topbananabunny - how can you say that?? rhydian voice is very very far from whiney and his version of this song CANNOT be compared to the original!!! Rhydian is a classical baritone singer whereas white and torch are just a pop/rock band!!! :O

@ColinSmith11 all covers open themselves up to be compared to the original ...not sure why someone being classicaly trained makes them superior to "just" a pop/rock band, many pop/rock artists have fantastic voices/interpretations of songs & many pop/rock artists put in just as much hard work in perfecting their art as those who choose to train their voices and if it wasn't for the talent of "just" pop/rock bands then Rhydian wouldn't have such fantastic 80's classics to cover on his new album .

Only heard the end of his appearance on This Morning so YouTubed' this as I thought he would sing it well. Far too whiney and not a patch on the original.

Also IMO let down by untrue proportions, otherwise a compelling, slightly disturbing, video showcasing Rhydian's multi-faceted talent perfectly.

He portrays all the anguish and emotion of the lyrics so well, it's the next best thing to seeing him perform live.

This video is hilarious. The butterfies, crazy look in his eyes and the way he sews on the mannequin dummy reminds me of Buffalo Bill in The Silence Of The Lambs. I keep expecting him to sing, "It rubs the lotion on its skin". The director must have been taking the piss.

this is fantastic, it was a risk for rhyd going into a slightly different style but is one which i think, and hope will pay off big time!!!! He's much better doing what he wants than being controlled and pidgeon holed by Cowell.
