother, Crone' by DJ Conway, as well as 'Druid Power' by Amber Wolfe. I still read them for information, and there is no lack of it in these books. They should be available at amazon(dot)com and Barnes and Noble.

@celticbattleaxe Thank you very much for your information. There is another book too that inspired me: " The Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley, I have it on DVD too. Then I have my favourite book: "The Wind is my Mother" by Bear Heart and Molly Larkin, it's about an indian schaman, his life and culture. I warmly recomend it. There you can really read and see how similar the ancient culture/religion of the celts and the indian culture/religion are.

@plaveoci2 Yeah - Mists of Avalon is one of my favorites. I LOVE Loreena McKennitt on the sound-track too, especially her 'Mystic's Dream'. I'd love to read that book, 'The Wind is my Mother'. I wouldn't be surprised at all of the Celts met the Natives in the Astral Planes.
